  1. yeah just leave your SA 'P' and number plates and tell them you travel from state to state and not a permanent VIC resident meaning your not familiar with VIC P plate rules. Just drive normaly and no showing off you be alright, but if thats your bright orange car in your avatar then you will be attracting some attention.
  2. LOL! Oh yeah Marta! Nah I didn't goto Whitechapel didn't know it was on. But I will see ya at ABRB and The Red Shore!!!
  3. Use you South Australian P's Licence till your 21 then change it over to a Victorian licence. If you get pulled up and licence check done, just say you live in SA and over here in VIC for a holiday. As for the Skyline scene in VIC, I'd say its good, try to get involved with the meet up and events and you will meet a lot of new ppl.
  4. i always thought it was the other way round, smaller exhausts on turbos otherwise the turbo would lag....hmmm. Nah buddy, bigger the better for turbocharge cars. 3"or 3.5". so in theory, my old exhaust, with its one really weird bend, creates more backpressure, therefore is better for my performance now? Whatever brand / made exhaust system you had last time was probley designed for a N/A that was why its was good or suited your car very well. other issue i thought of was heat soak, seeing as it has been 40+degrees the past 3 days down here You don't really have to worry about it so much as you car is N/A. Just make sure you engine oil and radiator fluids are up. If you have an airpod, then you can sheild it off to block out the heat or stick to your stock air box.
  5. Man that was nuts! I was there to see AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK had a chat to the singer at the merch table and bought a t-shirt and my friend bought 1 of each shirt at the table LOL! Then I had a chat with Marta from Bleeding Through after the show and she so nice in real life hehehe!!! And gota few photos with her. Oh yeah 6th Feb 09, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK and The Red Shore are playing. BE THERE!
  6. Drift and Option are good. Usually they are thick mags with a tonne of perfromance cars and parts. Anything with the R35 GTR in it atm is also good.
  7. If your car is N/A, I would not go anything larger than 2.25" (2 1/4) and thats for the In-pipe. Your muffler out let can be 4.5" or however big you want it but as long as the In-pipe is 2.25" you should be fine.
  8. Like some have said on here, take it to you mechanic to inspect it. They can find out whats suspension and springs you have. Untill you find out what you have got, all I can suggest is change the suspension back to stock (Which you will probley have to find at a wrecker or in the For Sale Section of SAU). Price on the suspension all depends on the seller but I can garentee you it will be cheaper then going to a Nissan dealer. Or just change you springs to a softer set, which will be cheaper, but either way you will need to take it to your mechanic to get it done and get s quote from them, unless you wanna do it yourself... LMAO! Ah yeah that F'ing A'hole Bahahahhahha!!! +1
  9. do you rate the this car? It's a GTR but needs another turbo and an extra 600cc. Haha! any major faults? The car is over 15 years old, things will need replacing sooner or later, its just cheaper then a GTR. But if you treat it right and do your services when you are suppost to then it can take you a long way. easy to drive? (smoov or ruff ride) All depending on you Drivetrain Setup = Clutch, suspension, springs, strut and sway bars, floor brace... If its stock it be smooth, if your after some performance, things can get rough. ease to mod, upgrades? power? Exhaust, panel / pod filter or front mount intercooler, dyno tune if needed. All easy and just get them installed propley by your mechanic. Price range? CHEAP! and yes i am a newbie and will use the search button from now on Welcome! BTW, there are 2 types of GTS-4's. GTS-4 - 2.0 L RB20DET turbo I6, 212 hp (158 kW, 263 N m) GTS-4 - 2.6 L RB26DE I6, 225 hp (169 kW, Autech Version - auto only) But I would say you most prbley be going for the 2lt turbo then the 2.6lt N/A as I don't think many N/As came to AUS + it being an Autech Version, Autech tune Nissan cars but sell it through the Nissan dealer in Japan and are quite rare. A 'Factory Customised' car.
  10. 3000 + rpm is a usual gear change, depending if going up or down hill or flat surface. Entering a Freeway, I usually give it a boot to about 5000-5500-6000 rpm.
  11. To me the Crystalite Tint looks like just another cosmetic styling like when ppl put clear, LED or black tinted tail lights. I say leave the headlights as it is, unless it allows your headlights to be brighter, if not its just a screen protector for you lenses. But if its your car and you want to tint it then go ahead we can't stop you.
  12. Yeah you can install water jet nozzles to spray your intercooler when the car hits boost. You probley be topping up the water bottle a lot more often thats all. But its the best you can do to give it some heat soak and get cooler air into your inlet plenum.
  13. OMG that looks mad! Too bad about black tho how you lose the styling curves in some pics. The Lip on those Volk TE37 style rims look sweet too.
  14. Some hardcore manifolds you got there. Performance will increase for sure.
  15. Ppl on the Committee seem to be doing a good job at the moment, can't say anything bad. But if new ppl come into power they better hold up the standards to what the former memebers did.
  16. The Need For Speeds are still a favourite for me. NFS Carbon is tops for me, the drifting is insane and down hill races keep you on the edge of your seat. Gran Turismo 3, 4 and 5 are always good, no complains there and thats is for me with Racing games.
  17. You will expect hight temps when it is 40+ degrees C, its normal. Just take it easy.
  18. I do notice that somehow the R34 GTR's have very good cooling. I took Tim GTR's R34 GTR out on night and gave it abit of stick and I check the MFD and the oil temp only went up a few degrees and water temp hardly moved. Guess its ok to give it a little, as the car has to pick up, take off whatever, just don't full boost it and change gears at the redline LOL!
  19. Either jack the car up or take the wheel off and see if you got aftermarket suspension / springs and should answer your question to why your ride is bumpy. Also if you have lower profile tyres then before, it will add the the roughness...
  20. LOL! Adzmax, me and a friend was just having a joke about Bayswater as she use to live out there (I think) or had friends there. Was just saying its all Caucasian ppl live out there as opposed to Springvale with all Asians.
  21. ^^Yeah all good then if the tyre place got it out for you. In future, I use a wheel brace to tighen up the nuts and all done by hand. This happen to me before when a tyre place replaced my tyres for my Lancer. The rattle gun cracked the bolt then over time water got in and rusted the bolt, went to get the bolt out, it rounded. Now its all by hand or take it to my mechanic who does it all by hand.
  22. Hammer and chisel it out. Or what Duncan said "a good workshop can weld a good nut on and unbolt it". Your mechanic could help you out there. BTW how did you round off the nut? Did you use a rattle gun and blasted it in?
  23. Mobil is good too! Mobil Synergy 8000 98 RON. I use it if BP is not around then swtich back to BP.
  24. Would look cool with some flared gaurds and wide wheel / tyres.
