  1. someone has messed with your ignition dude
  2. We can be very sincere in what we sometimes say but be sincerely wrong at the same time. Perception is 9/10 of how people receive us. Sorry to whore this thread with philosophical crap.
  3. just jokes Kietz
  4. yeah and Kietz should know with all the experience he's had
  5. I think you need to watch more cop shows bud..........oh thats right, VIC's aren't allowed to watch Underbelly
  6. lol....who lit a fire cracker under Andrew?? There's only one person you don't mess with in these forums and thats the Nightstalker (well maybe Kellie & Cara also) Think I need to buy you a beer buddy
  7. Huh....are you and iLEC related Deano? Dan, next time we catch up, remind me to give you a friendly slap...........actually, I might need a good accountant one day and you look like you might be able to add up better than my current accountant, so I take that slap back
  8. ya killin me Steve and driving me to an early grave............now I'm starting to sound like my old man
  9. Steve, I don't recall giving you permission to display any of my private pics
  10. If keeping absolute control of your emotions all the time 24/7 was a prerequisite for entering the force, then there wouldn't be any cops on the streets. You're asking them to be machines and that's just unrealistic.......you by self admission have a short temper so you should be able to understand this better than a relatively calm person.
  11. what are you trying to say Steve, that I look older??? alright, alright get up off the floor.............double it then if you must and you're getting very close!
  12. I drove mine back from Sydney with coilovers and got through inspection at Sturt with no issues. ADR's for non turbos might be different though.
  13. "if you want a job"............thats always the million $$$ question and generally the answer is no. After all, once they are released and on a release program, authorities & rehab officers need to know their whereabouts for a set period of time so they jump the long queues with the cheap housing trust accommodation and end up in a small unit thats more comfortable than the cell they were in with more government hand outs and dirt cheap rent. So why would they want to work. Humiliation & public flogging is free and they can go back to work the next day.........or as soon as they can walk again.
  14. yeah I agree that our prisons are way too comfy and punishment for certain crimes are also pretty soft but the Aussie justice system (agree with it or not) is built around rehabilitation which means keeping crooks out of prison at all cost, hence the amount of slaps on the wrist they get. They figure a petty thief will not be rehabilitated in prison, will only learn new crimes and once released will be unemployable (so the tax payer supports him) and will commit bigger crimes to survive. Money is another issue......last time I checked (long time ago) we pay at least $100,000 a year for each crook incarcerated. A better solution to our justice system (as barbaric as it may sound) is the introduction of public flogging for petty crimes which works a treat in countries like Singapore etc and its free for the tax payer. Civil lawsuits and compensation should also be alot easier to pass on from the crook to the victim.....make them pay you with either their possessions or work for you for free for a certain period of time.
  15. yeah you're right but cops are human too........I'll give you a scenario; Say for arguements sake that you're a cop near the end of a grave yard shift and has just pulled a mother out of a wreck caused by a drunk driver then moments later you both watch her kid still in the wreck go up in flames, then an hour later you arrest some teenager doing 200 kph up Port Wakefield Rd..........are you telling me you wouldn't want to ring his neck.
  16. ooh yeah, now your speaking my language
  17. 21
  18. Bubba is real & he's waiting for you.........maybe a romantic dance for starters followed by a nice quiet dinner for 2 Sorry to hi-jack my own thread but I couldn't resist
  19. yeah thats pretty much spot on because the difference between fresh air and a 6' x 6' cell with Bubba's bad breath is only a wrong decision away and he likes little boys.
  20. yeah I really like the PFC but if only it had knock control & correction like the STD ECU rather than just a warning. Apexi need to get their act together and bring out a new model like the Motec & the Haltech E11v2........maybe some extra features and a 32 x 32 map. Some anti lag features wouldn't go astray either. Maybe some launch & traction control. Other advantage of PFC of STD ECU is the ability to process info alot quicker.
  21. Good question Mark. You don't need to be a cop to detain anyone but there is a fine line between detaining and imprisonment or holding someone hostage. Regardless of what people say, you have no powers of arrest but you can detain. What happens if the guy that you are detaining tries very hard to get away, how do you hold him without assaulting him? If you can detain someone without hurting them, go for it. Having said that, if you were to grab a serious crook and sat on them till the cops came, 90% of the time (as long as they didn't require medical attention) the cops wouldn't bat an eyelid. Just make sure you don't grab the wrong guy.
  22. Pretty accurate stuff in most cases Nick. I like the odd Paley, Corona & Bundy so what does that make me........a drunken mess if I drink too much & keep mixing!
  23. Need more info on mods etc......assuming normal fuel, how much timing, what are the AFR's, etc? If its a GTR with PFC & Exh, then its excellent power....if its a GTR with 10g spent under the bonnet, then its very average. Ramp speed at 150 is a good start (more realistic & comparable to real life on the bitumen). On the other hand, too many tunes are done at 200 just to impress the customer with numbers and are generally fine on the dyno but pingers on the bitumen going up hill.
  24. Just to make a few things clear with all the keyboard heroes out there, because of all the vigilante crap on "Broken Into" type of threads, this is how the law stands if you touch a crook: If you walk past a situation where life is being threatened, you can intervene by using either equal or less force to diffuse the situation, once the danger is diffused and you decide to run after him and take him out, you'll be up for assault at the very minimum and he'll probably get off with a slap on the wrist due to some smart lawyer technicality. If you try to defend property with any bodily force, you will be charged unless you or someone else was physically threatened in that situation. There is only one situation where you can use equal or greater force to diffuse a situation (legislated approx 5 years ago) and thats if you wake up in the middle of the night to find a total stranger standing in the doorway of your bedroom. In this kind of situation you can safely assume that he is desperate and prepared to commit grevious bodily harm at the minimum. Having said that, if you decide to shoot him, the law states that all firearms must be registered and locked away in either a steel cabinet or strongroom, separate from the ammo. So, if you catch someone trying to break into your ride, by all means challenge the guy but if he trys to get away and you go after him, be careful how far you take it and hope you have a lenient magistrate. On the issue of cops, they would have to be the most frustrated people on the planet because of all the lawyers in parliament. Don't elect ex lawyers into parliament!!! The cops catch the crooks, have to carefully word hours of reports that can't be discreditted by a magistrate (when they could be patrolling the streets instead), just to have the case thrown out of court because of a hero vigilante or some other pathetic technicality. It always amuses me how the guys that flame the cops the most are always the first to call one for help the minute their ride goes missing. Your enemy is not the cops, its the lawyer knobs in parliament that create the legislation that the cops hate to enforce. Cops are too overun with red tape and court appearances to have a decent street presence. So next time you get pulled over by a cop for something stupid that you did, think of what he has probably endured or witnessed in the last 24 hours.
