  1. May I also add that the above process should be done on a day of low humidity, followed by more days of the same? May I presume that any leaks in the storage garage or car mouldings that contributed to the mould or faulty heater core have been rectified?

    Damn Hot Huh?

    * Disaster conflagrations kill people * Disaster conflagrations kill off huge numbers of fauna. * Grid-like controlled burn offs give people & fauna a fighting chance. * Anyone - Greens included - who is a radical activist against controlled burn offs is guilty of reprehensible idiocy!!! * Especially when feral cats can traverse tracts of land so much faster than echidnas, devils, koalas, wombats and goannas.
  3. Matt, If I allowed you to borrow my car... 1) it's my responsibility to inform you that the car is unregistered if the rego has become invalid and 2) the CTP will have also lapsed which means I will have abrogated my responsibility to you if you got injured in a crash
  4. It'd be great to see an audiovid of this on your car if you have one Brandon?
  5. I wondered to myself as to whether or not it was an 'age thing' (- me being an ol' fart); or a 'fashion' thing. My '99 version has been maintained with the original 'stove oven' look, and that's been my preference.
  6. Courtesy needs to come from all parties. * the driver in the overtaking lane needs to complete the overtaking manoeuvre without fuss * the one about to overtake should keep his distance from the one ahead whilst he accelerates. I learnt my lesson on the Hume and other 2 lane highways after copping stones from trucks and accelerating cars ahead. Tailgating has caused me to lose a fog light or windscreen before.
  7. Yes, sometimes the 'poor' approach works well - particularly near the end of the month. And they have your Phone#, so they might call within 2 days eh?
  8. They all have little spurts of depreciation Bill. Used car sales have been slow lately. Even the media has been spruiking the fact that new car sales are up, whilst used car sales are down for the interim. I test drove a 6 speed EVO of late at TSI and loved it. One just has to be prepared to have the extra cash to replace the gear box to a 5 speed when required.
  9. If you receive in the mail two things, a) your rego renewal and b) your CTP renewal > yet still, you let your rego lapse > you're deemed as knowing - but failing to renew.

Yeah, that smell is unforgettable + the roar of a nearby firestorm is terrifying!
  11. Ask Aggroman is he has a spare set to loan you perhaps?
  12. Go to two Hyundai Dealerships that are owned by competitors > get the 'best' deals you can at each place > say you'll think about it > go back to each place on Thursday 31/1/13 and see if they'll drop their prices to boost monthly figures (from remaining stock) > create a reverse auction if you have to, saying, "Well such-n-such dealership is willing to let us have this for $*****. What can you do"? You may then hear the response, "If we can match that and supply extra optional extras, will you be willing to do business now"?
  13. Noone and dori34 are correct. Ignore any advice that recommends cleaners with bleach, which is likely to leave marks.

Sorry to hear about the heat wave > raging fires > lost homes > 1 death already! I hope your volunteer bushfire brigades are well manned! Insurance paid up?
  15. PM Aggroman and see if he still converts them. He's done some great jobs.
  16. It's called "Nismo Black" but I had to rely on pics out of a Performance Imports mag. I couldn't find a colour code to work from Tom.
  17. Well there we have it!.... Back to 31GUN's Post #1
  18. It's powdercoat Tom and the job costed $400. Included was a resin that helped dust to not stick easily ie. slipperiness This also means that no "clear" is required
  19. Hi Tom, These were originally bronze as they came out from Japan - and underneath that, they were white. This is how they look on my white GTR. Rota Grids will look the same. My extra set has been powdercoated the same - "Nismo Black" which is a satin black - or semi-gloss. I preferred "Nismo Black" over gloss or flat black. These were done by Craved Coatings - but in Perth, I'm sure you can take these downloaded pics for reference, and get them identical.
  20. I use Malco Banana Wax to remove black soot from the bumpers rather than polish because it won't abrade the sealant. Eventually though, maybe once a year, I'd go back to polish > sealant > wax sequence
  21. If you look at the underside of the block forward of the front turbo, and it has "24U" embossed on it like Adam stated, it's an N1 block. Does it have this? What does your paperwork say? Pics will be good. What tells you that your car is a "Nismo Edition"? If Nismo had ownership of this car in Japan, they may have simply utilised a V-Spec N1 > and now you're checking this out. Can you put up pics?
  22. Are you trying Bobby, to totally convince my wife that I have a fetish? ...and that's after 33 years of denying it - lol? These will look gorgeous on any car I must say.
  23. With Bayside Blue... Before... After... Eugene had changed his preference of Sealants from Zaino to Optima by this stage. Hope this helps with your darker colour too Gary.
  24. Thanks Alex. Before... After... Sealant and Wax went over the polish of course. Hope this helps.
