Hey Guys, An email sent and recieved recently to the Bathurst Light Car Club. These guys have been doing what we have just begun to do for 50 years now!!! Have a read. Dan. Hi Daniel I know Doug Moore has already answered your email. If some off your people are coming up & would like to help we have a lot of resident drive way to be maned. This would get them out on the side of the track & we provide lunch. We would pleased to sign trainee licences or what every to help with accreditation. We would need to know some numbers. If you are interested please phone me at home 02 63322179. Robert Wells Ass Clerk of Course. ----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel Mackie To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, August 02, 2003 10:50 AM Subject: Bathurst Hill Climb Hello, You may remember our club from the recent CAMs state council meeting at Lithgow Workmans Club when Skylines Australia was given affiliation. Your club was there also as it is the 50th annerversary of your club. I was looking over the Cams Website and noticed that you are holding a Hill Climb at Mt Panorama and I was wondering if some of our guys might be able to come along and watch. I know that it is probably too late to enter... and possibly too late for us even to come out there... but I know of at least one member that is really keen to have a go at this event one year as am I. We will be organising some non-competitive events soon but at this stage we are looking to get along and help out at events like yours to firstly gain experience from a club that has been operating for such a long time and also to gain some official accreditations for some of our members. Hopefully we will meet in the near future, Dan Mackie Events Co-ordinator Skylines Australia - NSW

Welcome... have a look around and enjoy... don't forget to join the club (membership form located below!) for all the member benifits including discounts on some parts! Dan.

OK, So we have some good ideas... what we need is to set wome criteria... try thinking about what the club is about... what we do and also perhaps include some sponsors of the club... But I do like B-mans and Funkbrothers! Lets se if we can bring this thread back from the wasteland... now... how do I ban Duncan??? Dan.

OMG...that has gotta be the best thing that anybody has come up with yet... I would say that we put up a challenge to all SAU members... the member with the best flyer recieves a free SAU Sticker and when they are printed a free SAU t-shirt! Wadda think??? But then again I don't think anyone will every beat that!

I wonder what officials we need to run a driver education skid pan day as a club? NON-COMPETITIVE of course to try to avoid that red tape.

Eastern creek drive Day - Thursday 4th September 2003
Majanal replied to red900ss's topic in Events Archive
I'll book spots a bit closer to the date... keep posting your interest. I would imagine that cost will be $140 unless we get more than 15 drivers. I can't make this one as Jody's 21st... she would kill me if I went trackdaying on her birthday! Dan. -
Hi guys, I have spoken to Moto and booked 10 spots (based on the very slow response from you all). As a norm they need a deposit of $50 which I will collect and then send to them in one go. Total cost will be $140. (less than 15 people) Deposit need to be to me NO LATER than Next Wednesday (13/8/03) as I'll sned the deposits to Moto on Thursday. PM me for account details if you need them. I don't think I will be attending this day as I need to begin some saving for the world cup (lots of drinking/flying around the country/drinking/meeting people from other countries/drinking/kicking international rugby teams arses/drinking/screaming abuse at opposition and referees/drinking/drinking and I'll probably have a few beers along the way! Ben, Half days are quite often the best... less time for you to over heat brakes, wear out tyres, break stuff, wear yourself out etc. in fact last track day was the first time I have actually driven in every session on a full day! Also you can say to the doctor you have a dentist appiontment in the arvo and can you take a half day... the response is usually yes! Interested Drivers: Duncan (deposit 24/7/03) Jigga Cheers, Dan.

I had mine done by Jamie Waterhouse (4721 7227) at peach tree... he did my whole 100,000km service (I supplyed the timing belt though) and I think it cost about $600 all up. Have the recipts somewhere but he has always met (or been VERY close to) his quotes and has also done a good job. He once had my car for two days (Friday Arvo, Saturday and Sunday morning) looking for a problem with a miss... he eventually didn't find anything after spending most of the weekend on it (he usually only does half Saturday) and when he gave it back he said... I could not find the problem... (Pressure tested and flow tested and all sorts of things... even had the fuel pump out) when asked how much I owed him for his time he said "nothing... he didn't fix a thing." I noticed that I got a much more smooth power delivery and it felt to me like I got a power gain. I had the injectors removed when they were cleaned. I have also heard good reports about Nepean EFI and they are just off Batt street I think?

Still no word from Nissan Aus Funky... but I'd say go with that design... Nissan Aus seem to take there time in deciding on things... shame they didn't take as long deciding to stop selling the skyline locally or we would be preordering the V35 right now! -

Duncan, If there is an excess of Pit crew I'm happy to volunteer for Head Race Engineer... my credentials... I have been observing Patrick Head, Jean Toldt, and Many others... I have No actual hands on experience but I'm sure I could make some sort of contribution (good bad or intoxicated) if given the oportunity! :D:) -
the only thing wrong with the yellow R34 is that it needs to be returned to standard to be complied... a rather costly process!

So Did someone say that the prankster was going to upload some footage from this track day yesterday? -
I want an arm rest! It has ABS also!
-
No probs... it is just a well asked question.
-
Didn't mean you B-man... if you followed that suggestion then you wouldn't say anything at all!!! :P
-
Hey Staunch, Have a bit of a search by using the search button. Use Key words like GTR, Best GTR, Best Model, GTR poll and see what you come up with... if that doen't work then have a look in the General Automotive Discussion Section

Eastern Creek Drive Day Thursday 24th July, 2003
Majanal replied to Majanal's topic in Events Archive
Hey guys, Was my pleasure to organise as always. Am really hanging for the incar footage from the prankster... will it be long mate? I took my "drift" tyres off when I got home and noticed that I might have done a bit more damage than I had thought! The result of drifting turns 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 12! -
Had to go for the 34 cause you can't be going backwards into a 32 gts... and there was now 260RS Autech selection. I was tempted to select the bike... would be interesting watching you drift that one fatz! :D
