Might be able to help ya out when my car arrives(r33 gtr v-spec) Not rego or complied till mid to late July though.standard gtr rims in perfect condition!

Haven't got the car yet due to arrive in early July complied and registered. Ben said there was 39,000km with history so am assuming there is it was noted on the auction sheet also a aftermarket nismo dash changed at 21,500and now has 17,650 km on. There is also the usual tell tale signs of age like if interior wear is bad etc which is zero to none.

Yeah m8 was an auction vehicle, was sent heaps of pics before auction to see condition of vehicle under body, engine bay, paint, interior and also highlighting any imperfections where ever. Then make a decision accordingly if I wanted to bid or not and if so my limit. Thought it would go for a high price so said a certain amount and got it for several thousand less(Aussies dollars) so very happy with price. Got a heap more photos when car was at shipping docks before it left too. Missed out on a few before I got this car but probly for the right reasons. Auction sheet was translated and given an opinion by Ben And checked over by contacts in japan.

1 for J-spec, just got it 2 weeks ago, seen heaps of pics and looks great, low kms, great price, cant wait to see it and drive it!

nice car... keep in mind you are looking at about $5-7k on top of car price for import duty,GST,Shipping costs, custom costs and compliance. looks to be at a dealer there, generally auction cars will be cheaper also as thats where most of the dealers get em.

dont know where you got 1FOB = .56AUD, but FOB does mean 'Free on Board' and 1AUD equates to what ever the going YEN rate is at the time of money exchange which at the moment is about 95 yen, when I paid for my GTR 2 weeks ago I got an exchange rate of 99.38 YEN through ozforex international money transfer company, they pay a much better transfer rate than banks and dodgy joints like western union, and very helpful through the whole process! If I went through a bank to transfer the money I would have ended up paying an extra $600!

boost controller is in cab like turbo timer style control module by the looks, not sure where connected in engine bay yet as only seen photos. so basically restore to factory and wipe clean the idea of customizing your car to your desire and this being the whole point of enjoying owning a skyline!! F$$k i have and always will hate cops!!

sux to hear your story freshr32, had a 33 gts-t stolen on cheveron bout 5 years back, no alarm not knowledged about the theft level down there at the time!! hope the future brings you more joy and positivity for your skyline! Importing a 33 gtr v-spec as we speak and will be seeing Chris first thing after compliance!!

hey guys, just a question about mod plating as i'm about to land and comply a 33 GTR v-spec from japan and all this talk of police concerns me as i'm just getting my licence back again and do not wish to lose it through defects or some weak as piss excuse from corrupt, jealous,power trippin cops cause i own an import that would flog your bombadore cop car. Question: if I get a mod plate for the car after compliance is this a sure stop from getting a defect on anything or is compliance enough to justify the car is roadworthy and legal and not defectable? The imported car comes with stainless exhaust turbo back,HKS dome style(not pod style) air filters, pillar mount boost gauge with a spare gauge holder to fill also( the moulded style pillar mount not just bolted to the pillar), tein coilovers, looks like a Blitz electronic boost controller too from photo. The rest of the car is standard even still has original tape deck in it. Thanks all

just won a r33 GTR v-spec through J-spec 2 weeks ago at auctions and is at the docks in japan if not on its way as we speak! if you wana know anything happy to help. message me if ya want. J-spec has done well with what i got and would recommend talking to Ben there, he wont stuff you round or rip you off!!

so far without contacting anyone im thinking Dan @ ERD in Yatala from reading past posts or Gavin at Autotech from this and past posts plus the harbour town thing sounds great, take the misses there to blind the fact im spend another thousand on my skyline ...booyeah!! cheers Brandon!! Could anyone suggest a Tuner/Mechanic in brisy area that is knowledgeable, trustworthy and reasonable if that is possible?? I'm sure thats not to much to ask! Hi Peeps, Just bought a GTR 33 from japan auctions, will arrive in about 2-3months, can't frigin wait!!! Anyhows there are a few heavy marks/scratches on the bonnet that will probly cause it to have to be resprayed before touched up and then would like to also get a major detail done to paint probly, to ensure an even clean colour and shine across entire car. It is midnight purple the colour and i am located in brisy so if anyone could shed some light or experience on this, would be appreciated.....Thanks!

yep they definetly wind the clocks back in japan too...but they have governement requirements that every 2 years they are to have a road worthy inspection same as here but all odometers of cars are recorded and kept on file for when they sell the last 2 roadworthy's are available to varify kms. so if you get one that has 60,000 say and last inspection it had 86,000 for example well it has obviously been tampered with and its yur call if you wana buy , so at least there is some way of telling and of course the auction grade of a vehicles condition as well to see it is good, bad or had accident history also.

because theres so many great Gtr's already with sooo little km's cause theres sooooo much tampering with odometers. Not saying they are all like that but most sellers, private and dealer can provide little info about the importation of the car with original history from japan or at least the derego from japan with the last 2 roadworthy's done showing previous history's km's in japan. Call me fussy which i know I am when I am looking at spending my money on what i want, but when ya taking about some cars that have had 50,000km plus wound off em it makes me more confident with a history of the car from the japanese government documentation at least not just someones word of mouth. And at the moment i dont get me licence back till mid june so cant drive one till then anyway. figure doing this wont tease me to have one sitting in the garage till then and wanting to drive it, and i'm guna get something with trustworthy history and generally save some coin. I will say there are some great buys out there i've been studying them for 3 plus months now,but this is how I wish to get mine.

Hi all, would like to know if anyone has improted a car throgh J-Spec imports in melbourne? i live in brisy and am about to sign up to import a r33 GTR with them and would like to know if they are recommended by anybody. Seems very fair and easy to deal with? Cheers
