  1. On my radio for I think it is 79.3FM it says "Radio 80", rather than just saying 79.3 again. Does anyone know how to enter text for each station, would be nice to change it to "Triple J" or "99.3" and alike for each station, if it isn't too hard to do. (I have searched...)
  2. As stupid as it may sound, if you get a grounding kit it will make the VDC smoother. I think most people get it to smooth out the auto but even though I've got a manual myself, I found it to be most worthwhile.
  3. I've got KU19's on my car now, pretty happy with them. At first I wasn't so much but I think that was because they used some sort of grease or whatever to get the tyres on and got some on the tread and they were also over inflated. Now that's sorted they are good. I had Faulkens previously, they were fairly comparable, except the sidewalls on the Faulkens seemed a little stiffer. So probably prefered the Faulkens slightly but they were an extra $100 a corner. The KU19 tread pattern is an obvious rip off of Pirelli P Zero's. KU19's are supposed to be a little softer than KU31's which should mean they grip a bit better but wear a bit quicker. I had KU31's on a previous car, they were pretty good, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's were the best I had on that car but they were more costly and now some come out of China, which have a lower speed rating and they go for a fair few more dollars. Had KU31's on my current car but only while I was taking it very easy getting it over the pits etc. I read up a bit on the LS1 forums and everyone who had them were happy with them. Seemed to be some people making assumptions on car forums that because they are relatively cheap they aren't good but from people who had actually had them, they all seemed satisfied.
  4. For touch up paint get the code from the door frame of the car and get the touch up paint from Nissan.
  5. Well if yours gets written off, replacing it with one from Japan for the same price involves about a three month wait before it will be on the road, assuming you find a car of similar spec and condition quickly. To replace it locally will cost you more. Really what it comes down to though is odds, it's a bet with agreed conditions. Part of that agreement is that you won't commit fraud and you can be sure if there is any hint of that they will investigate.
  6. Yeah that's what I was wondering, thanks.
  7. Do you know if it is possible to get the other bulbs that point down and wide to match up colour wise and match the whiteness of the Xenon? Or would it be too bright to have them both on you went the Xenon's anyway?
  8. With carsales.com.au from memory you can edit the ad and pay one fee no matter how long it takes to sell. So if you aren't in too much of a hurry start high and if you aren't getting enough interest, lower the price.
  9. Checkerplate or woodgrain look roof? haha
  10. Glad it was a good one, hopefully I'll make it to the next one!
  11. Yeah I wondered if it had something to do with you did Chris, thanks, mystery solved rs73: Last car that I had that the powerchip went in, it was a noticeable improvement, got it from a friend and from memory he was good enough to let me try it and make him an offer, so I decided it was worthwhile but wouldn't have been if I had to pay full price for it new (maybe $250 vs $550?)
  12. Thanks rs73. The engine runs fine, have got it serviced at a couple of places that deal with the cars in Perth and they've both said it's all in good order. One of my guesses would be something like power chip but there are electronics for other stuff as well. Would be interesting to know though, because I would consider getting the ECU reflashed but obviously if it has already done there isn't much point. Could also be that the chips that correspond to these in the car are the non-stock ones or the stock ones could have been put back in. I got a powerchip for my last car and it was all good, I always use 98RON anyway.
  13. I found these in my glovebox a while back, anyone know what they are from/for? Thanks.
  14. I was going to ask if it was the left side rubbing when you take right hand turns, as the turn you take is a bigger arc, higher speed, weight shifts over a bit more.. ... but I guess not.
  15. Sweet looking car there scathing. My car as gone the other way, had some pretty chunky spacers in Japan but to get it complied here they got removed. By the sounds of it they altered things to get them on in Japan which got sorted out while complied here. To be honest I'm not looking to get any spacers put back on. If I had it dumped I guess I probably would so it met the guard a bit better but since it's not (speed humps, what speed humps?), I think it perhaps makes the dish look slightly deeper? Japan with spacers Here, similar angle, shadow, without spacers: If you prefer the Japan shot though, well get spacers
  16. I've been a slightly quicker than a couple of XR6 Turbos, I'm guessing they didn't have too many mods though...
  17. Wouldn't that be aquaplaning? and tram-lining be when the straight cuts in the tyre tread catch on things like or if you're in Melbourne actual... tramlines?
  18. If I was selling my car I wouldn't be too keen to drop my car off to *some* workshop for a day or half day, would be more comfortable with RAC or somewhere with a similar reputation. I got a previous car inspected by RAC, I picked up some things they didn't but on the other hand they picked up some thing I didn't. However I was a bit pissed that it said "HLA noise", I called up and asked what that was to see if it was a big deal or not and I got told "ask your mechanic"... (turned out some people get them replaced but in my case good synthetic oil basically sorted it out over time). That RAC was an on site one, which I think took less than an hour.
  19. From the same person/people these look awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZHKxQl3b00
  20. Like "nismo replica kit from ravspec." and like "kurumaZ front, stock sides, stock rear with gt spec rear diffuser, oem splash guards"
