  1. Now that's a nice wallpaper! ^^^ ...since I can't have it!
  2. Nup. Not me! Rumours abound! I'm looking for another car though Simon. Whilst we're in the photographic section...
  3. Good. Did you get DVS_JEZ to look it over for you; or were you conversant with what you were looking for?
  4. Simple to lower the rear end with cargo bay full o' beer
  5. Front of JapLink's new building. View from the Clubroom.
  6. Yes, the XT runs at about 11l/100Km in the suburbs (without stop/start or flogging it). squareznboxez' is a really nice example. Mine is getting scratched up by this guy I take out for brekky on Sat (whilst caring)
  7. They were a really nice shape when they came out Lachlan ^^^ And James, it seems that yours is an early E39. What model? Many ppl say it's the best 5 series ever made > the best saloon car in the world at that time with it's new suspension componentry etc.
  8. Tis a fashion. Some fashions stay: some fashions go. What will this do?
  9. It seems like your door bounced Chris because you forced the door closed whilst the catch was in the 'locked' position. Plan A:- Locksmith Plan B:- Join "Roadside Assist" > wait 2 days before it becomes activated > throw in the neighbour's 3 yr old kid > lock passenger door > leave windows down an inch for air > call roadside assist > lean on passenger door whilst mechanic tries to open the driver's door > video the operation for insurance if door gets destroyed > become a neighbourhood 'hero' for 'saving' a 'wayward' child who 'climbed' into your car Jk
  10. If your system is a big-name one & was installed professionally, the wiring is probably black; and so those wires might be hard to separate from the rest of the looms. How confident are you to locate such wires? If your car is a thief magnet and you desire to have a good alarm/immobiliser installed, it may not cost much more to have the old system replaced with a new one, than to have someone simply remove the old one.
  11. Hiya Genelle! Like all male gender cars, a rubber mallet might come in handy, if the odo doesn't roll over in bed
  12. The more you stare at it Genelle, the slower it goes
  13. That black Nur Michael, had 146,***Kms on it in Japan > Just over 20,***Kms here in Oz. The dude is using the same modus operandi Yes as well as insisting on Japanese history and auction report, cursory giveaway signs are... * bolster wear * carpet wear * steering wheel wear * gear knob wear * scratches under driver's door handle * windscreen wiper arms ageing * key scratches on ignition collar * windscreen mouldings * scratches on driver's door sill * plugs should most likely be original on a 30,000Km car * coil pack looms should be supple and not hard * wear and tear on front bumper if original * pedal rubber wear ...and that's before you inspect for rust or damage repair
  14. Don't get too excited Ricky - the next door neighbours might get the wrong impression! Hehe...
  15. Thanks too go to other importers who've brought my attention to this. I take note of the fact that the car is priced as $48,888 > geared to some unsuspecting Asian buyer? It should be $4444
  16. +1 You and I both know Tom, that this company has a 'reputation'. A repaired black Nur was sold by them this year, to one unsuspecting buyer being a case in point. ACA was investigating them about odo tampering And there's more yuk... Good find Ash! And thanks on behalf of NSW guys.
  17. Pedders sells the D-brackets separate from the corresponding D-bushes. You'll need to supply measurements when on the phone or take the car there
  18. Is there the smell of fuel in the car, because I suspect that if the car has been started several times and not driven, the plugs are fouled? I'd get new plugs and ensure they're gapped to 0.8mm Can you ask your tuner if the Adaptronic ECU has been set in such a way that it's possible for fuel to foul the plugs if the car is left idling?
  19. Many thanks! It sounds better than JaPLink's & SAU's BBQ! It might even be better than mine > got me thinking Lol
  20. Your client can be proud of you Mitch Sometimes procedures are different because of the condition of the paintwork. So were there any idiosyncrasies you had to overcome?
  21. Lol There are Low Ramps that fit underneath low slung cars > drive up on them > trolley jack > jack stands.
  22. According to your Avatar (-with lights out) + slogan, you're "lovin it" Have you initially removed the loom connection and sprayed it with Inox or some other anti-corrosion spray to improve current flow through the terminals to the lights? You might try that before pulling apart the switch/stalk
  23. I had Nankang S once on my 4WS 4th Gen Prelude. > in the wet after crossing the Victoria Bridge Penrith and following a Vectra on a left hand bend, I lost control and did a 270 > unperturbed, the Vectra just drove away, still doing 60Km/Hr approx > incensed with how these Nankangs with only 6000Km useage performed in the wet, I went to Blair's Tyres who are their agents > Blair's rang Nankang and told them my story > Nankang to their credit offer very good service but, > they offered me another set of the same - Lol > I sold the car - only because I was 'over it' of course > told the buyer to be careful in the wet
  24. Do "Maximum Weight" specifications come with that? Even though it can remove a large wheel, I have concerns about using this to lift up such an enormous weight as 1/4-1/2 a car.
