My mate has a TO4r on his 2L, its in a lighter car also, so prob more lag from that, its full boost by about 4000-4500rpm, starts making boost atm by about 2500rpm. So really it shouldnt be too bad, just the set up of everything has to be good.

I wasnt really having a go. Just for what I want, and bang for buck, rb3Xdet is probably the best option (and I have a cefiro.. so extra weight there ) Its good to read up on different peoples oppinions and expericencs tho. Id still like to see what I can get out of the RB20. I just still need to do some research, as I dont want to have to buy two sets of turbos, two sets of this, two sets of that, just to do both engines.

Remembering back to when I first got my car, all my mates were giving me stick about it being either a camry, or more so a taxi, as thats what they thought cefiros were. After a quick search, I found only one picture as evidence that they once were used as taxis (same site I found an evo3 taxi...) and that was in Arabia or somewhere anyway. So basically, does anyone have any other proof that they were once taxis???

After reading this, I dont even want to waste money even fixing anything on my RB20! As I say, try and learn from others mistakes, its cheaper. (not trying to sound mean or anything)

In a race application maybe so, because your not stopping. But out of interest, what about say normal city driving, stop start etc? Would it not have more potential to heat up then? Or is this a problem anyway as the pipes themselfs heat up? I dont know, hence asking the question.

I doubt its cut out. Mine has the that same grill. I guess just the different options. And also I've also got the new rear lights. And the clear front ones.

I was seriously surpised at just how nice it is to drive hey. Everyone I know who has driven one has said the same thing, loveliest car to drive. And I've had mine for 10months now, still cant get enough!

Hahaha, a circular saw blade would work better but Anyway, I got my gauges pinched, and my turbo timer, not fun hey, $700 gone walk abouts. But then I found out I had a cd stacker, 2way diff, bigger fuel pump, etc etc! So I was happy! Hell, after 4months I had my car, you cant not be happy! Just enjoy it hey man.

I got a 14.56 @ 98mph, or there abouts. That was with the old tyres that were on the car from japan, and wheel spin city. But my advice would be let the tyre pressure down. Another mate gained about 0.5sec from pretty much tyre pressure alone. Even if you dont get a good run, look at the mph, its a better indicator.

So its a V8 right??? Big twin exausts must be! Maybe Speed Mag WAS right after all!

I've seen heaps hey... And Im in QLD, 4 RB26 ones... Work pretty hard RB20 one, Big wide body one/flared guards one, Squizzes old blue one, fair few stockers, few others...

Hmmm, interesting. I wouldnt mind a aftermarket bar, but I really really like the old turning lights, good fun to trip people out.

I ornginally asked this question when the laws came in. From what I could find out there was a clause in the laws stating that no 'landmark desisions' could be used. So if this is true, put bluntly no. But HA HA! I think I was out that nite with Erin and James too, at least one of them when the Astra was out, rather ammusing. As soon as it was spotted "hey, thats that new astra cop car" "oh is it the turbo one? or just the normal one?" "hey, hawian shirts! must be cops!" They are so bloody thick I sware. I want to sue them for wasting police time.
