  1. Going into politics as an Independent Owen? One rego on my R32, my R34, my bike and 4W scooter will do just nicely thanks
  2. I hearken back to Mark Skaife's comments 3 yrs ago where he complained about overregulation of motorists whilst... a) quality of roads is poor > requiring infrastructure as mentioned by you guys already > road upgrades and b) driver education is woeful. 1992: A high school D&T teacher was killed whilst cycling on the GWH Valley Hts on his way to Springwood HS. It was found that he was clipped by a rear vision mirror of a 5-tonner. Cyclist, motorist education > awareness > responsibility is necessary NOW! After gaining one's licence, one shouldn't have to wait until one's licence is lost to have to go to shock-n-awe "traffic offender" groups! After gaining one's licence, cyclists, car/truck/bus drivers should be all put into a room and have a 2 hour growth group > and you're not allowed outta there until you've acknowledged something!

  13. Not to worry... Some ppl are thinking smarter rather than wk harder - probably on both sides of the ethical fence. A different band of honest to goodness ppl are having a look at this today (as well as those who've already given support right here on SAU).

  22. The work of Photographer Dr Trix Jonker The last two shots appearing in the Daily telegraph today. The warthog apparently got away, but wandered into its final ambush > devoured by the lion.
  23. Hahaaa... The year was 1975 and I was managing a chemist at Walder Rd Hammondville. This cretin would not obey my repeated requests > demands to ride his bike elsewhere instead of up and down the front of the pharmacy strip. I thought, "Wtf, this idiot doesn't deserve to draw breath!" I filled up a bucket of water and lie in wait. Sure enough, he rode up as though I were a toothless tiger and I let him have it. Whilst sprawled out on the ground bawling and two elderly customers were waddling towards the shop not believing what they were seeing, I dashed back in wondering what excuse I'd have to offer to the boy's parents - especially whilst dragging a damaged bike home and gravel rashes on 3 limbs.
  24. That figures. My 1st R34 GT-R had a VS2 sticker on it when it wasn't.
  25. May I throw another one into the mix! I'm leaning more towards registration - yes, for kids too! Over many decades, I've picked up 2 distressed and traumatised kids off the street due to accidents. * If the helmet or bike had a registration number, parents could be notified straight away. * If I'm noticed attending to that child by latecomers, at least I can't be held responsible for causing the kid's distress whilst I've taken note of the rego# * If our dogs have chips to facilitate the location of owners, shouldn't kids be linked the same way to their parents? Only then, does it come down to the cost.
