  1. Nice one! I'm wondering if adjusting the gyro angle may be able to sort out our Compasses that are off here in Oz? ... or would that just be relating to the VDC perhaps?
  2. On the manuals if you are trying to get off the lights quickly VDC goes off, it cuts power too much if it detects just a little slip. However, if you are driving sensibly it is good to have on, especially in the wet, doesn't let the back end get out too far etc.
  3. When is the speed limiter exactly supposed to kick in? In my old car I got up to 160 at Wanneroo Raceway, if I take this car there 180 will come and go if it's not limited, does it cut in as harshly as the rev limiter, right on 180? and where does the ECU live? In my old car it was under the stereo, I'm guessing around there or glovebox sort of area? Found this about the G35, I guess it's the same but mirror image being RHD? http://www.technosquareinc.com/G35ECUremoval.htm
  4. OK, if it opens the throttle more than otherwise possible it could perhaps be worthwhile.

  6. 1) CDs work, DVDs don't 2) You can get a Radio Band Expander Example 3) Jap TV is NTSC, we use PAL in Australia, GPS doesn't have maps for Australia, although you can input a signal to the screen.
  7. Nice photos Chris, thanks for posting them up!
  8. If I hadn't already forked out for a different plenum I would be interested. I also wonder like Paul about the 6500rpm+ ? Feels like the redline cut out is a bit early, not sure about an easy way around it though,
  9. How much is your friend looking for? Is the kit still 100% complete?
  10. Nice car and so cheap! If I didn't have to give anything up (manual, sunroof, etc.) I'd consider buying it and selling mine, would work out cheaper than putting a blower on mine I would think,
  11. I got this but off eBay http://www.toyboxauto.com/inc/sdetail/601 Have posted before about it, in short yes noticeable gain, happy with it. Off eBay the cost a little more than the others, "Buy it now" $260, current bid on another $200
  12. You can buy clear stickers and put them through a bubblejet printer, professional printers would would no doubt have a better set up but it would be much the same idea I guess, printers are made for primarily printing on white paper, you can feed whatever through but it's not going to print white for you. Unless maybe you could get white stickers you could print on? but then still funkymonkey says they fade...
  13. I can see what you are saying BUT if you believe the gain is because of a greater volume of air making its way into the cylinders, would you also agree that with the same AFR, more air and the corresponding amount of more fuel results in a bigger boom, that is more hp? After all, that's what a super/turbo charger set up does but to a much greater degree.
  14. Yeah I'm happy with that one of mine on the narrows with the city in the background! Would have been hard to set it up better if we were trying, glad my car was in the right place at the right time Paul I've got a friend up in Gero who has invited me up for a w/e sometime, will get in contact if I head that way so I can check your ride

  18. Not sure but it would make sense, holds less momentum, revs drop quicker with no throttle etc.
  19. Mine apparently came with one from Japan, so can't really compare the before/after, but it drives well Although it seems to be correct because of a very small downside, if you start the car when it is warm the computer doesn't catch and hold the revs at 500rpm with no throttle, so just have to depress the accelerator a little after starting when warm, then after a few seconds it's all good, could maybe be adjusted, might mention it next time I get it serviced but no biggie.
  20. I think it looks pretty good for an SUV, would prefer it if they called it something different though, along the lines of what Subaru do, Impreza -> Forrester, Liberty -> Outback
  21. Wheel Boyz Sizes: 18x7.5 19x8.5 20x8.5 20x10 Says to call for price. Look pretty similar to me though so might be worth it? Don't know anything about these guys except it says they are in Qld, was linked to by a local tyre place here in WA, so they probably have distributors around Oz.
  22. Within 6-10km is normal, I think the ADRs say it has to be within 10% Yes as has been raised many times this is stupid because your speedo could read 100 and you are actually doing 110, it would meet ADR but you would still get a fine. Thing is basically all speedos overstate your speed. I think TT/ACA did a test once and Jeep Cherokees speedos said 120 when they were doing 110. That said, I guess if it was out by as much as 10km/h it would be annoying.
