  1. Haven't touched PS for a couple of years, thought I'd give it a bash and for fun
  2. better (missed a couple of bits, oh well...)
  3. I think in the US they had some rev-up engine... A quote from a 350Z forum "the difference in the 06 is, that it has variable valve timming on the intake and exhaust so they had to change the ecu to control the timing. the 03-05 only have variable valve timming on the intake side only, even the 05 rev-up"
  4. I'm interested, would be nice to try and do it before winter sets in.
  5. Should be worth at least +5hp but will have to see on the dyno after it is complete
  6. I had mine up the last night and it was off exactly 180 degrees, that is heading North it pointed to South, heading East it pointed to West, heading West pointed to East. I would think if someone were changing the software it would be fairly easy to swap N and S, and W and E? or maybe turn or flip the unit it is in 180 degrees? I'm in Perth...
  7. Nit picking but the next model after V35 is V36 but as they have a 3.7L engine they are badged G37's in the US as far as I understand it.
  8. They were put there by the previous owner so you would put a picture looking down your girlfriends FMFM boots on the internet? Best suggetion I can come up with is sunglass/glasses holders: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/154082...8741/parts.aspx but I doubt that's it...
  9. Urogue, I should probably add something useful rather than just hijack the thread with the others Since no one else has mentioned, a number of people are insured with HBF, is fairly reasonable. Thread on the topic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...mp;hl=insurance
  10. Chris can you please send me details of the CC kit? If I'd known about the lack of it and that you could sort it, I probably would have got you to do it when you had my car, never mind
  11. Speaking of interior lights, I left one on, on Sunday. Flat battery this morning Ended up buying a battery charger at Dick Snap in town, will be all good in the morning. Although I wonder if it is possible to get to the toolkit in the boot with no power, as the boot release is electronic and I'm only aware of the rear seat release inside the boot? I had tools at home but it made me wonder...
  12. I sort of fit a flat pack three seater outdoor bench in with the seats down. I say sort of because I could lower the boot lid and it stayed down but I couldn't quite shut it. Anyway, I got it home without any dramas and avoided having to leave it there
  13. Second pic he posted would be of the right side of the car if that makes any difference? Yeah I have them, obviously to stop stone chips etc. Would think you could get new ones perhaps? but by the sounds of it they would be a mission to replace.
  14. I've found Meguiar's Paint Cleaner will get rid of a lot of stubborn stuff quite well, actually worked great on my headlights too, got rid of that slightly hazy look. As for sap I don't know but it's says it's non-abrasive so it shouldn't hurt to try. Has also worked well on previous cars to get rid of black specs from around the exhaust, as well as getting rid of mild oxidisation. You would generally want to do this before you polish, so you don't put a layer of polish over any marks and as all this does is clean you want to put a protective coat on afterwards.
  15. There are obviously others around, have seen [sTR8 G] a couple of time in North Perth, who ever own [VV 35 WA] lives a couple of blocks south of me, have seen a couple of black ones around and a lady who works at the same company as me has one but I guess they aren't forum regulars/users edit: looks at str8g's pics haha, hey you had a pic of a silver car for your avatar
  16. I got a major service at Imports 101 in East Vic Park (WA) and specifically asked them to adjust the handbrake and as Chris Rogers had said the belts looked 90% gone when he installed the stereo I asked them to replace them. I got a quote beforehand and it seemed fair. Following the service there was a fresh looking scratch in the centre console I'd never seen before, then the AC belt fell off, wasn't apparent at first as I got it done in July, went to an AC shop thinking the re-gas might have got missed over east but no, the belt. Then a couple of weeks later the main drive belt fell off as I was on a Freeway onramp, as I was close to the AC shop and figured they could do a belt I went straight to them and they replaced it. The AC shop said they couldn't see any problem with car and they've been fine since, so it seems they were poorly fitted at Imports101. I told Imports101, they seemed nice enough, so thought it was fair to let them know and they said they were happy to have a look and for it to be at their expense if it was their fault but add a couple of minor things to the above and all from one visit, I figured I would be stupid to go near the place again. If the main belt had gone when I was down south for example I would have been pretty much stranded, no engine cooling, was also slightly scary having the power steering cut out on me mid may through a sweeper! Staff change from time to time and really that is what makes a place good or bad and they could have changed by now but that was my experience.
  17. WA isn't far, it is the rest that are far away
  18. Yeah the stainless steel pipe does get a bit warm but I think it would be hard to notice a difference in power compared to say a CF one, would probably only show up on a dyno over a number of runs. I should probably feel how warm mine gets now since I put the Kinetix Plenum on, would help a bit I imagine as that isn't metal.
  19. oh NTSC not PAL eh? I thought thought the Japs used PAL... but no, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC#NTSC-J
