Been running 11-12 psi for a few months now with no dramas. I put a pod filter on it a while back and it started to spike to 13-14psi when the foot was planted, so i've stopped doing that and have been pretty much babying it ever since, rarely going past 10psi. The whistling only started happening about a week or two ago, no change in performance, just the noise, which makes me think the turbo isn't rooted, and it's just an air leak somewhere. Thoughts?

Hi everybody , Just noticed the other day that my turbo has started to whistle when on boost. It sounds like an air leak of some sort, coming through the intercooler or something, i'm really not too sure. The performance hasn't really differed. It still makes a full 12 pounds and holds it well, it's just making a whistling sounds the whole way through. As such, i'm hoping to god that the turbo isn't rooted. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what it could be? I'm hoping it's just an exhaust gasket or something, but i'm not sure. The car has a return pipe intercooler, turbo tech boost controller, 12 psi, pod filter etc. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Astro.

Can't stand parking inspectors. I got fined a few weeks back for apparently parking in a taxi zone, except the thing is, I got the fine in the mail, not on my windscreen, is that normal? I was parked on the side of mount alexander road in Ascot Vale on a saturday night at 11pm. I'm 90% sure it wasn't a taxi zone, as the street was full of cars doing the same thing as me. Do you guys think I should go back and check if I was in a taxi zone? It just sounded suss to me, the way I got the infringement in the mail and not on my car. How can they prove I was parked illegally? Sorry to hijack thread, I wish you the best with your friends fine.

Hi people, Myself and a friend are looking to rent a small two bedroom unit or house around the northern / north-eastern suburbs for around the $250-280 p.w mark. We've been doing the usual inspections / applications for a little while now without any real success. Hence why I am writing this now, asking any fellow members if they have a house for rent or know anyone who is renting their house out. Hey people, I've had a turbotech boost controller installed on my r33 for a few months now, running 11-12psi. When I stamp the accelerator, it occasionally spiked to 13psi or so and quickly dropped to 11-12psi. Very happy. Just last week I decided to put on a pod filter and now when I stamp the accelerator it spikes to 14-15psi and drops to 12-13, which i'm not happy with. Would the pod be causing this? I had the car dyno tuned in order to get the original boost setting, would you recommend getting it dyno'd again to reduce the boost ($150), or is this something I could do myself? Any help is appreciated. Regards,

So I took the car back today. They tried extending the antennae but to no avail. It turned out the module was faulty, so they replaced it, and hey presto, she works like a charm. Rang is no longer an issue and I am a very happy man. I now *heart* my mongoose.

You mean those "do not eat" sachets? like the ones my uncle george sprinkled over his beef jerky thinking it was a flavour sachet. That's a good idea, i might try that as well, because mine get moisture trapped inside every time i wash the damn thing.

Good morning homies, My front mount cooler, despite being only a few months old is not looking as blingy as it could be. It's looking a little dull and faded and I would like to get it nice and shiny. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how i can make my cooler look a little better? I was thinking of some chrome polish and a scratchie pad, but don't want to scratch the cooler either. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers,

So I got a Mongoose M60 installed today along with an automatic "windows up" feature. It remote controls are quite possible the most frustrating pieces of shit I have ever purchased. Basically I have to stand within 2 metres of the car to get the bastard to arm/disarm. Gone are the days when I could walk up to my car and press the central locking button (standard skyline one) from 5 metres away and get the car to unlock/lock. Is this a common problem, or maybe an install issue? Should I take it back, or is there something I can do to make the remotes work at a longer distance/more reliably? Thanks guys.
