  2. hehehe.. yeah as you can see i never went to uni.. lol
  3. how hard is it to change them?
  4. thrust bearing is located at the back of the engine where the flywheel bolts to.. the input shaft out of the gearbox goes into this... the throwout bearing is a part of your clutch thing. not sure how it works but it push's or pulls your clutch plate in/out to disengauge your clutch... something like that
  5. i found the other day that my fron right cv boot has a small crack in the boot... now i have put more grease into the boot and taped it and cable tied it until the weekend... can someone tell me the process of getting the hub and rotor and all that off to get to the cv's??? also does it really matter is i just get a universal boot instead of finding the one that came on the car??? cos i can get them for like $13.00 each any help would be great.
  6. absoutly 10/10.. i did a auto to manual conversion and the gearbox weights about 150kg's so you need at least 2 guys doing it... easiest why to get it in and out is to use a car jack length ways under the gearbox and lowered like that. you can also use a input shaft out of a 180b gearbox to align the clutch... do a search for conversion and clutch changes.. have fun
  7. bump.. anyone... give me a price!
  8. might take the turbo too... mmmmm sms me and we'll talk
  9. i'll take the cooler? do the pipes come with it??? sms me 0412 978 627
  10. how much for RB26dett without gearbox??? has it got the sump, intake manifold, all that stuff... turbos?
  11. these look sick on my mates R32!!! the best exhaust system i have seen
  12. cool thanks... the pump if fine its about 3 months old.. but i don't know about the injectors. is there a way of cleaning them yourself?
  13. right... my car has done 169,000km's and i have used about 3 or 4 different oils from 10w-40 to 25w-50... maybe the penrite oil has some sort of cleaning agent in it and unblocked something?? who knows with the bolts on the oil pump, how hard is it to tighten them up again??
  14. if i get it dyno'd would they be able to fix the problem without buying anything to put on the car????
  15. i have the same problem as you... but like today i was driving down the road and i watched it go form just under the 2 mark upto about 3 than about 5 mins later frop back down again... when i start it in the morning it does just under the 4 than drops to just under the 2, than after about 15mins of driving it does down again.. than if i pull over and stop somewhere for about 1 min or 2 than start up it will be right for another 15 or 20 mins or so... its got me stumped.... dodgy gauge i think
  16. i have a autometer air/fuel ratio gauge in my car and i know most people say that they aren't accurate but anyway... i have noticed that when i am driving on the highway in 5th gear and floor it, the car will accelerate but then when it gets to about 4 or 4500rpm the gauge will go from 3 green bars ( rich ) to the last red led's on the other side ( lean ). i pulled out no.6 plug and it was alittle white not alot and i have had those plugs in there for about 3 months or so. i have a walbro ( *spelling ) 500hp intank pump and a Apexi BOV.. most people with this kind of mods are running rich as hell. also the car will backfire sometimes. its a RB20DET 4WD so if anyone has any idea's that would be great.. other mods are 3" turbo back exhaust, pod with CAI and thats about it. Thanks guys
  17. ok in the the R32 GTR and GTS-4 ( like mine ) you can use RWD by pulling the 4WD fuse under the bonnet. you can make up a switch that bypasses that very easily. you can also get a torque spilt device so you can choose how much goes to the front wheels.
  18. wouldn't swap for R32 rims and brand new tyres + cash?
  19. to get down low response cams and cam gears would do the trick... most RB's are pretty laggy anyway so instead of taking off slow rev to 3grand and drop the clutch. works wonders
  20. why not just by a car with 4wd its much easier.. hehehe especially with new clutch
  21. BINGO! its the odd one out... red = + , black = - and the white would be the signal wire. have fun
  22. how about a GTS-4??? i got mine for less than a a GTS-T and its got the 4WD... spending money on a gts4 would be a better option. you could bolt in a RB26 and spend the money on turbos and cooler and suspension etc... what do you guys think?
  23. are you sure... mine consult plug is above the fuse box and you can remove from that position. it was awhile ago but i can't remember it looking like that.
  24. training your woman to spot skylines. isn't it wonderful.. lol everytime my girlfriend goes to work se'll message me straight away and tell what kind it was and everything...
