  1. i was looking at some older threads and found one that said that you can use a bleed valve on your standard fuel reg to adjust pressure? how does this work and would you need to use a fuel pressure gauge to set it? Thanks guys Mr_GTS4
  2. and the point of this thread is what exactly? lol
  3. stock boost on my silver top rb20 is 10psi. the R33 runs about 7-8 stock. with the turbo, its really upto you how you go but i think that the GT series turbo would be better cause its ball bearing and it will spool better on the Rb20 giving better response down low. how you thought of getting a silver top head and putting it on your block? i have one and sold it to a guy in the same situation you are in now. they flow better too. GTR cams, gears, and injectors are another good idea as well, the valve springs you don't really need for 200rwkw. anyway yeah, whichever way you go its sounds like a good project
  4. yep sounds good. should be as good as the last one i hope. ( mmmm the sight of 77 sklyines down a highway.. mmmmmm)
  5. well i got mine done by direct clutch up here in brisbane and got a up-rated HD GTR clutch installed for $800 including flywheel machining, oils, spigot and throw out bearings. its was $500 for the clutch and $300 labour. and now i'm getting them to change the box to a GTR one and their charging me $360 and i'm buying the oils. doesn't make much sense but anyway yeah thats the price up here.
  6. or use a 180b gearbox input shaft.
  7. not exactly the same design.. look at them closely!!
  8. you wouldn't really need to take everyhting off, just go over every bolt you see under and tighten it up really tight. on mine it was 2 bolts on the left side that connect like a link between the left and right hubs. there are two bolts on either side. they located near where the bottem control arm connects to the chassis. also buy a can of silcon spray and use that on all your bushs. like control arm, sway bar links, and underneath the car aswell.. worked for me see if that works. Curt
  9. no i was just wondering thats all.. cos it does seem possible to me but hey. tell us how it goes
  10. just wondering if you can remove the sump without ripping the motor out?? like to replace big end bearings and other things like that.
  11. you can use the engine but you won't be able to use the 4WD system.. get a vl sump and use that on the gtr motor and loom etc.. have fun
  12. go buy one that was made from the factory.... think of all the little things that could go wrong!!!
  13. $12.500. totally stock and a old lady was driving it... but it was auto but now its manual:)
  14. trust me having every bolt off under there and nothing move's... i've tried. hehehe but yeah, just be safe and tighten everything up and spray it too.
  15. ok... well i'm going to install a GTR box so i don't think i'll have any problems with it breaking on the RB20DET.. hehehe.. just have to find someone that will install it for a good price in brisbane. anyone?
  16. i would suggest getting under the car and tigtening every nu and bolt on that side of the car and using silocon spray on all the bushes and joints.. if that don't work if could be something like your ball joints. i have a sound coming from the left side and have tried many things to fix it, 3 different pro's have looked at it, and all of them have said " i don't know mate". have fun
  17. well i had the thrust bearing and the throw-out bearing replaced with the HD GTR clutch i got put in. but i got a price of $300 for labour to re-bearing the box so i might got that way and then i will know what condition it in.
  18. i have a noisy bearing ( i think ). well in netural with the clutch out you can hear it, also in all the gears when driving except 4th gear. which bearing would it be and why is making a ratchet? it hasn't changed in about 6 months and doesn't seem to be getting worse. i'm looking at getting a gtr gearbox later on but will nulon G70 help the noise at all? or do you know anyone that has a GTS4 gearbox in good condition. Thanks guys
  19. i'll look at it this weekend and see what i come up with.. has anyone else problems with noise in the suspension other than the cv's?
  20. thanks alot i'll try it on the weekend
