My Bayside Blue R34 Vspec Gtr - Finally Detailed
GTR-N1 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
That's good enough to point the CCTV at > catch mailbox thieves! -
Read?... Read?... Read? Read is different from understand is it not? Isn't the intention of an insurance company to furnish a PDS to be understood as well as read? Surely, an insurance company would never ever draw up and distribute a PDS that couldn't be understood! Never! So if one is to understand a PDS, how can he/she not compare one to another before making a decision? I've spent hours joining the 'dots' and the PMs I've been getting tell me it's been well worth it. VOILA!
-
Read the PS on Post #1 again! It says that the Shannons 2006 PDS will be updated!!! They talked to me today, and they will send out the latest PDS on Monday!!! According to the 2006 PDS, what I've posted is correct. You've never asked me about any experience that I've had in dealing with car insurance. In fact, you've never even PM'd me either! I've written psycho-legal reports for victims of MVAs and sat in case conferences with both traffic lawyers and survivors. Terms of reference (including car insurance and CTP) were then furnished to me, to subsequently write reports.

We drove Fred Gibson and Jim Richards & their wives up to Trackside Restaurant, 85Km from the airport & they liked it. Check... * fly-by-wire * for rust * A/C front and rear * history of service with odo + the rest Sorry, but I haven't delved into that forum as yet. Top of the line models are nice. In NSW, DOTARS expects these to be sold as vans with no seats n belts > later, the importers would re-instal everything
-
I'd go and see that Mark! Hehe...
-
Yup Terry's former car... Pics taken by our beloved Prez... Outside Terry's place... And beside Rod's Chassis 4
-
2 personal reasons - neither of them financial though. ...to be revealed at a later date I'm thinking.
-
At last... Just Car PDS details have now been posted throughout "Topic Headings" in Posts #2 to 11. Another insurance company that covers 'grey imports' may be added to the above mix next week.
-
Yikes! I've just emailed Terry about a prospect...
-
...one that's registerable; or just track dedicated?
-
Yup > off to the picnic. Since ppl are making fun of my ice creams, I think I'll bring the other car and leave the ice cream 'van' at home > let 'em suffer in 36 degree heat - jk Fortunately, down near the Nepean River it shouldn't be that bad - especially when the breeze shifts to the south + there's shade
-
Terry Ashwood may consider an R35 as down-payment for the Winfield GTR + Group A spare engines + 4 sets of wheels + trailer + technical support. All in "General Automotive" section!
-
World's longest lay-by + This old man hasn't carked it = Nick is 100 sleeps away from claiming the most beautiful hi-flow Cat on earth. Lol
-
You mention his attention to detail Cazz. Well there's another car that used to be owned by Terry; and now it's owned by an SAU Member. One could tell that Terry was meticulous with this brand new "Personal Import" because 34,000Km later, it's still like brand new. Attention to detail? It's in his makeup & it shows!
-
...and I brought an ice cream van to dyno day last Sat. Yup.
-
Damn right Ash! I wonder if the new owner will still have access to the former GM technicians? Would it be difficult do you think to find an alternative qualified tuner for such a management system?
-
The NRMA PDS has so many omissions in it > bit of a nightmare > had to rely on a 10 min phone conversation with staff. Just Car PDS will be perused next - again, sorry for the delay to this thread as well as PMs.
-
*cough > lol My name isn't Leno, Fox, Laws or Billy Joel Actually, I'd still be happy with my original non-V-Spec GT-R. And I can recall settling into my lounge in our newly built house in '92 watching those godzillas at Bathurst. I wanted the GIO car to win > 'cause I treat ppl for smoking. Hahaa
-
You can install two fold down bunks in the trailer - so sell your house hehe...

Well it's here on SAU, before it hits the Motoring Mags. Under the rules of Classifieds, a price must be set: but being such an iconic car, I've placed EOI details of the Winfield Chassis #5 R32 GT-R in General Automotive instead. "There are less than a handful of "Touring Cars" in Australia that can be labelled as iconic. The Nissan Winfield GT-R is one such car. In their day, the Gibson Motorsport Factory GT-Rs were recognised as the most technically advanced and fastest "Group A" "Touring Cars" built in Australasia - and arguably the fastest throughout the world. Because of their unbeatable prowess, the GT-R was responsible for the change of direction of motorsport in Australia to the current "V8 Supercar" class of to-day. This particular car - Chassis 5 - was the last build of GT-Rs by Gibson, and is considered to be the "ultimate" of all GT-Rs ever raced. It was specifically built for Mark Skaife to contest the 1992 major events. Consequently it won both the Australian Touring Car Championship and the Bathurst 1000 that year. It's best known for that controversial, but deserved Bathurst victory when co-driver Jim Richards stood on the winners' podium to confront and shock the unruly parts of the mob, calling them "A PACK OF ARSEHOLES". After 21 years have passed, the legacy of Jim's 'ungentlemanly' outburst has not abated, and certainly, nor has the car's interest and intrigue with the public, to its stunning performance... As the 1992 Bathurst 1000 marked the final year of "Group A" racing in Australia, this car was taken back to the factory and fully restored by Gibson Motorsport, and thereafter mothballed... Terry Ashwood purchased it from Fred Gibson in 2001, and during its current ownership, has been actively competed in "Historic Racing" events and displays throughout Australia. The maintenance programme for the car has been kept to the highest standards with Ashwood continuing to use Fred Gibson and many of the Gibson Motorsport technicians that originally worked on the car during its reign. Its most recent 2012 (fully documented) service included a complete and extensive mechanical walk through, with a fresh Nissan Motorsport engine replacement; a transmission and full drivetrain dismantle and service; new AP front 6 pot calipers with full rotor replacement; and a full suspension service. The car presents as brand new, both mechanically and aesthetically, with no expense spared in any aspect of the car. Included with the sale are both original and current C-O-D logbooks in addition to all major components including the specifically designed fully enclosed car trailer, two spare Nissan Factory Motorsport "Group A" engines, 4 wheel sets, complete Gibson suspension casting assemblies, four Nissan Motorsport diff assemblies, four Gibson Motorsport turbochargers, 1 spare Electromotive Engine Management System, 1 original Electromotive Data Logging System, body panels, numerous parts, original clothing, trophies, technical data, original dedicated PC computers etc. If you want the best, then here it is! This car will suit the most avid collector! Inspections will be made available to "genuine buyers" only. Suitable trade-ins may be considered as a part-payment. Price on application to Terry Ashwood during business hours on the east coast of Aust. if phoning 0415.262.855 Or email [email protected] " ^ ^ ^ Well there it is! Let's hope this beauty/beast stays in Australia???

JD, all of the above posts are spot on. In addition to those, I can only suggest that particular care be paid to how you market the car. This will make your car attractive enough to enquire about. Your manner on the phone and your frankness about even the slightest flaw may then convince the prospective buyer to pay a visit. When the prospective buyer knocks on your front door, it should be in pristine condition. I have more comments to make about all 3 points ^^^ if you wish to PM me.
