  1. I'll take two if Mark wants to take the other two. Given that i'm not looking for burnouts, I'll take the two with the most tread : )
  2. Yeah mate, the car was there a few days ago. Pro-tek is the only place I've ever taken my car. Highly recommend Dom and Joe!
  3. Spotted Kekt1k in greensborough around 1pm this arvo. Parked in underground carpark. Love the r34 GTR wheels.
  4. Spotted GTT-98 in Fitzroy north yesterday around 2-3pm. Looked nice
  5. I'm thinking "ace ventura" style.
  6. That's pretty impressive lol.
  7. I've got some that came off my s2 r33. PM me an offer if you want them.
  8. How do you change it?
  9. If someone was to have a reo bar that was cut to facilitate the installation of a FMIC, then one of these badboys might be just the ticket to cover it all up and avoid having the po-po send the poor driver for an engineers . Just something to think about.
  10. Also keen on buying one if the price is right, but I think $170+ is a bit ridiculous for a piece of sheet metal.
  11. As above, has anyone here attempted making an air diversion / radiator cooling panel? I'm thinking of making one for my r33, to cover up the ugly insides of my bumper, and also in recognition of the warmer months ahead. Thanks guys.
  12. I think it looks freakin awesome. Free bump for Beau : )
  13. What do you mean when you say that one of the wheels is curbed? Is it bent, dented etc?
  14. BRILLIANT!!!!!
  15. I can't believe I missed this post previously. So let me get this straight, I can have a set of wheels that are larger than standard by 1" (fully legal), and that gives an officer the right to inspect my entire vehicle, because he / she now has "reasonable grounds" to suspect my vehicle is not complying with the act, even though the wheels are fully compliant. How does the existence of a fully legal "modification" give an officer "reasonable grounds" to suspect that the vehicle doesn't comply with the Act? That makes absolutely no sense. I don't think a reasonable person would consider that "reasonable grounds". To me, that's the equivalant of an officer driving past someone's house and stopping because he sees a suspicious plant in the front of a property that looks like Marijuana. It turns out it's just an innocent indigenous shrub, however he knocks on the front door because he now has reasonable grounds to suspect that the owner of the house has a marijuana plant inside. Perhaps not the best analogy, but equally as nonsensical nonetheless. Sounds like typical bully-boy tactics used to take advantage of less legal minded road users to me
  16. Spotted a white 34 at RMIT in the city today with SAU stickers. Asian dude driving. Car looked awesome. Gave a beep as I drove past, not sure if he saw me.
  17. I considered that, but I got my cat back pretty cheaply, and it has been custom made to run along the standard exhaust route, for a really stock look, so I guess, for me it will probably be more economical to have the new mufflers welded in. I can understand your logic though bloke, that's for sure.
  18. Not a problem mate, i'm in exactly the same predicament. I'm planning on changing both the muffler and the mid-muffler. I just bought one of the MP02 mufflers, delivered for $225. I've heard good things about them. That should quiet it down a little. Now just to change the crappy hot-dog into something larger/quieter, and hopefully I should have a system close or under 90db.
  19. Precisely. Im looking at the XForce MP02, I hear it will suit my application well. Any opinions? http://www.bestmufflers.com/Xforce_Exhaust...ms/mufflers.htm
  20. As above, Does anyone have any recommendations? I need a large body, oval muffler to quiet down my 3 inch turbo back system. I've heard the X-Force range are pretty good, and quite cost effective. I accept that it probably won't quiet it down to a legal level, i.e under 90db, but i'm sure it might be sutable in the interim. Basically, I need to pi$$ off the crappy loud cannon on it at the moment, and come up with something a little less "over the top". Any recommendations are appreciated. Kind Regards,
  21. I've got a k&n panel filter for my s2 r33. I found that the car revs a little smoother through the rev range. Definitely a good mod, however the filter cost me about $80 from memory. I'm going back to airbox due to defect as well, it's definitely the safest bet these days mate.
  22. Then again, it doesn't really matter, because I don't want to run a boost controller anyway lol.
  23. Good question, i'd be curious to know.
  24. Is there a tutorial anywhere on the net showing this process?
  25. Fantastic. So it can be done! I'm going to speak to my workshop about having this done. If anything, woudln't modifying the wastegate be a more reliable way of getting higher boost than a conventional boost controller? And also, it would look completely legal to boot! I would imagine it would cost a lot more to have done than a boost controller, but none the less, I'm excited!
