  1. see with my car because it is 4WD i don't have a factory boost gauge.
  2. same thing happened to me on monday when a friend and i finished my install, wouldn't idle right went for a drive and it sounded like a tweety bird ( where the air was leaking from ) tightened it up and bob's your uncle.
  3. there is a bright orange R32 GTR cough cough i mean gtst going around where i live with GTR bodykit and the badge on the back, and has the plates GTR - 30. when i was driving behind it i noticed that the rear shocks were different to mine ( gts4 and gtr have same struts ). i then raced him and flogged him, pulled up next to him and he wouldn't even look at me.
  4. what about if someone had a GTS4 ( me ) and had recorded!! atleast 206 4wkw, then would it be ok the put a GTR badge on the back?
  5. does it make any noises or just feels like its going over bumps? if it does it could be a wheel bearing which is easy fixed.
  6. when i had lowered king springs in the GTS4 front struts then taking them out and putting them into the gtr struts i noticed that the springs were the same height and had the same number of coils on them?? does this mean that the car would sit at standard GTR height?
  7. i thought that the idea of a map sensor was to eliminate the restrictive AFM so more boost could be run and could be tuned better. ie. car with AFM doesn't have/need MAP/MAF sensor and a car with a MAP/MAF doesn't have a AFM. i'm not being a dick i'm just trying to understand the difference between the two and what cars have them or don't.
  8. fun it off a vacum pipe from the intake plenum to see how much boost reaches the engine. ps. skylines don't have map sensors they are air flow meters.
  9. i have had a problem with my oil pressure sender for awhile.. sometimes watching it doing 100k's then the gauge says about 1 on the stock gauge. after calming down from freaking out i tapped the sender with the wheel nut undoer and it free'd it up aor something because everytime i do that it shows 2 on the stock gauge at idle. its porbably just your sender playing funny buggers. also i am using HPR 15 which is a 10w - 60 oil with a purolater ( *spelling ) oil filter.
  10. get a new oil pressure sender or just bang it with something. works for me when it displays really low figures. i have a new sender there just haven't been bothered to change it.
  11. its alittle shorter going the second way you said, but not much. i'm doing my pipping on monday and using the standard pipping in the engine bay then with the cooler run one straight into the cooler then the other side run it back under the cooler using half a donut for a tight bend back to the standard pipe. you can see this setup in the DIY section.
  12. do it yourself... doto the DIY section and there are afew people that have done it for a 33. quite easy to do it and alot cheaper.
  13. for that amount of money why not just go and bought a bigger better turbo that a company has designed for your car?
  14. depends on how much pipe you want to do and how many layers. i only did the one pipe and bought 10m of it and i still have about 9m left.
  15. i used stuff similar to this on the pipe that comes accross the engine then into the intake., it does reflect most of the heat after a run or two. touching the other intercooler pipes compared to the one that does have it on there is big difference. how much is that stuff anyway?
  16. a 2.0 60ft time thats pretty bloody good!!! is that only RWD? i managed a 2.085 60ft time in my gts4 - mind you i don't have that power level at all.

  18. you can't buy anything off them unless comeone custom makes them for you. i still don't understand why they can't put them in a shed as knore said. its really bad the best designed R32's out there and they sit there rotting away.... very sad

  20. well. there not even under cover, thats what really annoys me i wish i worked there, i would be washing them and polishing them all day
  21. just wondering if anyone had more info on these cars?? i love the look of them soooo much. quite annoying to see them sitting there rusting and mossing up.. anyone got any info or pics of these cars?
  22. i would just go and get engine, gearbox, computer and loom. wouldn't bother with the front cut as you would HOPE to sell everything out of it. a RB30DET isn't such a bad idea if your going to spend $4600 on a front cut..
  23. yeah same thing happened with mine. although i don't know what brand they were because i got them with the car.. start squealing and used the nipple things ( ) didn't work. pulled them apart, cleaned them with contact cleaner or something. let them dry them cake them in that special white grease stuff. seemed to work until the bushs were just about to fall out haha.
  24. front or rear? who installed them? can you see if they are leaking anywhere? get a heap of that gease take the arms off again, put a heap of it through where the bolts go and make sure the bolt has a layer of grease on it too. and try again.
