  1. This is true. Primarily becuase I know nothing about the concept. I will need some form of engine management to crack 200 kw? Please excus the ignorance, I've been driving corollas my entire life, this shit is rocket science to me!
  2. All of the above, my friend. Haha.
  3. It's all about the "net gain" huh? Thats the way we have to approach these hurdles I think
  4. Ok, so maybe I went a little overboard in my last comment lol. I think I meant to say, "I now remember what its like to have no power at all". My capri is such a slug, but its pretty hard to get caught speeding in it which is a bonus. Pop quiz: When I get my car back on monday, will the new front mount intercooler be much louder/ make more induction noise than the standard side mount? I'm trying to keep things looking/ sounding as stock as possible. Might even paint the cooler black or something to remove the bling factor?
  5. My skyline went into the shop for a service/tune/intercooler fitting yesterday and wont be ready until monday Have been driving my little capri around (my mum normally drives it). I have completely forgotten what it is like to have "power". I think I will appreciate it a lot more when I get her back. Its only been 24 hours, I don't know if I can take it any more!
  6. Ok, so the car is an R33 SII gts-t. Its completely bone stock except for an adjustable exhaust cam gear. The car is at the mechanics as we speak having a justjap stealth intercooler fitted. I then want to put an exhaust system on and up the boost to maybe 11 pounds. With a good tune, would like to get around 180-190kw or so at the wheels. Does this sound achievable? Essentially, I like the stock look, and want to keep the car looking as stock as possible. However, I am still a little confused as to the components of an exhaust system. Can anyone break it down for me or advise what components I should look into so as to achieve this goal? I had a look into the Varex range of mufflers, they look the goods, but was concerned as to how performance would be affected by closing the "flap". Does anyone have any experience with this item? Regards, Astro Boy.
  7. Does anyone know if it possible to create a full 3 inch turbo exhaust for my r33 gts-t that will give good performance, yet still maintain the same db levels as the stock system? It is possible to incorporate the stock muffler/ exhaust tips so as to keep a stock outside appearance. I want to maintain the stock/ sleeper look/sound as much as possible. Any tips would be appreciated. Also guys, I'm a bit confused with the components that make up a complete 3 inch turbo back stystem. Can anyone explain the parts, "dump pipe' "front pipe" etc? This is still new to me. Thanks for your help people : ]
  8. Hey mate, so this is a full turbo-back exhaust? What kind of muffler? Does it exceed the street legal db limit? Very interested. Any pics? Thanks mate.
  9. Nice red S1 r33 at Epping Plaza today.
  10. Its great news that you found the skyline. I'm very happy for you
  11. Bumblebee, thanks for the hookup on the weekend, you're a gentleman. You wouldn't know where I could get my hands on some clear indicator lenses for my r33? I'm not sure if Autobarn would do that thing, but thought I would try anyway.
  12. Its a done deal then, I shall join. Been wanting to for ages.
  13. This is true, I can imagine this scenario Just hope it doesn't happen to me, or anyone else from this forum.
  14. Maybe a bit of a deterrent though? I mean, most thieves will want to be in and out of the car in a few minutes. Surely it would take more that a few minutes to saw through a Club lock? Where could I get one of these switches set up? It sounds great.
  15. I always do the same. ClubLock for the win. Although I have heard of people having their clublocks/steering wheel sawn in half in an attempt to steal the car, which is always a worry. It never ceases to amaze me the way people can be so cruel and take what isn't righfully theirs. I hope these individuals get hit by a bus. All the best in finding the car mate, I will keep an eye out.
  16. Fantastic write up. I will attempt this on my day off as one of my windows is not working either. Thanks again.
  17. Can you please send pics? If they look decent enough, I will take them, but I need pics. Cheers mate.
  18. Yeah mate, that sounds like me. I was looking at the pillar pod, but decided to go with the pod cups instead. Very happy with purchase, just got to get them put in now lol.
  19. I came to the store yesterday for a bit of retail therapy and got talking to Geno. Top bloke, really helpful and courteous. Big thumbs up to City Autobarn from me.
  20. Hey mate, are the sideskirts still available? Can you please put some pics up. Interested, and I'm not far from Resa.
  21. Ev! How is the new car? You must send me pictures. Sounds good to me mate.
  22. Lol, thats what I do mate. Most of the time I try to be really light with the pedal, so that I don't even go half way between -7 and 0. However, its also really hard to resist giving the throttle a stab every now and then haha.
  23. Yeah, one of my friends said that +7 is roughly one bar- around 14 psi.
  24. Bit of a noob question I have for you all. I have searched for the answer on the forums but to no avail. On my R33 gts-t, the standard boost gauge reads -7 0 +7. Fair enough, I understand that its not PSI, however, I want to know: Why the gauge reads in minus as well (-). What is the minus in reference to? Am in only using boost when the needle is between 0 and +7? As such, it is more economical to drive with the needle below 0? Is it even more economical to drive with the needle as close to -7 as possible? I hope someone can help answer my questions. Many thanks.
  25. Tell me more about this Orange XR6. Turbo?
