  1. Eh? Who does it look like? I get lots of Japanese girls saying "Brad Pitt/Leonardo DiCaprio/Kevin Bacon/Tom Cruise mixed-o togezzah"...
  2. I... honestly... hope your right.Part of the "breakaway" process from the bad old days of Nissan overspending and over development is designing cars that aren't linked visually with their predecessors. Hence the piss-poor efforts at reproducing the hotplates up until now amongst other things. This of course is all Carlos Ghosns doing, he seems to come up with most of the "sh!t" decisions at Nissan these days... not all of them (well Nissan management decided on Ghosn didn't they???)... but most of them

Which country did you go to? That might have something to do why you came out on top?

    Money Question

Eh? I don't get it... if change your AU$ to US$, your going to get less US$ to buy Yen with, therefore getting the same amount of Yen as you would if you changed directly from AU$ to Yen??? (assuming the exchange rate doesn't change for a few days) In fact you'd be losing on the bank fees because they'll charge you twice for changing the currency twice??? It's ealy in the morning guys be kind if I've got it all wrong... :coffee:
  6. Normally I'd recommend you use the Search function and read a few threads before coming on here and asking an age old question... but I just did a search on your behalf myself and it seems you'd have to go through threads with a fine tooth comb to get any hard info... Anyway, what you'll find is that the biggest (and best) difference between an R32 GTS and GTS-t is the TURBO + Intercooler on the GTS-t (hence the "t"). GTS are just like a "non-turbo" version of the GTS-t. BUT... the GTS-t Type M is the top dog of GTS-ts. The Type M has 4-pot brakes up front and an LSD standard. **Note: GTS-ts are not as common as GTS-t Type Ms. Most of the turbo R32s you'll see will either be GTS-t Type Ms or GTS-4s. The Type M was released at the same time as the GTS-t, as a result alot of buyers couldn't see the justification is saving a few thousands of Yen and missing out on the better brakes and LSD. The Type M was considered a car ranked just below the GT-R at the time (the frist series R32 GT-R) and about as close as you can get to a GT-R without buying one. In a nutshell, theres not much major differences between the GTS and GTS-t ohter than what I typed above... can some of the GTS guys answer too... Shan maybe?
  7. Yeah, and now your as good as gone (back to AU) aren't ya? What am I gonna do now? I need some gaijin backup here in Japan so it doesn't look like we're making all this up...
  8. I'll be proudly wearing SAU's uber-coolness Trucker Hat to TAS '05:
  9. :wavey: It's a burnt chicken nugget
  10. 6 out of 6 things I've bought on Yahoo have been exactly what the seller has listed/photographed. I guess I must be lucky then...
  11. I'll add them to my growing list of innacurate "near enough is good enough... they'll still buy the mag!" tell-a-few-porkies-for-more-sales crap Aussie enthusaist mags.
  12. I'd get one but is there any way you can remove the "Melbourne" logo? You Melbourne wierdos always dump on Perth so I'd rather not be seen sporting anything with Smellbourne on it. Seen? *edit: theres no Melbourne logo is there... oh sh!t...
  13. But back on topic, me and Troy have "tech days", usually him watching me slice my fingers apart for no particular reason while installing all manner of gadgets. We've/I've done: 2-DIN car audio and speakers, air filter, strut brace, intercooler, front lip, rear spoiler, wheels and tyres, center console... all done in public carparks aswell! We're in Osaka though so chances of meeting up are slim.
  14. You haven't read the thread have you?
  15. I don't know! Ask Google!
  16. Well done guys... this thread should go in the DIY section.
  17. Aaah you're talking about the PGC-10 GT-R aren't you? If you are, it was released in 1969 (not '64) and it had an S20 DOHC inline-6 (not 4 cyl.)
  18. Yep, more or less... but Silvia K's, Q's and J's are model names, as you say Q's and J's both came with SR20DEs so the model name is more of and "overall vehicle spec for the layman" type definition rather than the chassis code/VIN which goes into MUCH more detail.
  19. GH-V35 = 2.5L sedanGH-HV35 = 3.0L sedan UA-PV35 = 3.5L sedan UA-CPV35 = 3.5L coupe (only 1 engine avail.) So going by that, a "V35" Skyline means it's a 2.5L V6! An "HV35" Skyline is a 3.0L V6 and so on... As for your 2nd question, you have to remember that the "***V35" Skyline is a completely new generation of Skyline, so it doesn't carry the "R" designation anymore. As it has been said in many a Japanese BBS forum, Skyline enthusiasts shouldn't make a connection with the "R" series Skylines anymore, because even as good as they were, they are in actual fact obsolete technology and hence cannot be updated (or continuation of the family line can't happen). A similar thing happened when the C210 Skyline changed to the R30 series...
  20. Yes, thats essentially it. The US Infiniti "G35" (coupe) is a model name, so shouldn't be confused with the chassis code "[uA-CP]V35" (coupe). You could actually say "V35 Infinti G35"... but there would just be too much confusion and/or explaining for US peeps to handle I think. So G35 for the US delivered version. Other than that, I think there are slight trim differences (ie: shape of the seats/headrests, fabrics, soundsystem specs, colours etc) and of course the badging. Everything else is practically the same.
  21. Very, very cheap call there... (considering I didn't say the RD28 was an RB)
  22. 3rd of December release for Japan.
  23. Alright, but our man Guilty was saying that the V in "V"35 meant it had a VQ35DE... So to make it easy for Guilty, the "E" in ECR33/34 means 2.5L RB25? And the "H" in H*R32 means 2.0L RB20? I dare say the RB20E R33 Skyline was dubbed HR33? *checks Car Sensor* yep... HR33 = RB20E.
  24. Btw, R31 Skylines ran the RB20 series engines in Japan (a diesel engine too).
