  1. I hope they catch him and get him for as much fraud as they can.
  2. Hey liz, how goes it? have they aprehended that loser in the uk?
  3. Hello all
  4. If you have the dosh to lash out on a motec just buy a powerfc now. Seriously, dont waste the money on a safc2 and a tune, put it aside and run with the stock ecu till you can afford an ecu, I've been driving around on the stock ecu for about 6 weeks now since putting in the turbo and it hasnt caused any problems, if anything its kept the engine and turbo safe because it runs extremely rich.
  5. Ahhh, any idea of the size?
  6. I believe some of the 95's were updated to S2 specs as they may have sold in 96. My car was built in nov1993 wasnt sold until nov1994, hence its a 1994 model.
  7. Smaller than mine? where did you get it from simon?
  8. Thats the truth. By the time I finish I would have spent about $10k (see mod list below) and if I'm lucky I might scrape into the 11's I cant wait to buy a GTR
  9. If you have a small budget, you could stick to the stock injectors, get a bigger fuel pump like a bosch 910 (both gtst-vspec and I run one of these) and use a safc2. Granted you wont be able to play with your ignition maps, you will be able to adjust fuel in and out. The car would still be quick on the road, but if you've gone to the trouble and expense of a bigger turbo you really should put in the full ecu to compliment it.
  10. the wolf also has boost control built into it elminating a spiking bleed valve or an expensive electronic boost controller I will be getting one in next week.
  11. Pauls doing 370hp on his injectors, so I dont see why I cant. The injectors are going for a clean and to be test flowed prior to being tuned. I'll be installing a wolf3d ecu next week, keep you posted on my dyno and power output.
  12. Sorry dave, no good. The car will be at SST this friday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday and wednesday.... So we'll have to put the cam gear in after the tune, so it'll have to be re-tuned from the looks.
  13. I'm making comfortably 344hp @ wheels on my stock injectors... once the tuned ecu goes in it should make 370hp around 1 bar on the turbo.

    Wheels

I'm about to buy some wheels from Donnellans, as I live in WA they are being shipped to me. I was wondering if anyone here as had any dealings with them and if they could PM me good or bad the results. Just that I have to direct debit the money instead if using a credit card and I'm always cautious so any feedback?
  15. Such as? The stock ecu throws more fuel in and less advanced timing, if anything its going to protect the engine. Granted it has a boost/fuel cut which spoils fun, but it certainly isnt going to harm the engine in any way.
  16. Actually, I wish I used a different supplier than the one I did. Nengun will get you a v-spl for around $1200 delivered to your door (if you are in perth, a bit more for eastern state poofs ) Bear in mind the vspl does not use the stock intercooler engine pipes, ie: the intake manifold pipe comes up from the other side of the engine bay (its meant to be used with the trust plenum) so you will have to do a bit of modifying if you plan on keeping the stock plenum which I would in your case as you dont need it with such a small HKS turbo. That nengun price is also about 6 months after I got mine, so it could have price dropped, either way lets just say I payed top dollar and shouldnt have. I still believe the jap cores are a much better design and flow the air better and if you can get one from negun @ $1300 it'll be cheaper or around the same as an australian one. As you can see from my signature below i've upgraded the turbo to suit my intercooler and now all thats left is the wolf3d ecu and a tune It will be going in this friday to have the following done over the course of tuesday and wednesday (cos monday is a public holiday and its stuffed up my plans). Injectors removed and sent for cleaning and flow testing, re-fit injectors, quick compression test to see if there is any low compression before we tune it and lean on the engine, change the spark plugs, fit wolf3d and tune it I hope to hit 370rwhp @ 1bar or less Was supposed to be fitting a HKS exhaust cam gear today, but rev210 hasnt called me... hopefully I can get it put in before the ecu tune otherwise I'll have to go back for another tune.
  17. Selling it and buying a gts25t will actually be cheaper than trying to turbo the gts. Basically I would do a complete engine transplant, as the rb25de runs higher compression than the rb25det. The price difference between gts and gts25t, when I bought mine, was bugger all $2k max. You'd be hard pressed to find an engine alone for $2k.
  18. me three... as in a set for me too, thanks
  19. Is that the c-red one? if so ask jeff.
  20. Most people use a 20 or 25G exhaust housing on their rb25's, I have a 16cm^2 td06-20g and I find that a bit laggy, I would suggest the 10 or 12cm^2 housing's.
  21. Isnt it their drift car? If so it'd cop a fair bit of high end thrashing on the track. Drift cars get extremely hot, hence oil coolers, good venting etc etc
  22. His sales skills are truely sad. If bagging out the other competition and other ecu's in favour of the ones they offer then I'm sorry, but that does not make a good salesperson. I think speedworks reputation is on the down from what it may have been a bit back.
  23. Heh heh, I didnt want to mention names
  24. Trust turbo's are sleeve bearing not ball bearing
