  1. only 400,000 more than you mentioned. not much when you are in this price range. Just buy it.
  2. Depends how old it is I suppose. Mine just covered but got another 12 months from the dealer. My last Nissan was transferable.. was great!
  3. Looks great.. If I get the new GTR, Id want to put that on for sure.. would be terrible to park tho.
  4. Well, after owning it for only 2 months, the alternator died and the Idrive had problems... A car with less than 18,000kms.. Took it to BMW to get the stuff fixed. Came to almost $1,500 for alternator and new battery. Glad it was under warranty.
  5. Yes please get this guy a car! This is worse than Prison Break.. 4th season and still no ending. Are they really that much cheaper? I spent 4 months searching all Auctions for my 6 and the prices vs. the unknown didnt end up worth while. I finally found a car from a dealer and took the bullet train down to Yamaguchi to purchase it. It ended up almost the same price but with 12 months warranty. Something to factor in... the warranty. When something breaks in a Bimmer, and they do break cos they are shiet, they are costly..
  6. Seriously, the boys here have been giving great advice. I suppose you want to hear what you want to hear.... Ill say it again, if you have 1 million, spend 1 million on a car. I wouldnt get a loan just to buy a car that is meant to be an investment.
  7. Yep what he said again minus the headache and house in JP. I think what everyone wants to know is when this is all going to move forward....
  8. Buy what you can with the cold hard cash you actually have. You probably dont know this, but the 1st month I got here, I got a GDB STi. Didnt really like it but needed something to learn the 'ins & outs' of owning a car in Tokyo. Sold it 6 months later and still made a 40% profit. Only JP, this is my 3rd car owning and Im still learning... you havent even bought a car from Japan. Something to consider before taking out a loan..
  9. Yep 2 blades. And then there is the Run Flats. Remebering, you cant cut corners and put aftermarket stuff on the car. I changed the suspension hoping it would be as cheap as Japanese ones... Nope.. Parts are <¥300,000. Labour to change, ¥60,000 Dont know what year it is. Just know its SMGII in that funny yellow. Why worry about financing. Buy what you can afford in cash. If it means a different car, so be it. I know alot of cars in that price range that will make a nice profit. And looking at the % of return, its probably better in return.
  10. Speaking of BMWs and Ferraris.... Can anyone name the 2 Ferraris next to my 6?
  11. Whats he said I have IDrive! Actually, I havent really looked to far into that. Worst case scenario, Ill change it. It doesnt bother me much as I personally like the car. But if it came down between a BMW or a MB, my advice would be to go with the BMW because; 1.Stronger resale value in Aus. 2.Younger target market. If I may ask, what is your actual budget. Remembering it would have to be purchased in cash without a loan. Spoke to a friend in Aus who actually has one. He bought it new and it has 20,000kms on it now. Says he only expects aroudn 90K for it today. Also think about the maintainance on the car. My family has a E60 5 Series and just the wiper alone was $500 from the dealer!! Also, I wouldnt worry about cars with no shaken. Doesnt mean anything. They just put it on when you buy it. Just means an extra 150~200,000.
  12. You can also get a personal loan but as you can imagine, there are limits of around 20~30K. Ferraris dont come in RHD at all here. Some MB come in both forms, and others only LHD. For example, a 350SL is available in left and right hand drive but the majority of them are left. The 500SL however only in LHD.
  13. If so, just buy a Japanese car that some young foolish guy will buy. Japanese cars are extra special if its an Import. European cars are not. Sometimes you have to sacrifice what you like for what is smart. Dont have to listen to me. Use your own judgement. I just wished the 360 Modenas here came in RHD
  14. When they apply for a car loan, they will have to provide specifics. Im certain that to cover themselves the credit company wants a local car to minimize headaches. Also insurances comes into play when they apply for the loan... and again, more hassles. 10-15 sounds good in theory and I hope you get it.. but for me, a 60K layout with all the risk only for 10-15K i(f that), seems not worth the time or trouble. For example, I really wanted an AMG CLS but I knew that I would only expect to get 20K if I was lucky enough to move it. Remembering also that MB buyers are older and wiser than your usual Nissan buyer. They would easily pay another 20K for a local car and would stay away from Imports. Whats a good car? For starters, I wouldnt buy a 22B. You need something that you will like with maximum profitability and minimum risk and storage time. Do your research. Its exciting, like buying stocks! I got mine because even if I dont sell it, Id be happy to keep it with my family. So I dont really need to sell it fast.
  15. Before you do anything, make sure you consider all the hidden cost and potential risk involved. Apart from what youve mentioned, you might want to consider the following: 1.Dealers in Australia will only take any BMW or MB for 50% of its trade in value. (Ive personally asked when I was back home) 2.Full comprehensive insurance in JP will be somewhere around 200,000~300,000 for a car of that value depending... (Mine is 490,000) 3.You will be looking at 20~35% tax ++ for something like that and, unlike Japanese Cars, it will be impossible to lie about the value given its value in Australia. Now you have a car that owes you around, say... $65K. You want to sell it for 80 which 15~20K less than local cars.... How can you convince someone who will pay that much to justify a car with no warranty or local history. Adding to this, their loan will probably not be approved because of its history and lack of value... Btw, your carpark will have to be upto 2kms from your address on your Alien card. Just something to consider.. Good luck should you get something.
  16. Sorry for the newbie question, my system has vista. If I reinstall XP, will I lose all my files? Also, if a system has XP and XP is reinstalled because of problems, will all file go too?? thanks

  20. Surely 190 a year is nothing for a 34 gtr owner Here is my input: VSPEC II (my personal choice) GTR34 ANDZ ASIAN (lol) 1II1I11 (even you took a few looks to figure it out!) XXXIV (34 in Roman Num) R34VII
  21. I know... Was at Super Autobacs on Sunday and the Endless Demo 34 GTR was there. Didnt even get a second look from people. :laughing-smiley-014:
  22. Since the last one is a little high on its milage and almost 4 years old, though Id start a third one. This time, lets try to a post quick pic (unless it shows where the car is stored or parked) to improve this thread. Again, Ill start with post #1.... Spotted: R35 GTR cutting through traffic on the way to Yokohama. I know its not in SA but youll have to let me bend the rules this one time
  23. Would you tatoo your name in English? If not, then probably not wise to do it in another language. But anyway, there is no Kanji available. The translation above is correct and its it Katakana.
  24. But unlike Adam, I didnt doubt you because of jealousy or the fact you were first to post a drive, I somewhat doubt him because of the BS he has been spinning for the last 5 years of knowing him.
