hey umm.. i don't know alot about gearboxes but I've seen some gearset for sale are these just different ratio gears or is it strengthened and the shafts aswell.. its a 4wd rb25det box outa a r33 and yeah just needa know about the gearsets and if there ot strengthed anyone know where/how to to get any ..target power is 800-1000hp and I highly doubt that box would handle that.. so if anyone knows much about this stuff would be great if you could help

Well ok i didn't really really know how to make a good title... anyway I'm working on my rb30dett r32 drag car and need some information about a gearbox.. the box i got my mind on is the r33 rb25det 4wd gearbox (manual).. 1st was just wondering about it fitting but also.. I can't say I know much about gearboxes now I've seen gearsets and that for sale and was wondering if I could use them.. if anyone here has used them in the box and exactly what ones to use.. I've done a bit of searching around hmm found a little bit of info but not exactly what I'm looking for. The cars power level we are aiming for is 800-1000hp.. so thats why I come here to ask because i doubt the stock r33 rb25det 4wd will be able to handle this.. Thanks in advance.

ahh thanks titan im very well experienced with engines ect but forced induction is a hole new thing to me that ive never had to deal with

hmm i was also intrested in this because i don't know alot about turbos and wastegates except for the basics .. so.. say you have a 14psi spring can you run at 20psi using a boost controller.. because ive been looking around and the max spring i could find was 22psi what if you wanted to run 30 psi.. thanks

thanks .. good to hear thats nice n high.. also while im here any recomendations on pistons basicly got my mind set on some cp pistons .5mm oversize with 9:0:1 compression ratio.. coz the only other option was 8:2:1 but recently found ones that are 1mm oversize with 8:5:1 now id like to stay with my first pick but any knowledge or advice would be great.. thanks

hmm was just wondering how much hp a standard rb30 crank could handle, I know there nitred as standard and that but has anyone used the standard crank in a big hp rb30.. i dont really wana hear much about other mods coz everything in the block and head is going to be replaced with quality parts that can handle the hp.. but anyway the question could the crank handle around 800-1000hp at the wheels .. btw its a drag car

well hks has a twin turbo kit of two 2835s that are 380-410ps each most likely that culd also be 2835r but more likely jst the 2835 coz there sold as a kit check the hks site

well yes i have searched the forums.. the main thing i want to know is rb26 or 26/30 what is more powerful and these questions are sort of sorting out the pros and cons along with what I've been reading. Theres plenty of powerful 26's but I have not yet seen a highly modded 25/30 26/30 and before i start spending big money i just want to know when im done at the end of the day ..what will be able to put out the most power
