  1. happy to pay 150 for the coil packs if u r interested? how many km on them?
  2. +1 for a protest, but lets grab a pizza before hand and make it a social event! lol
  3. haha man i was gonna say u have to be an arab to say that kind of an insult lol seriously though guys stop with the personal attacks, differences of opions- thats it! both ppl are right to a degree but base the arguments on facts and not on personal insult.
  4. Looks like the government are taking a reactive approach again! I still don’t understand why they don’t to something to be proactive. All stake boarders have stake parks have fun in, after the government realised that they need to take some sort of action. Yet motoring enthusiast have nothing provided by the government. Clearly there is a high demand for some public area where cars can be driven in a control environment. This is an initiative that could be leveraged from overseas, where it has been proven to be successful. I do the right thing and go to the track for 300 bucks a day and don’t thump my car on the streets now days. Its pretty expense and if it was free or heavily subsidised (even I find it expensive!) I’m sure many people would go for a free quarter mile run and worry about been caught by police officers and loosing their licence. There are “those types” that will still continue to be w*&nkers on the roads but I’m sure that majority of people will be wise enough to do it at the tracks. Like guy from Mill Park was drunk, 6ppl in the car, so this clearly would not help him. Not sure what would really! He crushed his own car, so maybe this law should be introduced but don't take it over the top!
  5. Hoon war has broken out in state political ranks with the government announcing it will move to crush unroadworthy or dangerous cars if hoon drivers are caught on a third offence. Earlier today, the opposition announced if it was elected in November it would crush hoons' cars after three offences, and would increase the impoundment penalty for a first offence from two days to 30 days. The Brumby Government's full anti-hoon policy will be released later this year, but Transport Accident Commission Minister Tim Holding said some cars would be crushed. "Our Government will implement a new regime for repeat hoon driving offenders, which will result in repeat hoon offenders having their cars confiscated to be sold or crushed," Mr Holding said. Earlier this week, Premier John Brumby said he would seek advice on road safety issues and said everything was on the table – including crushing cars. It is unclear whether that advice has been received. Eighteen months ago Police Minister Bob Cameron said the idea of crushing cars was "irresponsible" and populist. Mr Holding said cars could be sold to cover debts if a driver was driving someone else's car, and remaining proceeds would go towards road safety. Only the most dangerous or unroadworthy cars would be crushed to send a message. The government will also look at increasing the impoundment penalty for a first offence from two days to seven days. Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu said it was time to crack down on hoons who put people's lives at risk. "Victorians need a strong zero tolerance approach to hoon driving," Mr Baillieu said. "This means tough laws which increase impoundment times, force hoon drivers to take safe driving training, and forfeit and crush vehicles of the worst repeat offenders." The Opposition's police would introduce new anti-hoon laws, including: - A 30-day impoundment for a first hoon offence, and requirement that a safe driving course is completed by offenders; - Up to three months impoundment for a second offence; - Crushing of vehicles for a third offence after parts are stripped and sold. Mr Baillieu said the money raised from selling car parts would help the program run as cost neutral, with any excess money put into the TAC and Police budgets. He said the tougher laws would act in a similar way to current anti-hoon measures where police can apply to courts to have vehicles confiscated. Mr Baillieu said a key part of the program would be driver re-education.
  6. lol this thread is getting out of control hahah ppl its friday and long weekend coming up, relax! V-spec u got a point though, u can get an old car that is not a death trap
  7. guys sami has a point, there are bludger that sit on the dole and choose to have "worse" cars( not a fan either and piss me off big time), others are forced into situations (eg. immigrations, GFC lose of job, parents passing away etc) While i would report a driver that is blind drunk (which i have previously) or someone that is SERIOUS danger to others, i don't think it my job to start reporting P-plater/ students/ less fortunate who are just trying to make some cash, driving to work. Once i finished school (yr12) i bought a Sh*t box and work 30min away from home, starting at 6am. What public transport service can i catch?? anyone? After the 4 months, just before uni started i managed to put aside a packet and bought another car. Everyone has to start somewhere! so i reckon that everyone needs to relax a bit on here and put yourself in someone elses shoe's for a sec and think. Not really right to judge a book by its cover, but 9 out of 10 times u can tell wat sort of person the driver is just by looking at time; part of the centerlink race team lol or someone that is trying to "work' out of a tough situation.
  8. I would have to agree, he is pretty tough though! He just knows his stuff and you can't trick him. i'm sure he is getting a good laugh out of this tread for sure
  9. Mate completely agreed 100%! and i'm sure that he will realise, personally if i was that keen on rims i would shop around and for 500-800 you can get some second hand ones with decent meat, otherwise the rims are worth more than the car. and if you gonna spend 4k on rims u can just my a N/A r32 maybe even an r33. Anyways welcome to the club buddy and don't spend all your cash on the rims Take the advise
  10. cut the guy some slack it's probably his first car or something and excited to have it!
  11. lol I
  12. plus one, had it been a speed gun, different story
  13. PIOTREK

    Re55s

Donallens in box hill is generally cheap (and they to a terrific job), actually they stuff one of my mates rims up and they ended up paying all the repair bill etc. I have done business with them in the past, never an issue
  14. nar come on guys he is only human, i think its funny how the media makes a big deal. Only thing that i find funny is that "speeding = hitting a tree" hence i think the guy is a tool.
  15. Yer i read that and i was thinking the same. What happens if its 20 km over u fly off a cliff lolz to this bad
  16. Just confirmed its a red bottle, mother plastic polish $22. in 10min the head light looks good as new, personally i wouldn't touch the stand paper ever
  17. could be the coil pack, lead or crank angle sensor. also clean the air/flo sensore
  18. PM sent for the boost controller
  19. mate for 22 bucks i bought this red bottle (mother i think) and its actually a plastic polish. works really well- looks brand new
  20. dude i would probably got the E46 although r34 is really tempting, saw a supercharged E46 fly the other night I think it comes down to if you want the "classy" or "race jap" look. Advantage of an e46 is that cops are attracted to them like a skyline. personally i like the e36 just cause its cheaper but it just looks a bit to old and there are to many 318 and 325 mock ups that makes the M3 not as appealing.
  21. under power to wight restrictions that is fine, but under the new p-plater laws u can't cause its V8. under fuel consumption u can't either cause its too much
  22. PIOTREK

    Help Pls

i agree, for that matter every cop can pick a BOV not just the TMU. U might be able to get away with the screamer pipe though.
  23. PIOTREK

    Help Pls

dude i would read the post here in the sticky, a bov will set u back 300 bucks and your car will be miss firing all the time. 2 weeks later u will take it off. the screamer pipe will come off with 4 weeks also. and if u don't take it off, the epa inspection will. A GOOD mushroom pod is 100 bucks and legal, sounds good also gotta be careful cause u may get an epa and major defect, not really worth it. Trust me i went through it recently, a pod is the way to go (HKS)
  24. Mate to be honest he is pretty tough on the imports but they are mostly pretty legimate issue, only problem that is really by the books and at times its excessive for the age of the car. Most imports are in much better rwc condition then commodore of the same age. Recently my mate got pulled over and he said u are not a WANK#R so here is just an epa, take the BOV and thats it. He called him an car fanatic, only problem is when you actually get a defect cause its call cash and a pain. Although i'd rather not get pulled over and stay away from KNOX lol
  25. yer i got done there about 2 weeks ago, Knox is messed up
