  1. I've asked her if she wanted to get out of the house, and briefly drop in at the dyno day to thank everyone personally for their support and flowers. She'll just see how she feels on the day.
  2. Thanks Brendan. She's been home since the weekend and is currently asleep and resting. Surgeons gave her 6 weeks off work ... but she's only got enough leave for 3. Things are going to be on the tight side for a while. She keeps complaining that she's going to have some big ugly scars ... but I'm just thankful that she's still here in one piece. I've realised exactly just how much I care for her over the last 1.5 weeks.
  3. Could your fuelling issues be that the cradle didn't clip back correctly into the tank, and has now come loose? I know I almost didn't clip mine back in properly when I fitted my Walbro pump (18 months ago and running just perfect still).
  4. Am I missing something? How is this deal with Malaysia working for aussies Gillard? We struck a deal with Malaysia to swap 800 asylum seekers for 4000 refugees at a cost to us taxpayers of $76M to process and transport the asylum seekers to Malaysia and $300M to process and transport the refugees here? So $376 million for 3200 (4000-800) individuals? Seriously, can someone explain this to me ... I've been out of touch for the past week, and this is what I saw in the headlines yesterday. But don't worry. Her carbon tax will cover that.
  5. I may be along for this. Will be doing a track day at Phillip Island on monday 31st. Would be silly not to swing by for the weekend and enjoy Skyline heaven.
  6. I full VRS kit, inlet manifold and turbo mounting kit should see you right. You'll need to remove the turbo to remove the exhaust manifold. Inlet manifold will come off to. Might as well clean the idle control valve etc while you're at it.
  7. Yeah, watch out for the grandpa-spec monster dude. I'll be heading out shortly. Get there about 7.30pm if the Bluey makes it
  8. Anyone heading to vilis?
  9. I bought myself another car Couldn't resist, when the owner was 70+ year old and owned it from new ... and it had been garaged for the last 2 years as he is now deceased. Apart from some rust on the roof, the car is mint and all original. This is a genuine "owned since new by and old man" car, with very low kms for its age Pure fluke I got it. Bought it cheap as it wasn't running. Just had way too much crap in the carby from sitting around for years. I've rebuilt the carby and I'm about to head out to refit it and start her up. I'll take pics and reveal what it is that I've bought.
  10. The radiator may have been flushed, but what about the block. There's always the scenario that that crap is coming from the block, even if the block was flushed also. There will always be little traces of gunk that will filter thru the motor at a later time. Seeing as there is no chocolate milkshake in your sump, and only small traces of oily residue on your cap, I'd do a pressure test at a starting point. Then monitor the radiator and oil in sump at weekly intervals if the leak down test is okay. Just keep an eye on it for now.
  11. Anyone know of a cheap shitbox car, ute or van for sale. Doesn't matter if it has mechanical problems on whatever, I can sort that out. My Stag and the wfie's car is starting to look filthy with our treks to the horse stables, and picking up food supplies for our horse. Wouldn't mind a hack that we couldn't care less about cleaning. An R31 would be perfect tho
  12. Thank God its friday! I'll be at Vilis tonight. Get there between 6.15-6.30pm.
  13. And I thought dog attacks on posties was an urban myth
  14. Mark, small hiccup for me on the sunday. I've been nagged to enter a competition on sunday. Need to be in uniform and on the mat by 1pm. Sorry bud, couldn't say no with my entry being paid for. I'll still be at the meet point and come for the cruise, but will bail about 12.30pm. Oh, and second hiccup, Cameron won't be with us. He's in europe for a holiday.
  15. I'm at home doing SAU-SA homework
  16. Matty, prob not as much fun as mud ... but with yesterday's hail, I learnt how to iceskate a postie bike
  17. Yeah ... but with a higher flowing filter, a 3" zorst, and tune, we could raise it to 1.3hp p.s. Tracy just warned us to leave her horse alone
  18. Ooo that one's earned you some hurt from Tracy Yeah 'Millie' is an awesome easy natured horse. Tracy still can't believe that she now owns a horse
  19. Dragged myself outta bed this morning. Wasn't going to let a cold prevent me from getting Tracy (my wife) her early birthday present. Meet Millie, an 11yo thoroughbred ex-racehorse. No vices, 100% awesome horse, friendly and responds to commands. Tracy of course was very excited
  20. Don't we have wasteland for this?
  21. Consumer Affairs dude. If they've not provided you with a working, roadworthy vehicle then tell them you'll get it assessed by consumer affairs.
  22. Yummo! Bring some back will ya!
  23. Hehe. I'll get stuck into them. Caleb may be their excuse for not attending (he's only 3 months old) ... but you never know
  24. Have fun Dunc. I went to Scotland years ago. You going to Edinburgh or Glasgow? The accent is easier to understand in Edinburgh You gotta go to the Highlands and Rosslyns Chapel.
  25. Mark, My last cruise back in November 2008 got a total of 25 stageas ... and I believe no one has beaten that yet in any state. 26 stageas will get you the title And I'll be there with my stagea to help your pursuit. Would be good to get a decent video together of the event ... like this one: Anyone know whatever happened to Dan (RSfour)? His video producing skills were awesome (as evidenced in the vid above).
