  1. Yeah, theres actually 4 more, but one I can't find. The 4 are HKS, STP/TAISAN, AXIA and UNISIA. I have them all apart from the UNISIA JECS car, and there is also a Calsonic with the number 1 instead of 12. There is also one coming out of the the 91 bathurst car, due next month I think. i have already ordered one!
  2. Scotty, Don't have any spare stickers that size mate, what do you need it for, as I have a few GTR logos about 3cmx3cm from model boxes, would one of these be suitable? hakosuka - as far as i know they only made the R32 group a racing series in 1:18 diecast which all of them are covered in stickers. You could buy one of these and re-spray it I suppose?
  3. Scotty, I'll have a look tonight. I think I have a GTR logo about that size from my radio controlled car that I have. I'll let you know Chris
  4. cool! I reckon I'd be pretty shit at it now. We used to go every weekend, but I haven't been out anywere in over a year! Mainly used to go to boomers/knights because we were all generally unfit fat bastards and hated paddling for ages!!! haven't been to many other spots and surfed, but we had a trip over to Yorkes a few years back. We had a few good days at pondelowie, 5 ft ,offshore only about 6 of us out, it was heaps good. If you are going to Yorkes, check out ethel's and chinamans - it goes off there. The car has taken up alot of my time, but I'll have to get back into it a bit more. The last good surf I had was at Pt Lincoln in feb 2001, I went over there for 2 weeks. Thinking about it now makes me want to go down this weekend. Chris
  5. Matt - didn't know that you bodyboard I used to been into it heaps a few years back, but all my mates stopped going so I haven't bothered for a while. I still have all my gear, I'll have to try and get down to Victor at some stage. We used to go to knights and boomers mainly, and sometimes the far end of horseshoe bay when it got big, as it used to wedge into the beach of the rocks. We should have a cruise down to Victor before the cooler weather gets here - maybe fit in a quick surf if its any good as well!! Bummer about AIR. I would like to give it a go at some stage, I remember there was talk a while back about organizing a private day - what ever happend to that? Chris
  6. Hi all, just got back to work today, otherwise I would have posted this earlier! I have finally got my turbo in and tuned. The turbo itself is a HKS GT2510, purchased s/h from JMS. With a decent front mount intercooler (Clint32's 'old' one), and after Mark from Tilbrooks fixed up my attempted installation of a Bosch Motorsport 040 in tank pump, as well as a re-program of the stock computer, it made 198rwkW at 1 bar boost on a warmish day. Its previous best was 153rwkW with the stock turbo Very happy all up, with the car maintaining pretty well stock drivability, and a decent whack of extra grunt. In the future perhaps more boost/tuning will increase the power, but for now I am going to enjoy it how it is Big thanks to the crew at Tilbrooks doing a good job.
  7. Joel, I am running Clints old cooler, as well as a oil cooler between the radiator/cooler and my car hasn't got above halfway even with the heat. Coolant was last changed about 12 months ago, and still looks green and new. I reckon it sounds like a problem with the radiator itself, does it leak? Anyone have any suggestions what coolant is best?
  8. Got my car from there, they are OK. Know of about 5 or six people who have got cars from there, all OK But like every S/H car yard, there are always a few 'average' cars
  9. I have got quite a few you can buy die-cast 1:18 scale R34's from most hobby shops, as well as plastic kits. Diecast stuff is usually $80+ and the plastic kits can be had for about $30. i currently have 5 group A 1:18 R32's, 2 1:18 R34's, 1 1:12 (huge) palstic 32 GTR and about 10 smaller palstic skylines, great fun, and they look good - they are also cheaper than the real thng Best place to try is your local hobby store, or ebay
  10. I think (it was 6 months ago) the minimum thickness is approx 3mm for the friction plates. and overall thickness of both plates and the spacer in the middle was about 12mm. If you want to find out for sure give Adelaide Clutch Services a call (08)8234 2222, they will be able to tell you. They said mine was screwed, i didn't think it was and fitted it, and sure enough it was. They wanted about $1200+ to re-build it as well, so it can get expensive with those things. I am currently fitting a lightweight cromo flywheel and cushioned brass button clutch. Its only RWD anyway, if it was 4WD, then I would go a twin
  11. I had a OS twin put in my 32. From memory it required a new thrust bearing, which is differant to a normal Skyline one, and the bolts from your standard flywheel won't fit, you'll need to get differant ones machined up. Thats what I was told anyway Is it in good condition? Mine looked OK, and was only 1.5mm in overall thickness thinner than a as new one and it slipped after about 10mins, and had to be replaced. If it looks a bit worn, chances are its screwed, and they ain't cheap to fix
  12. I got one from Autobarn, around $70 I think. It was a Earl's part, so i reckon most decent speed shops should have one. I'd try maybe O.G Speed shop, as they had heaps of differant ones last time I was in there Chris
  13. Want to get a decent oil or water temp gauge. Must fit in Trust/Greddy 60mm guage holder. Currently have a Blitz boost gauge, with a white face, and would like to get one that matches if possible, or if anyone has matching boost/temp gauge and will take my gauge + cash for both Cheers, Chris
  14. I have approx $100 to spend and want a pillar mount for my r32 that will fit 2 jap style gauges (not a Autometer one) I'd prefer new, but I am not fussed as long as its in good condition Cheers, Chris
  15. Hi Clint, I also thought about a GTR radiator, but as you have found they seem to be the same. There was a guy at extreme horspower show last weekend from (I think, maybe someone saw it as well) Lonsdale radiators who had a nice big aluminium radiator that had SKYLINE marked on it. Didn't see a price, as there wasn't anyone at the stand. Let me know how you go, as I reckon I'll be after one once all of my bits go on, Chris PS - cooler is fantastic!
  16. Well Freebagies, you probably already know my answer HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW: I'd reckon Japan would be better, more car stuff to see
  17. GTR King - How can you call people who buy Microtech etc. cheap skates? Thats bullshit Does that make me a cheap skate when I get my computer re-mapped to suit my mods instead of buying a Motec, and what about people with Power FC's, are they cheap skates as well? I don't think so - just smart, because with most of the mods everyone has a Re-map/Microtech/Power FC is perfect We don't drive JGTC cars - just quick road cars
  18. I must admit, I thought that when it made 280 odd, I thought that it definatley had differant turbo's on it. I was under the impression that 220 was pushing them to the limit, from what I have read. But if Martin says they are stock, well its his car and I reckon we should take his word for it. From my understanding (limited), as with most modern turbos, the only thing holding the Soarer's turbos back, is the wheels falling off. With the modification to the dump pipes to the car as shown in HPI, I reckon the reduction in turbo back pressure and temperature would be immense, therefore allow the turbo's to make 1.2bar+ and still keep the wheels on them. Is this the case? Was there any testing/logging of exhaust/turbo temps done? Anyway, all I can say is that is tuned well with the mods it has and made 280 odd at the wheels on the same day, temperature etc as when most of us ran on the same dyno. Can't argue with that Matt - at least with your computer you can make adjustments, and anyway, its all about optimising what you have. Now you know what to tackle next Chris
  19. hey!, what about me - 153rwkw Great day, a big thanks to everyone who organized everything, it was excellent :uh-huh:
  20. Yeah, I'm heading up for a look. Arrive Wednesday, staying with a friend up there. You got tickets? I reckon I'll end up with general admission
  21. Sorry I didn't get to the cruise/meet. Combination of not having my car screwed back together due to me fitting a oil cooler and a dose of the flu meant I couldn't attend. I am still keen on doing a run if there is a spot available, if not I'll just stuff myself full of bread, sauce and sausages:lol: Chris
  22. don't want to race, just watch. Munro - will your beast be ready? Chris
  23. here are the pics If you want to see anymore, PM me Chris
