hi all, just fitted the turbotech boost controller an after several test adjustments got the psi set desired ( around 9-10psi ). anywayz once boost starts kicking in it is all good reaches peak boost very fast but acceleration is very bad now and is choking and spluttering ridiculously, this got badder the more i increased the boost. i followed the picture of the installation of the particular boost controller but can't work out what is acusing this. i have a 3" mandrel bent exhaust high flow cat and cannon no other modifications. i have a feeling i may just need a good tune as it has not had one yet, i feel it may be choking on accessive uneeded fuel in the air fuel ratio????? please help- if tune is required where on the goldy, south brisbane are a should i go???? smidy

yeah right had me mechanic have a listen he reckons probly just the turbine spinning on idle??????? does this happen while idling or only under boost??? just don't like that word "probly"

hi all just changed my power steering pump on my r33 gts-t as rear seal was gone in it. not a mechanics arsehole if ya get the drift(don't attempt shit) but i want to learn more so had a go myself with some guidance from my mechanic. anywayz i now have this very fine whistle noise almost like a sensor alarm noise or somethin coming from air intake in my airbox?? haven't noticed it b4 and am wondering if this is the same with other skylines in general???/ please help- just turn your car over and see if there is a slight whistling sound in the airbox?? smidy

i don't know much as you guys about all these diagnosticts, but from my experience i had with rpm being unstable and "jumpy" and also rich fuel consumption- i found i had several very small cracks in the cooling bars of my standard intercooler where they join against the side chambers, this obviously had air leaks in the flow of things. it caused idle variation from 800rpm - 1400rpm roughly, choking,spluttering when higher acceleration was giving and also stupid fuel consumption. i don't have any where near the amount of mods as everyone but figure may help with similar problems everyone has had. i purchased off ebay another standard intercooler ( no cracks in this one and only $21.65 inc. postage ), fiitted it and presto no more shitfull skyline. rpm is shitloads more consistent, no lag or splutter in higher acceleration and fuel consumption has improved, and yes no bov!! am going to purchase apexi power fc as i can afford it so when more mods are added i can tune accordingly. hope this may shed some light or brighten it for others.

somethin different ah??? would prefer to probly get it professionally done as i am not the most knowledged person when it comes to pullin apart my power streeing pump, was guna take it off and drop it off somewhere if any one knows????? keen to know how the copper "goop" goes though???

hi everyone, my powersteering pumps rear seal shit itself on my r33 gts-t it has 81000km on the odometer. should i get the seals redone or get a complete new unit. if a new unit or second hand one is recommended from a wreckers, any suggestions of where to get one??? i know about nizzpro in north goldy area but i am in yamba on far north coast of nsw anywhere closer would be great or can get it posted if not conveinient. cheers all smidy

peoples been there good 6-7 times, shit yeah its full of big blocks and f@#kin blown big blocks. several of me m8s at browns plains go there one of the the lads has a very pimp hq ute, 350chev wit 383 stroker kit, 2 stage power glide does burnouts out 140km an hour, no handbrake!!! and runs 9.5secs or less all day on the quarter, AND theirs no nos yet. he is a mate so i will talk it up but very fine machine! i say what ever floats ya boat. thats why i have a skyline!! alot of the guys cars are pride and joys and headturners and theres also the cocks there wit their heaps of crap, dribblin shit about rice burners when their pussbuckets are lucky to pass rego!! just thought i'd say not everyone is up themselves but their is always one in a crowd!

guys just been through this recently, different approach but may have similar dramas. had a few small cracks in the intercooler bars on the join where they meet the entry/exit chambers( standard intercooler on r33 gtst ). was lucky to get 350km/tank not squirtin it too much, then got another off ebay in good nik whacked it in an "bob's ya uncle" bonus km's around 400+/tank (haven't had the chance to calculate 100% but you know when theres a difference). was also expeirencing bad flat spots in acceleration climb through gears if you punched it to hard, b4 noticing the intercooler problem. reason i highlight these points is check all things for air leaks to be on the safe side before $$$ expenditures. slightest air leak holes create big dfferences. hope this may shed some light or kms on you fuel drainers! i have also changed the o2 sensor and plugs to make sure. next thing to fine tune it is a power fc when the cash is handy !!!

thats it give us skylines half a chance they wouldn't have a chance of issuing a fine cause they could catch us. if only!!!!

hi everyone, just received a revenue raising cocky cop effort last night an got a fine for not having my headlights on and 2nd fine for driving/fog lights on at wrong time!! please can some one tell me facts about these little buggers as i will be contesting this at court. my fog lights are duller than my normal headlights yet when i put my headlights on with the fog lights i get flashes left right and centre , yet when the fog lights are only on never get a flash what so ever . i have passed many a local cop at night with just the fog lights on and never been hassled yet. the car is pretty standard so it doesn't stick out like dogs balls to coppers, just got a power trippin wanker of a cop last night could'nt get me for anything else, wasn't even speedin, and he forgot to do a DUI test which he stated he was going to do!!! if thats of any benifit at court!! any help would be great as long as it is factual or possibly u have been through this bullshit before. don't through your to cents worth in please just chasing advice!!

with the power fc is it as easy as unplugging the standard ecu and plugging in the power fc and program from there, or is there shitloads of wiring and autoelectrical work to be done, then program?
