  1. It's all about the rice, mang!
  2. You're on punk. First I'm going to disgrace your small, inconsequential puff cloud of a burnout, then I'm going to proceed to smash you to the line, even after letting you tree me. haha but your post is spot on.
  3. I'll be happy just to do a massive burnout. More interested in having some SAU grudge matches, although right now out of the Skylines I think Pete's on top of the list.
  4. Since there's been no mention or reference to Buster's Drag Day on the forums I thought I'd stir the pot... Do you think John's 300Z is going to do his proclaimed "easy 11's"? And what will pop on the motor? Will Adrian have enough nitrous/clutch for the day? Can Pete "Da Man" live for more than an hour without snapping boxes + driveshafts? Will "Dirt Garage" be going after the low mount record? Can Bu5ter pull off 128MPH in the Falcon wagon? Place your bets!
  5. Not only that, but any R33 parts are free! Just bring some tools down and take the parts off any 4 door R33 car you see there. I'll be there @ 2pm ish, gotta get me some bargain indicators. Ooh and some turbo kit.
  6. I heard there was a party down at F & E today? Anyone want to shed some light on this?
  7. 4door just stirring shit.... as usual.
  8. I doubt it, it's a very professional place and they frown upon socialising there.
  9. Turn off the boost control kit, it's enabled by default and will cause the engine light to come on if it's not connected.
  10. Yeah but it's about the appropriate part for the application. You can't honestly say that clutch is going to be the best clutch for every purpose? Is so I want one, as long as it's adjustable, can hold 1200hp, and has a chev input spline
  11. Pistons are a recommended upgrade as the cylinder pressures and temperatures at higher power levels are beyond what the standard cast pistons can handle, they melt/crack/call it quits as soon as the going gets tough. Headgaskets are normally changed to reduce compression without changing pistons, also since the headgasket resides in the combustion chambers it's one of the first parts in line to cop the increased pressures from higher outputs and detonation. The aftermarket multi-layer metal gaskets are pretty strong, best thing is you can resuse them after cleaning.. provided they aren't damaged. Static compression is a basic mathematical equation of swept volume + combustion size / combustion size. Dynamic compression takes into account camshafts bleeding out pressure due to overlap + increased duration. Also note that in the higher RPMs when there is less physical time for the valvetrain events to happen combustion chamber filling is greater with the larger camshafts, and so you're going to get higher combustion pressures than smaller camshafts. You really need to take into account head flow stats, as well as manifolds (in + exh) as well as turbine backpressure to accurately calculate cylinder filling, otherwise just suck it and see.
  12. Cams + headgasket would be my bet if the engine is in good condition. If you've got those you're laughing
  13. I'm after the accelerator cable + pedal. Let me know if you've got them.
  14. The fastest "street" car on drag radials is a twin turbo'd 7 liter 89 Camaro.. on a 295 sized tyre it did 7.66 @ 186 MPH. There's been alot of development on drag radials in the last few years, M+H have a new range out that is meant to be the same compound rubber as the drag slick. The lineup goes from Nitto (hardest), BFG, M/T then M+H (softest). The MSP supra was on BF's since they sponsor the import series there, the Camaro was on M/T tyres..
  15. Yeah, but the problem is that they are over in Japan. Add on: Japanese buyer fees Domestic Japan shipping Japanese packing charges Then depending on if it's air freighted or land Quarantine and inspection Actual shipping charges Then it's landed here... Local customs agent to clear Quarantine Customs and taxation charges Local delivery Quite quickly that "cheap" part becomes a nightmare, then add on the fact that the motor is actually blown and has a rod hanging out the side of it (don't laugh, have gotten a few like that) so all you can do is suck it and try to salvage something out of it...
  16. Cams are brand new, T25 flanges are on the 2835R's.
  17. Which injectors? Yes I am in Sydney. Oh and PM me your email address, or email me it.
  18. Are you sure they are the Drag version, the Drag springs are pretty soft. The rebound/bump rates are also the oppostie of a circuit/road shock. HKS Drag shocks are also adjustable. Also do they have the height adjustment on them? You can get a new set of springs made up to suit Aust conditions, all the track orientated Jap coilovers have extremely stiff springs in them.
  19. Nice work! Pretty damn quick for a "budget" car, and congrats on doing the majority of the work yourself. So what sort of a GT-R is that? p.s. Got a pretty dyno chart for us to drool at?
  20. Two GT-R Trust gearboxes - $10,000 One has been rebuilt to new specs with billet selector forks + center plates, the other is apart. RB26 twin highmount manifold - $1200 HKS BCNR-33 Drag Shocks - $1500 Brand new still in factory packaging. The R33 shocks have been discontined for a few years, pretty damn hard to find.
  21. AP 6 pot calipers - $2000 HKS 2835R internal gated turbo - $1800 280 deg/ 11.5mm Apexi RB26 cams - $1000 SR20 turbo kit - HKS 2835R turbo, new s/s manifold + dump pipe - $2200 R33 2 door Ganodor mirrors - $500 RB26 cam covers - $300 Polished cam covers - $500 ATS 2 way diff - $1200 HKS 4 way shocks - R33 GT-R - $2000 Q45 air flow meter - $300 RB26 550cc injectors + std rail - $600 RB26 950cc injectors + rail - $900 HKS Twin Power system - $800 Splitfire coils - $650 RB26 Grex valve springs - $350 Std rebuilt RB26 long motor - $5000 Email address is cbaloglow(@)netspace.net.au . Most parts are new, pm or email for pics/more info.
  22. I'll buy both headlights - PM me account details.
  23. 387rwkw from an Apexi AX53B70 is pretty good going, considering they rate the turbo at 380ps...
  24. They are the national distributor for a massive amount of brands and parts. I would place money on every "performance" workshop dealing with them at least once in their lifetime, alot of places get over 60% of their parts from Rocket. As with any large company, of course they are going to have bad stories. Anyone ever heard that KFC chicken story about a chicken cyst?
