Wtb R34 Gtr - Anyone Seen This Gtr ?
GTR_JOEY replied to cesar34's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I agree with wongy, it's a big stretch though -
Here I was reading the thread thinking SydneyKid had made an sau comeback.. 9 year old thread
-
That and it's more expansive and harder to get then the Morris tech ignitor Paul's making 480rwkw with no more then spitfires and a Morris tec ignitor.. I'd be right in assuming that the plugs are copper, heat range 8 gapped at .8 (I may have put the last set in?) This business of reducing the gap of the plug down to nothing and reducing spark size is a bandaid fix and simply ridiculous

Sooooo a back to back comparison of ceramic vs non ceramic would be sweet -
Bosch Id 1000 Part No For R34 Gtt - Upgrade Time
GTR_JOEY replied to Nismo34R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
SighWhy the wouldn't you just get the id 1000s when they are nearly twice the size of those ones (room for power in the future) AND I know for a fact that a company like UNIGROUP will source and fit GENUINE ones for $1100 if your incapable of doing it yourself -
Yea that too
-
Well if I was limited on coin I'd be saving for a decent ECU and not paying for 2 seperate tunes
-
Just because there's cars making big power on a particular ECU doesn't mean it's a good ECU. Talk to/find a tuner and ask him what he thinks
-
Man you gotta go in and see them, they deal with bulk time wasters so at times they may be too busy to reply or call back. If you see them face to face the they know your serious. Even after all this time I always going in and have a chat to the boys if I need stuff done They should still be there when you finish work and if you can't get Yavuz make sure you get a hold of Mark

Cool thanks for clearing that up for me GTSboy, Abdul did say that everything will need to be extensively cleaned before its coated so I will ask him to pay particular attention to the exhaust housing -

Also I'm assuming its ok to ceramic coat the inside of the turbine housing? -

GTR_JOEY replied to R32 TT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks lads, I took it down to see Abdul from flamed coatings... seems like a really genuine guy so im gonna go ahead and use him. Going to get the gate pipes done as well, as discussed I don't think it will make much of the way in performance gains but im really only trying to stop the radiating heat. Sucram im just doing up to the cat for the moment, then once its running again ill get the rest of the system done. Im also getting the gate itself done (not the diapgram part) but the part where the gasses flow, once again to reduce radiating heat. cheers for the help -

Definitely getting the feeling you don't like stainless haha The manifold is a full race steam pipe manifold so that should be ok to coat along with the turbine housing I'm gonna give the guy would built the gate pipes and dump pipe a call and see what he reckons though i shouldn't have any dramas coating them as they won't see the same temps as the manifold Am I right in saying that?? -

GTR_JOEY replied to R32 TT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Picking the engine up soon The dump and pipes are stainless, am I missing something here?? Should I not do them? That's mad, you will have to tell me how you go.. If love to do that hill climb eventually -

GTR_JOEY replied to R32 TT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Gave them a bell Mark, they quoted me around $500 for 1.5m of 4 inch dump, exhaust Manifold and turbine housing..seems fair That's without doing the gate pipes, I don't think there's any real gains to be had by doing the gate pipes as I don't think there will be any sort of restriction to flow there. Thoughts? -
Ok thanks mate, would be good to see some more results on this turbo going around.. This night spark a bit more interest Here is my thread on my results if you are interested http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/414766-gtr-joeys-r32-gtr-e-flex-twinscroll-8375-results/
-
Do you have any results with the 6262 with your current set up?? Cam gears will make a big difference If you dial them in for response
-
No doubt they are an awesome turbo for the price, I would love to see a back to back against the precision. These things spool like a beast and there's plenty more in that turbo for you if you put the money in the right gear. I've been running mine with the full race twin scroll manifold and made 560rw hp on ethenol with a 2.6. Made 500rwhp at 5500rpm I've since upgraded the cams and valve train, cleaned up the head, raised compression, stroked to a 2.9 and ceramic coated the exhaust side .. Results should be up within the month Old graph.. Rubbish photo but its 98 premium vs E85 Note the car made no more power past 50/50 ethenol/98

Is it missing when hot? use copper plugs at 8 heat range from memory, Check coils, make sure your alternator is pumping out decent amperage, flog hks twin spark off and buy Morris tech igniter
