  1. It says "Sukairain no henshu - HKS ZERO-R('94) no kaisetsu inpuresshyon"... Which means "Explanation of the impression of the Skyline variety "Zero-R". Sorry about the crap translation... I did my best:(
  2. But the Z33 Fairlady Z (350Z) and and the V35 Skyline have sportiness, speed and handling, don't they? I think alot of people (in Aust/NZ at least) pass of the new (Japanese market) cars from Nissan without even seeing them in the flesh. You can only draw so much from a photograph. I disliked the V35 when it first came out, I couldn't make any connection between it, and the R34 it replaced. That was until I thoroghly inspected the V35 and had a ride in one. I think the V35 is a natural progression of the R34... it's hasn't gone soft or whatever... trust me! Add to that the March, Primera, Cima etc (which are all winners in my book), and you'll come to the conclusion that Nissan, although evolving, is far from declining as an exciting car maker.
  3. Ok '04 TAS crew, please list your name (real one...), your e-mail (PC or phone) and *who your travelling with*... Ok, me first... Rezz aka Justin Karow [email protected] or [email protected] Travelling with my wife Kayo, and Troy (aka Evo_Lee) from Performance Forums.
  4. Good idea... Starting a new stickied thread now...
  5. Point taken Blitz... we need to do a final head count, and I wanna touch base with all parties before the 7th. This just in: I won't be arrive at JR Tokyo until 9:30am. From memory, it takes about 30-40 odd minutes to get out to Makuhari? I could be late for the 10am rendezvous....!
  6. Ah yes, the Top Secret V35... cheers Dave.
  7. That S16 Silvia you're talking about was some guys photochop of a V35 and a Primera put together... don't worry, thats not the next Silvia.
  8. Thats because the V35 isn't an evolution of the R3x line... (said that before somewhere) Thats why it's "V"35... not "R"... Give it time, you'll get used to it!
  9. Wow man, thats just like the total opposite of what I've been told. My (Japanese) friends think that Nissan is now fresh, and the new approach is more European, and dare they say, more mature, than Nissan pre-1999. They give it the thumbs up... but they miss the Skyline turbo and Silvia obviously. Oh, and the Nissan turbo isn't dead, the Nissan X-Trail 2.0GT has an SR20VET. I know, it's not a sports car, but there is still hope for other turbo'd models.
  10. It'd look ...eer... alright on a 2-door R31...
  11. No probs Geoff, that'd be good if you can scan that article. Theres alot of misinformation floating about with the turbo/no turbo, "oh my god Nissans gone NA!" and all the other rumours and things. Keep in mind that magazines print sensational stuff to sell more copies... and that happens here in Japan aswell. But I think the difference between Japanese and English Language Car magazines is that Japanese motoring journalists will without a doubt get more accurate info that a foreign (western) journalist. I don't care how many times an Aussie/Brit/American car mag journalist has been to Japan. So I tend to dismiss anything that comes out about Japanese Car industry gossip in English language Car mags, unless they print direct quotes from whatever Japanese person it was that they were talking to. Case in point: I was handled very carefully (read: treated with a little contemp) by the guys at C-West until I told them I was married to a Japanese girl, then they took me in and gave me the grand tour of the factory, completely changing their tune and even telling me stuff that I wasn't even interested in knowing!!! So, I guess theres an amount of "protectionism" and, dare I say, "indirect rascism" that goes on in the Japanese Car industry as regards information flow, who should know what etc...
  12. Beat me to it again Dave! That 2 weeks vacation you've got must be doing wonders...
  13. Blitz mate, I was going to say that Dave would prolly have a better handle of the Tokyo/Yokohama/Chiba area than what I would... he beat me to it!
  14. Click ...ask and ye shall recieve... A google search could've been executed for that "stealth" kinda way of information aquisition aswell... :werd:
