A mate of mine has one. With a few mods too. They're definitely not a shy car. I wouldn't say no to one in my garage. Another mate has recently bought himself a 370Z with a few mods. I'll be going for a spin in it shortly when it arrives

I like old school stuff also, so I've thought about the idea of an SLR replica with twin turbos = 400kw+. Reckon it would be cheaper to build than buying an R33 GTR ... not to say I wouldn't buy an R33 GTR And the thought of an LJ with an RB30/25DET combo under the hood gets me randy.

Should've read "stuck on 16psi" not "stuck with 16psi" ... not like you had a choice by the sounds of it. Obviously you ran it on AWD. I'll be squeezing my lemon later in the year to see what I can get out of it ... in AWD also (and a manual box conversion). I recall Ben (Grim) passing comment to run 24psi in this stag eventually. Be interesting what he gets out of that "family wagon".

I see both your points, but its a debut event for Skyline and Stagea enthusiasts ... not necessarily owners. The Pulsar club allowed our skylines in on their day (including Mattys smoky truck). I'm sure we can allow one Commonwhore (owned by a Club member) to attend. Due to my broken box in the stag, if all I had access to was a Commie ute, I'd run that on the rollers as well.

I refrain from the name calling. Shows weakness. I recall someone calling me a "hero" and a implying a few other things recently in a negative manner.

There is no argument that the defect system needs improvement ... but on the other side of the coin, why complain when you know your car is defectable. Maybe the crushing law could be abused. But that would be alot harder to do than issuing a defect. My mindset is my mindset. Get done for hooning, suffer the consequences. If its unfair, take it to court, thats what its there fore. I've lost 3 close friends to the actions of others for hooning and nothing I know will change that. Maybe the law might be abused ... but maybe, just maybe it will save some lives??? You guys won't consider that.

You're seeing things too much in black and white. I ain't giving up any freedom ... because I won't be caught hooning ... I won't run from cops ... I won't put my life or others at risk ... I won't be a dickhead like the others who these laws are aimed at. I have nothing to worry about. I won't be doing anything wrong, and I won't have any of the toys crushed Hands up those who have lost close ones as a result of hoons! Well my hand goes up three fold. I support these kind of laws, when used correctly and unabused. I might still have some good friends alive today if these laws were in effect. Listening to the young and stupid (Rhys) whinge about violation of rights this, police state that, gets on my nerves when it is plainly obvious something needs to be done. If you won't lift your right foot off that pedal, the cops will do it for you. Use your brains. And you talk about loss of freedom. Hoons have already traded their freedom for paranoia.

Its not just the recorded deaths ... its also the other casualties/injuries that don't hit the media. And the stories that are getting air time on the news are getting more and more horrific. I spoke with some lads some time ago about the Motul oils. The 4100 is good for 10,000kms but who's going to leave the same oil in their car for 10,000kms? 8100 is half the price and is changed twice as often (every 5,000kms). The end result was: with the 8100 the two oil changes every 10,000kms (5.000kms each) mean you'll have fresher oil more often. So I stick with the 8100 every 5,000kms. Same cost in the end.

I don't want SA to become a police state either, but when there are tools out there giving them reasons to introduce punishment like this, what else can ya do? These fools are giving them a reason to consider it. If the offenders are not learning their lesson, of course the punishment will increase in severity until the lesson sinks into their thick skulls. Its working already, just talking about it. The fear is being put into you. Maybe some drivers need to learn was fear is again.
