Hey all, Just wanted to document something out of the ordinary that happened yesterday just before closing up at work. I had pulled my car out of the workshop and parked it in one of our bays so I could start bringing in other vehicles and wrapping up. About 30mins-45mins later a police twin cab D-MAX pulled up out the front of my workshop - single female driver. She was in the car for a bit but I noticed her looking around and then get out and open up the back tray of her vehicle. I thought nothing of it... That was until the boys from the shop next to me informed me today that she got out a camera and started photographing my car. She was out the front for no longer than 15-20mins then as we walked outside to leave she did a U-turn and drove away. To my recollection I have no reason to be of interest to police especially seeing as my car has just come out of the workshop after 7-8months in the build and I have a clean drivers record. It was driven twice that day, once to the autoelectricians then once back - no cops in sight, following me or pulling me over. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or something similar? It's playing on my mind as with the new hooning laws, I'm wondering if they're documenting imports and adding them to a database on their systems.

The time when you, as members, have the opportunity to voice your opinions, in a room of your peers. The 2013/14 SAU QLD Annual General Meeting and Committee Election will be held on Tuesday, the 27th of August. We will be arriving at 6:30pm and the formalities will begin at 7pm sharp. At this meeting we will be discussing the changes that have happened over the last 6 months as well as looking at what is planned for the future. All current Committee members will step down on 27/08/2013. You can not nominate yourself, a peer will nominate you and another will second the motion. All Committee positions are up for voting and nomination. However it will only be the Executive Committee who gets voted in on the night of the AGM by the existing member base. The Executive committee will then pick the general committee as they see fit from the members who are nominated here. It is wholly the duty of the Executive Committee to pick, add, delete, and change the General Committee as they see fit. Nominations can only be made by financial members of SAU QLD Please note that the General Committee does not need to be nominated here to be selected... However please use this thread as a good opportunity to make yourself known to the new Executive Committee so as they can pick their General Committee quickly. If you would like to be involved on the Committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a Committee role - please nominate them. For a nomination to be valid it must be seconded by a current Club Member and the person must accept the nomination. Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. On my way to work this morning I got hit with some school traffic and decided to find an alternate route, and I found a cracker of a road (even if it is only a short one). The road was a bit wet this morning from some light showers overnight, and with some multiple surfaces it creates some unexpected surprises. Please note that this review is taken within legal road limits. I do not encourage 'hooning' or performing illegal acts on public roads. Please respect the road rules at all times and take note of advised speeds (marked in yellow) before making your own judgement. Protheroe Rd - Forgan Rd, Cashmere (Speed Limit: 80kph) When heading from Protheroe Road, the first left hander (40kph) is slightly banked and has an open rough asphalt surface. The apex of the corner doesn't have much grip when wet, so be careful not to hit it too quickly. As the road opens you get a nice high speed winding section up to the top of the hill before a set of blind esses (50kph) dropping down a 16% grade. The esses tighten and open up again, but be careful not to tackle too quickly as there is a solid concrete gutter on the outside that's going to make a mess of your rims if you come over the crest with too much speed. As you arrive at the end of the road keep to the inside line - the road narrows over a blind crest with loose gravel on the side of the road. If you have any good cruise roads please share them. I'll endeavour to keep updating this first post with your favourite roads to make it easy for everyone to find them.

I owned a R32 GTS-T about 6 years ago and just two weeks ago I finally became the owner of a fairly clean R32 GTR. Hey all, I'm selling my Skyline after 4 years, to get myself into a better financial situation (no sob story about going overseas here). It's Burgundy/Wine Red with 80800~ KM's on the clock. 1 owner since Import. Granny spec., so you won't have any prior modifications (read: Headaches) to sort out, except for a front Strut Brace. Which also means that this car is a blank canvas if you want to do any of your own mod's, as it has less KM's then a lot of other R33's out there. Excellent condition mechanically, and has had recent repairs/maintenance as listed below: Work Completed: Sway Bar Mount Bushes Tappet Gasket Seals Coolant and Brake fluid flushed and replaced Gearbox and Diff., oil flushed and replaced. Front Light Bulbs (Low Beam) All back light bulbs (Brakes, Indicators, Reverse) Full Timing Belt Kit All Power Steering and Air Con Belts Replaced Oil Filter and Fully Synthetic Oil Fuel Filter Front Brakes replaced (Back brakes are still good for a while) Clutch replaced December 2011 Flywheel Machined and replaced more recently (13/06/12) Power Steering Hoses replaced (These were the only thing needing to be repaired/replaced to get roadworthy certificate) Battery replaced in the past year with Long Life Gel Cell 2 brand new front tyres (back tyres were replaced within the last 6 months, extremely grippy KU36 Kumho's) Full Wheel Alignment and Balance Drivers Door U Lock replaced Drivers Side Power window motor replaced Drivers side door controls replaced External Automatic Aerial replaced and working. So what else? It's GREAT! Super reliable. Steering is responsive, power is great for stock well maintained machine. It accelerates well and stops well with the new brakes, and it turns solidly. Inside has been kept as immaculate as I can (I never eat or drink in my car) although there are some small scratches where people have gotten in and out. Has only ever been run with Premium Octane as long as I've had it. Panels are straight, but roof and rear wing has noticeable fading and deterioration of paint (see pictures). Bonnet slightly worn in parts, as well as the right mirror and a small de-lamination on the passenger door, plus wearing/opening marks on drivers door edging. FANTASTIC mechanical order, needs a little TLC on the paint, but with recent maintenance it will serve you without a hiccup for quite a while. I have a Gumtree Ad and a CarSales ad. [QLD] FS 18x9.5+12 x4 Black Volk TE37s (Genuine) Hi All, My new wheels have arrived at customs in Sydney so I've decided that the TE's are now for sale. Rims were originally anodized bronze and have been repainted black. They have been used for about 2000km's since being refinished. Few little marks on the paint from tire fitting but absolutely no guttering or dings. I still have some of the original rays stickers from the barrels but anyone that knows me or has read my threads on here would know I don't buy fake shit. Come with brand new black alloy Project Kics valves fitted and 3 of the original Rays valves in black. Also have 4 brand new unopened Rays TE37 sticker kits in blue which I haven't fitted as I may keep the wheels and color change if I can't get a decent price for them. Falken FK452 225/40/ZR18 tyres have been fitted all round and are still probably around 95%. They've also only done around 2000kms. I've posted up pics of them fitted on my S14 but if any serious buyers want detailed pics I can arrange this on the weekend. Import monster has a bare set of these in bronze with some of the stickers missing and a few marks through the anodizing on the lips for $3000 and I have seen other bare sets privately for sale in used condition for $2500 (Even some sets of 17s in same width and offsets) My set includes: Brand new Genuine Rays TE37 sticker kits x 4 still in packet which cost me $100 Project Kics new black aluminium valves fitted which cost around another $100 3x original black aluminium Rays valves (one has been misplaced) Near new Falken FK452 225/40ZR18 fitted all round (top of the range Falken road tyre) which cost me $1000 fitted and balanced. That being said, when I initially purchased the manifold I was less than satisfied with the condition of the cast and port job so I spent some time squaring ports, de-dagging, filing and painting it. The result is a much nicer job than I first received. There is one section on the manifold (see pictures) that didn't allow the paint (VHT Matte black exhaust) to dry correctly as there was some slight defect in the casting.
