So out of interest, what is the techically term for that? Nothing?
-
But as he mentioned he didnt want it for power, but for convenience. Such as getting to coil packs would be easier, less messy cooler piping etc. But the inconvenience to do this would out weigh the later on convenience. *note, Dave-o's dictonary was used in the spelling of some words, in particular convenience.

the basics of mods on the cefiro
dangerous_daveo replied to kursed's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
In regards to the pod thing. The dyno really isnt the place to check if that works or not, because your not getting the flow of air you would/could get on the street. -
LoL, other than the sleep thing and all Good to hear it was only a loose wire tho. I think, does that mean your not stripping it anymore?

I constantly get what is it! (as does everyone) Now this is people asking me what it is after they have had a GOOD look around the car including badges etc. VN commodore but not... (duhh?) New Bluebird New School Torry (after they read cefiro and nissan...) Camary Cosmo (nah dude, cosmos are 2 doors... and dont make rb20 noises) Most common thing its mistaken for A ford (this was on the highway over the UHFs someone then corrected them and said it was a CefirA! I quickly corrected them then...) its been called a WHAT THE F&^K IS THAT!!! a few times too. Skyline, siliva, datto 200b I think was said once If only most people could read the badges!

Dude the only reason Im having a go is you think you were in the right, when your not! Anyway, moving on... You know where you have a set of lights, and the turn right lane, and the straight lane. And if the person is turning you go in to the left lane so you dont have to wait. Welllll today the person in front of me didnt put their indicators on, so Im like yeah, cool, I'll stay in this lane, then lights go green, flicks on the indicator! BARSTARD!!! -
I'll come say hi. But I'll prob go home if you guys go for a drive, Im likely to fall asleep and write someone off.

A31 Tie Rod Ends - Same as R32 or S13?

Hahahahaha! I didnt find that funny until you quoted it! HAHAH! Classic, made my day! -
Just cars I cant really recomend after reading their fine print. (ie, my car they had their 'value' set at a maxium of $10 000, so after you take out premium, excess, etcetc, that 10k is almost gone. If I were to replace my car to how it is now almost identically, it would probably cost upwards of $20k) But being over 25 you shouldnt have things as bad. However still check out the maxium value.

Still the point remains, its not legal, its a one lane round-a-bout. You would have been the one to cop it if you two colided, even tho she was indicating incorrectly. Just pointing it out hey dude. Really even with two lane round-a-bouts they arent all the same. Everyone should be reading the arrows that go with that round-a-bout, not just assuming they are all alike. -
Maybe not so much R33-R33, but you would think R34-R33 would be a tad different, and I would think R34-R32 would be a fair bit different again.

Ok, 1st thing no offence intended... But you DO NOT over take on a single lane round-a-bout that is illegal, and somewhat dangerous, now Im not saying she was in the right, she was indercating that she was going to turn off so it should have been ok but its not overly defencive driving, is it. Other wacked thing, what a numbnuts lady! You could have been an axe murderer for all she knew! Pulling over could have put her and her kids in more danger! (I might have miss read the post, but I was under the impression that it was a single lane roundabout, I dont know the area) -
I feel so left out

Ok strange question here then. (just trying to learn, not really having a go at anyone) 1st thing, I dont know of that many big turboed cars that make much boost in 1st (most of the bigger turbo cars I know of tho are light cars, and dont really produce much load in 1st) So 1st to 2nd shift I'll ignore for my question, also I dont think 1st would be used in track racing enough to worry about it. So my question being, if you change gears at say 7000rpm, and as pointed out the revs drop to say 4000rpm, wouldnt the turbo still be spinning like the blazers? so effectivly once its spinning your emininating a lot of the turbo lag? Obviously a good set up would be needed for this but yeah. And now just something I have noticed on a mates car, and I really dont think you have a good set up if your boost is coming on at 5000rpm, or its a VERY big turbo. But yeah, he runs a T04r, custom manifold, dump exaust etc, 45mm wastegate, no AFM etc, the engine is a 2L (1ggte) and is internally STOCK, no cams no nothing, he has a small hole in the manifold somewhere, and a manifold gasket is going, its running haltech, etc, and weights in around the 1000kg mark. Now this car starts making boost with this set up at about 2700rpm, and full boost (25ish psi) at say 4000rpm (might be 3700rpm or so). Now as much as its a smaller turbo than what we are talking about, its also a smaller engine, and a much lighter car (ie less load). So yeah, my point is, how is it going to be a big problem if its set up correctly? (and he can still set it up better for less lag, smaller cooler, shorter wastegate piping, have the manifold designed differently so it 'pulses' more) My thoughts anyway.

Eliminating bump steer?
dangerous_daveo replied to Greg's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ahh ok. It is due for a wheel alinment, and Im thinking I need more camber anyway, outsides of the tyres are wearing, and it sometimes scrubs. -

Neg camber is where the wheels are like / that (very exagerated). out of interest tho, I get tram lining, tracking or whatever you call it heaps, and Im only running 1* neg camber on the front. However Im running a fair bit of toe out for the street, could this have the same effect? -

I know very well what sound an external gate makes And where did I say that the wastegate flutters? I was simply making the suggestion it wasnt the BOV. -
