Would like real world experience. What power you have and what cooler you are running. Data logged temp information would be great.
My pick so far is the ARC Pro Twin entry M109BCNR33GT3, But comes at a premium price.
I am also interested to see what the Just Jap 120mm bar and plate intercooler performs like.
Currently I have the M073 ARC twin entry. I'm not sure if it will present too much pressure drop at 800hp worth of flow.....It's been fine for 400rwkw so far.
So Scotcher Race Fuels & Oils, is the only place in SA????
No wonder he has jacked the price up.
Improved production racing at Mallala will be running it this coming season....They will definately have it on the bowser at the track i would suspect...would make it very easy.
Don't worry we will go 1.8bar on my motor to see what they will do. Identical setup- oh actually different ecu last one was MOTEC mine will just be the PFC. Just weren't willing to push the customers.
Yep, Matt =)
The graph is for the HKS GTRS's which has an antisurge compressor cover as the only difference. The Garrett -10's most likely surge on a 3ltr! but for 1/2 the price...
I'm thinking HKS do there measurements with a very high RON fuel or at the Flywheel....having said that we made 613kw at the fly on only 22psi and BP98
I would like to see the T04Z with a .61A/R housing against a set of GTRS.
anyway the endless debate continues.
I think the best chance a single would have would be to utilise a split pulse exhaust housing with the associated twin wastegate spilt pulse manifold...then were talking a Single advantage.
According to HKS themselves the GTRS's on an Rb26 just tip the TO4Z in response.....would like to know what A/R the T04Z has on it however
And just to place some more confusion in the mix. I have attached both compressor maps. So given best possible reponse before entering the surge zone we get:
Boost GTRS GTRSx2 T04Z
.5 bar 6.5 lb 13lb 13lb
.75 bar 9 lb 18lb 17.5lb
1 bar 12 lb 24lb 21lb
1.25bar 16.5lb 33lb 25lb
1.5bar 22.5lb 45lb 29.5lb
1.75lb 26 lb 52lb 35lb
So obviouly each gtrs can spool much faster however has half the exhaust gas to do it with.
By the fact the motor has an igniter it is a Series one motor. The 4wire AFM on a series one will have 2 lots of mesh inside the AFM. I would expect no plastic or other parts to be able to get past the fly screen mesh and enter the compressor. I would however expect the loom and or ecu damaged as the owner stated.
The engine is in the car now, will soon give us a better idea on how the engine performs in real life. The turbo's were chuffing away from coming on boost so early...hopefully my HKS antisurge housing will help on my own setup. Should be very nice track car as the motor is installed in a 700kg R33 GTR
Pics of HKS exhaust to suit a R33 GTS or GTR. Can be sent interstate.
Note light scratches on underside. Some wet n dry will fix it up like new if you have the time.
Cheers matt
