Yup...
GPS Cons
* higher risk of accident through momentary inattention
* reduced positional sense within a suburb/municipality/city
GPS Pros
* stress free locating
* no more domestics
Bayside Blue on GTRs is a 4 layer paint with a thicker base coat apparently.
Every panel was about the same micron thickness and the only panel that couldn't be measured was the C/F bonnet. The boot and engine bay were similar to other R34 GTRs and of course thinner.
Apparently, other colours that have been detailed at JDM_Performance exhibit paint thickness from 120-180. Eugene would love to get his hands on a BsB GT to see if the paint is the same thickness as the GTR
Peter at Bodyformaero also mentioned that my side skirts and pods (procured there) would need to be painted a special way - and get the base coat right before they'd match the rest of the car.
Yes it's the N1 that has really thin QM1 paint.
Eugene's Midnight Purple III paint is 180microns compared to the the thicker BsB.
* Whenever one inspects a car that has had damage repair, it's then that different panels have different thicknesses ie repainted panels have thicker paint than the original ones.
I've just done some research to-day Marko after some PMs between us.
Haynes Manuals Inc (aka Bookworks) has quite a few Owner's Manuals for the ADM R32 GT-R available.
They retail at $54.95, but I wonder if a Group Buy can reduce that.

A local panelbeater had a car there with dented rails. His Tech teacher friend was inspecting it, so yours truly has a squizz.
The teacher said that the rails can be boxed or the cheaper way was to drill a hole in each rail > thread it > insert a bolt > pull the bolt down.
Rangers tell me different stories based on their own interpretations of the law re Loading Zone
With a Stag (admittedly with trade plates) I was told I had 15 mins. With the Foz I was told that I had to be in the process of loading or unloading; sometimes with a time limit; sometimes without.
Then I realised I should look up what the rules actually state like Matt said > never got around to it.
My interstate anomalies and thus failures include...
* trying a hook turn in Brisbane and getting pulled over
* nearly running over 2 passengers alighting from a tram in Melbourne
With just a few more details eg full name & address..., a fake POA can be made up > raid your bank.
Most banks will ask for a registration number on the POA. Some don't
A registration # on a POA application is procured through the Dept of Lands.
When white is a tad dirty, it looks filthy.
When it's clean and shiny, it looks angelic!
And when it's the white R34 GTR, it's angelically super tough like above!!!
Congrats guys
Well your efforts don't go unnoticed.
If the missus tells you to clean the shower screen, the toilets and the kitchen floor, just point to the brake-dusted cleaning cloth over your left shoulder and say, "Sorry love, get in the queue!"
hehe...
I don't know what your time-line is Lucas to procure that 4WD. Do you need the 4WD urgently?
If it's not urgent, you can operate with Plan A for about 3 months to sell this modified 'sleeper' as an entire car. You must have envisaged this whilst you were upgrading surely?
I say 3 months because December and January are very 'slow months' for car sales - even if they're used cars.
If you need your 4WD urgently, you might try Plan A for just 1 month until mid-December > switch to Plan B and part it out.
Methinks you'll get more money that way, and avoid the 'slow months'.
Polish > Sealant > Wax
Overall...
* Wash (with a quality item without wax in it)
* Clay Bar (if necessary, with equivalent lubricant - and there are different grades of clay too)
* Polish (again of a certain quality & grade)
* Sealant (preferably on a low humidity day)
* Wax (containing Canauba)
If its a dent & not a crease, the suction cup that's used by a panelbeater or a dent remover might work. Talk to one of them. The surface where the cup adheres will need to be smoothed down though.
WUT?
You can't imagine THIS ^^^ on the front of a Car Mag?
Lol
What daughter wouldn't invite this guy home!
Her Mum would ask him in for dinner!
Her Dad would want a ride - and boast the next day to his neighbour what kind of car he had in his driveway!
