  1. Feeling your pain, dude. The insurance company has been quite helpful, so fingers crossed it's a smooth process in getting your beast repaired. Since her insurance will be paying for the fix, I think you can take it to your preferred repairer and it'll be all sorted.
  2. The lower back panel and floor panel have been pushed in, as well as damage to the LHS rear quarter A bit difficult to see but in the pic, you can just make out the offset of the boot to the body. Since the other douchebag had no insurance and I have to go through my own cover, I'm now required to obtain quotes from different panel beaters, as oppose to just taking it to my preferred place. The guy was tailgating me as I approached a round-about. I could tell he was too close but it was either I kept driving and get t-boned from another car going around or stop in the hope he'd stop too If people have no insurance, then why do they drive so erratically? So stupid
  3. ^^^ This ^^^ And also this
  4. I was also surprised when they told me this. I checked again to make sure but apparently this is the case; there will be no affect on premium or rating. I too would like to know this.
  5. Sounds good - I hunger some tempura Yesterday I got rammed from behind by a guy in a Lancer, then we exchanged numbers . . . . . . But on a serious note, he has no insurance and cannot speak very good English (been in the country only ten months). Luckily my insurance said they will wave my excess if I take down his details - also, since I'm not at fault, it will not affect my premium or rating Still a pain in the arse having no car for a while.
  6. Samsung are releasing their 4K monitor line-up. Samsung U28D590D 28in UHD 4K Monitor Despite the usual "marketing" ploys, actual specs of the monitor are quite impressive. What caught my eye is the Billion colour palette and 1ms response time
  7. There's been talk lately that more games will begin to better utilise the additional cores due to the new consoles now having 8 cores. Anyway, food for thought.
  8. Anyone going to this tonight? Nerd Nite Melbourne
  9. It's tradition now. Your article is much more believable too.
  10. They've included everything people would hate: - EA buying Half Life - Integrate it with mobile and consoles - Free to Play EPIC prank!
  11. A list of PS4 games scheduled for release in 2014 Most are obviously Indy games but a fair few potentially good AAA titles too.
  12. So there's a new graphics card announced... NVidia Titan Z "Nvidia has revealed its latest ultra high-end graphics card, dubbed the Titan Z. It packs two of the company's top-end GK110 GPUs onto a single board - the same chip that powers Titan Black, the fastest single GPU graphics card on the market today. We're looking at a mammoth 12GB of GDDR5 memory (6GB per GPU) married up with a total of 5760 CUDA cores - 2880 per chip. It's unclear right now exactly how fast the chips run: Nvidia's last dual-GPU product - the GeForce GTX 690 married up two GTX 680s onto a single board, but saw clock-speeds reduced in order to fit within a reasonable power/heat profile. Nvidia says that the Titan Z is rated at eight teraflops, while a single Titan Black ranks at 5.1TF, strongly suggestive of a downclock. However, while Nvidia isn't talking clock-speeds, it is known that the Titan Z uses the fastest 7GHz GDDR5 the firm has available."
  13. Is the Garage Cafe still around? I guess the main issue is finding something central, where there's plenty of parking - would a place in Melbourne Central work?
  14. Thanks, I figured that may be the case. Also +1 for monthly meet.
  15. Was there plenty of this? On another note, has a place for this weekend's dyno day/BBQ been organised? It would be good to catch up with some members - been a while. The 2014 events page still shows the place as TBC.
  16. Infamous: SS is definitely one of the better games on PS4. The graphics are super detailed with excellent lighting and particle counts. The sound is extremely dense with the inclusion of real time dynamic sounds, as oppose to looping sound effects. Gameplay is mostly smooth - though it uses an unlocked frame rate so can feel a bit juddery sometimes. Unfortunately I've found it to be a bit repetitive as far as side missions go but this is a minor observation in an otherwise awesome game. Much like the previous Infamous games, the story is quite interesting as it contains a lot of undertones to real life political situations (e.g. government survelence). The moral decisions you make also affect the way your character evolves as either Hero or Infamous. Use of the PS4 controller touchpad (to perform open door actions and scanning your finger prints) and light bar (slowly gets brighter blue or red depending on the more closer you are to becoming a Hero or Infamous, respectively) has been incorporated as an additional novelty. If you have a PS4, this is a must have game. You will not be disappointed. EDIT - This game came out on my birthday and was given as a gift
  17. Downloaded it on the PS4. It's pretty fun game - will take a bit of practice to get good at it. Every time you take down another plane/tank, there's always that sense of satisfaction. Now that the systems are architecturally similar, there's also talk that they're going to have cross-platform play between the PS4 and PC
  18. The FIFA on the PS4 and XBone (possibly also on PC) uses the EA Ignite engine and plays differently compared to the current gen consoles; in my opinion it's muuuuuuuch better and fluid, and the players actually do what you want them to. For the first time ever since FIFA '99, I can't blame the game due to poor mechanics whenever I stuff up. I won't comment on PES - haven't played it in a long time.
  19. A mate had pre-ordered one and decided he didn't want it; so I bought it instead I think they're all sold out ATM and you may have to wait till December to buy one. The JB in my area is sold out until Feb 2014… There are plenty of xbones in stock. It's also a pretty good system if you wanna go next gen sooner than later.
  20. So I've ended up getting a PS4 Verdict so far = FU CKING AWESOME Everything just works so smoothly. The games load super quick (even with the stock hdd) and it's just an all round fun toy. I've bought it with Killzone: Shadow Fall, and despite the reviews, I can't get over how awesome the game is for a launch title. The camera voice control (although limited in function compared to the kinect) works flawlessly. A couple of mates have the xbox one. The kinect is really cool and user friendly. Being able to surf the net while playing is pretty good.
  21. It was an awesome game. I've just finished playing so got a few hours into it. I've just unlocked the online Lester mission.
