  1. is anyone else having the same prob im having with very sluggish load times for the boards? doesnt matter where im logged in, whether it be school or home, or what browser...its as slow as a wet weak... im guessing it has something to do with the new host, just thought i should check if its happening to anyone else. and no, my net is fast and not capped

    Wheel Widths

they dont neccesraily have to measure the tyres to tell, they could just read what size is printed on the tyre and compare it to the placard.. maximum width stated to be 215, so theoretically 225 is my max. then again the idea of replacing the placard with one off a GTSt/GTR is a good one. anyone here fitted 18x7.5 rims to their line? howd they fit and what offset were they...ones im quoted are 18x7.5 with +38 offset. cheers

    Wheel Widths

(posted this also in the Naturally aspirated section, thought id post here since its a VIC thing) just looking for some clarification. looking at getting new rims (need em bad) and looking around. most 17s/18s are 7-8" wide. thing is, my current stockies, as stated by the placard are 6" wide, and im in Vic, and the restriction is stated as being "more than 25mm greater than the widest wheel specified by the vehicle manufacturer for that model or vehicle series" to be compliant. now, thing is, take a R33 GTR for example, they came with 17x8? inch wheels, correct me if im wrong someone. now they came from the same series, so would that mean that legally the max diamatre would be 9"? for any car of that series, including mine. just looking for some answers, and if anyone out there has actaully fitted wide rims to their non-turbos, let me know. it should save me a bit of trouble in the long term. cheers

  5. your refering to the AAC valve right? controls idle...id suggest you take the whole thing off and clean it properly and put it back on.
  6. thats not cool man kudos go out to you and hope you happen upon a nice replacement RIP. (pity you couldnt keep it and sell it off for parts, i know id have a few requests )
  7. its a problem with the entire board. happened when the host changed..apparently its being worked on? i want my IP gallery back!
  8. before i bought my car i had this exact problem. my box is the standard R33 GTSt25 box (not sure if they carried it over from the 32?) yes it did have syncro in first. yes it was rooted. dealers solution was to through a spare gearbox in. what you get from buying with a dealer so from that id say your syncros f**ked. your choice on what you should do about it. /2c
  9. willing to make a little bit out of this? thats supurb what youv achieved there! im really impressed.. how much did it cost to re-fab? and how much do i have to pay you to redo mine? done well
  10. pull the cam cover off and see if the bulge is covering something
  11. has already been covered in the past couple of months http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/This-t227356.html scam. nuff said
  12. try to find a RB25DE R32. there should be a few around. more common these days with the new laws and such. plus the extra .5 ltr capacity will be awesome
  13. thats the exact kit i was on about....whatd you make it out of and yes, does it have an additional inlet?
  14. youd be better off to have a non-seethru airbox imo, if youv got a pod in it. that way police wont think your car is as modded as it may be. sleeper styles the best as stock looking as possible is deff the way imo, for a street car.
  15. sorry to hijack this thread... just got a resonator installed on my exhaust system yesterday to reduce the noise. (down to 88db now ) i had my doubts but after hearing it it was actually worth the money, a much cleaner note now imo, and its legal but one thing im not sure about, will it have reduced my power at all? i know that generally, the more mufflers etc you have on your exhaust, the more limiting it is...as it stands i have stock exhaust with the new resonator and a muffler, and a blitz exhaust tip that gives the throaty roar . eventually id probly wanna upgrade to a completely fresh system anyway, but for now this should suffice me...just wondering about it is all. cheers
  16. getting my tax return soon, so puting the word out to give my line some new shoes looking for silver, gold, black, met grey colour snowflake style or 5/6spoke with the following dimensions: 17x8 with +32 offset or around abouts. will go to 18x8 or 7.5, not expecting any hits on these tho with tires, if theyre in decent enough nic PM me or post here if you can help and yes iv exhausted the many online stores and yahoo auctions. i just want a simple transaction, preferably with a forum member. make me an offer! cheers
  17. pretty soon you wont be able to see your headlights lol. didnt know you could get lower eyelids...
  18. yup! could it be my belts were changed before the 100,000k service, or has my odo been wound back...
  19. will the sticker have something written on it to indicate its been changed? or have to have something to be marked off? cos mine has it, but my odo is only at 88xxxkms
  20. fyi its an R32 GTR in your avatar lol R32s are hardly worth a look in this day and age imo...a bit long in the tooth as people have said. nothing wrong with the series 1 or 2 R33s, S2 would be a tad more efficient etc and better condish i own a series 1 R33 from 94. general bit of advice is - if you can find a cheapish car from a dealer thats known to be reliable, get it from there. anything thats been preowned in aus has most likely been tricked and modded. mine came from a dealer, with a 3yr warrnaty on it, so im sorta covered well there, full detail and service etc... dead stock is the only way to go, speshly on red Ps..no offence to any members on here who wanna sell their cars, imo if you have an account on here you love your car, so i wouldnt have a prob with buying off here if i were to do it all over again (might when i decide to get a GTS-T ) also, series 1.5 had series 2 engine, worth a look
