  1. Point taken Blitz... we need to do a final head count, and I wanna touch base with all parties before the 7th. This just in: I won't be arrive at JR Tokyo until 9:30am. From memory, it takes about 30-40 odd minutes to get out to Makuhari? I could be late for the 10am rendezvous....!
  2. Ah yes, the Top Secret V35... cheers Dave.
  3. That S16 Silvia you're talking about was some guys photochop of a V35 and a Primera put together... don't worry, thats not the next Silvia.
  4. Thats because the V35 isn't an evolution of the R3x line... (said that before somewhere) Thats why it's "V"35... not "R"... Give it time, you'll get used to it!
  5. Wow man, thats just like the total opposite of what I've been told. My (Japanese) friends think that Nissan is now fresh, and the new approach is more European, and dare they say, more mature, than Nissan pre-1999. They give it the thumbs up... but they miss the Skyline turbo and Silvia obviously. Oh, and the Nissan turbo isn't dead, the Nissan X-Trail 2.0GT has an SR20VET. I know, it's not a sports car, but there is still hope for other turbo'd models.
  6. It'd look ...eer... alright on a 2-door R31...
  7. No probs Geoff, that'd be good if you can scan that article. Theres alot of misinformation floating about with the turbo/no turbo, "oh my god Nissans gone NA!" and all the other rumours and things. Keep in mind that magazines print sensational stuff to sell more copies... and that happens here in Japan aswell. But I think the difference between Japanese and English Language Car magazines is that Japanese motoring journalists will without a doubt get more accurate info that a foreign (western) journalist. I don't care how many times an Aussie/Brit/American car mag journalist has been to Japan. So I tend to dismiss anything that comes out about Japanese Car industry gossip in English language Car mags, unless they print direct quotes from whatever Japanese person it was that they were talking to. Case in point: I was handled very carefully (read: treated with a little contemp) by the guys at C-West until I told them I was married to a Japanese girl, then they took me in and gave me the grand tour of the factory, completely changing their tune and even telling me stuff that I wasn't even interested in knowing!!! So, I guess theres an amount of "protectionism" and, dare I say, "indirect rascism" that goes on in the Japanese Car industry as regards information flow, who should know what etc...
  8. Beat me to it again Dave! That 2 weeks vacation you've got must be doing wonders...
  9. Blitz mate, I was going to say that Dave would prolly have a better handle of the Tokyo/Yokohama/Chiba area than what I would... he beat me to it!
  10. Click ...ask and ye shall recieve... A google search could've been executed for that "stealth" kinda way of information aquisition aswell... :werd:
  11. V8skylineMan wins! Give us a PM mate and I'll get your details and send off the goodies...
  12. Who keeps voting for cheese?
  13. Courtesy of MegaGTS4...
  14. Just posted about this in the Zero R thread... Feb '93 - Jan '94 and Feb '94 - Dec '94 R32 GT-Rs had steering wheel airbags as options only.
  15. Yes, steering wheel airbags were an option on Feb '93 - Jan '94 and Feb '94 - Dec '94 R32 GT-Rs...
  16. I think it'll grow on you RedLine... just give it time...
  17. Ah ah ah! You said "R" 35!!!! DAME DAYO!
  18. Eeerm, the only "camera" type thing I know of is an infra-red sensor that detects when the "customer" gets up off the seat, it flushes automatically...
  19. I wouldn't exactly say "no" hotplate lights...
  20. If you mean electronic as in: heated seat, remote control (like... a DVD remote!) bidet, air drying, flush, motorized seat open/close and am/fm radio contrlos... then, yes.
  21. I'm going to purchase a V35 Skyline Coupe in the new year sometime, and I just wanted to know what SAU thought of it? I realize you guys probably haven't seen one in the flesh, let alone drive one, but what do you think of it overall? A step in the right direction? I used to loathe this car, but since I made a few contacts in the car auction industry here (therefore opening up oportunities to seriously consider a V35), I really had good look at them, even having a ride in one yesterday. I didn't drive it myself (but thats cool because it was an AT anyway...) but from the passenger seat I could really see what Nissan are trying to do with the Skyline now... High Performance All-round GT perfection!!! Seriously, the ride, handling, seamless acceleration, and the fit/finish of the car is nothing short of awesome. It felt like a "big" coupe, but not in a bad way like some people say of the R33. The V35 is quality all the way. The guy who was driving took it to redline once or twice, and only stomped on the brakes once, but from that I can only conclude that this car is like the R34s GT-Ts big brother. Seriously. I WANT TO MODIFY ONE.
  22. Well done mate... Thats about all the info thats lying around on this car I think... theres precious little left to post about. I hope SAU members can kinda get the picture on how the Japanese mentality works through a thread like this, ie: The Zero R is gone, so why all the interest? (don't take that the wrong way, from a Jap point of view, thats what they think about Aussies getting interested in old(er)skool 'lines) It's an awesome car obviously, but even with the much bigger population in Japan compared to Australia or even the UK, theres about as many people interested in the Zero R in Japan as there are in Australia... read: bugger all. Sorry guys, it sounds like a negative post, but I just got slightly dissed by my mate Kazuya because he couldn't understand why I was interested in a relic from '91... the R34/V35 is where it's at now!!!
