Are you using your SIM from oz or have you bought a SIM from there? Unfortunately with bigpond, as Ryan mentioned, you cannot send emails, only receive them and creating a gmail account is the easiest way around it. However, There is one other way around it which can sometimes work. You'll need to make the outgoing server that of whichever network you are using overseas eg. If your phone is using a Vodafone server, change your outgoing server to smtp.vodafone.net.au (being overseas, the "net.au" bit will be different). Some networks like Optus change the "smtp" bit and use mail.optusnet.com.au. Again, this may or may not work. Bigpond is one of those ISPs that are dicky to use when you're overseas. http://www.wiseinternet.com.au/support/Outgoing-Mail-Server-Settings.aspx

Not necessarily; as Div mentioned, it depends on the HDMI version. Most HDMI compatible hardware these days is HDMI1.3 and above. All in all, even though DVI is old tech, it's still very much commonly used with today's PC monitors and graphics cards anyway. If you're hesitant about buying it off eBay, just review the seller's feedback and if they're all good, then go for the purchase

That's right! The new port will do nothing different. It's all just to boost sales of new peripherals. It's an ultimate business decision. They'll introduce this new port for the next few years and then change it again when the time is right. I've said it before, Apple's marketing and business strategy is ingenious. You could literally sell a piece of stinky, brown shit and if it's marketed properly, you'll make sales and thus profit. But as far as phones go, I use an iPhone for its simplicity and smoothness. Mum uses a galaxy s2 and I find it less responsive than my iPhone. And most importantly, I use a pc at home and the iPhone can access porn just as easy/quick without issue or any tweaking necessary.

At the end of the day Apple is a business and business is not just about "keeping the consumer happy". More importantly, and just like most (if not, all) large corporations, it's about keeping the shareholders happy. After all, they gotta keep their stock prices on the high, don't they? This port change will also fark it up for those people who've bought big name docking stations. Those Bose ones don't come too cheap.

I think for games that were banned/edited (L4D, MK9, to name a couple) they will have to go through the classification process again in order to receive the correct rating. It does not make sense to automatically change to an R18+ rating without this occurring.

It can be done in the options menu of GT5. By default, it's set to 50% FFB. Probably try drop it to 20-30%.

I've been in the same boat lately too. Had to make time just to play mp3 but it was worth it. The story is awesome, and mixed with the great gameplay and soundtrack. It's just an all round cool game.
