ChrisB, that is a good question! Depends on the condition too. Are you joking around or actually going to try for it? It's worth a mint in parts alone of course.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2004-Nissan-Stagea-NM35-ARX-Four-250t-Not-Complied-or-Registered-/121288041437?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1c3d54a3dd&_uhb=1 Scotty, I know you already have a wreck, but seriously... !!!!
  4. Just as a side note here.... What is Altona like in general for car theft etc?? I'm asking because I am thinking of moving out that way from Elwood. Compared the cost on an online insurance quote and for my cheap fire and theft insurance was only like $50 per year more.....
  5. I got my M35 through J-Spec and, being totally new to importing, I was VERY pleased with the communication, willingness and outcome of the whole process. Ben knew what I wanted and we searched for a couple of weeks with not really any luck, he suggested a couple of cars that were slightly off my list and I wasn't really too keen on those.. Then, the day came with 3 good cars up all at once. I didn't get the two in my spec.. but he told me that I needed to consider this other one (Blue, which I really didn't want at the time) and pointed out that it was particularly good example. I checked it out, it was easily the best car of the lot (and have barely seen anything that compares to it since for cost and condition) so I went for it. Now I LOVE the colour and still have the best car off the list... CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH!
  6. Yes Lifted, been on eBay for a while. what's worse is that they are REALLY nice wheels for the right car. and you can't get that stuff here. I was even getting tempted to put them back on my stag.. Anyways.
  7. These are 4 of the wheels that were taken. JDM VENERDI 19" Chrome. Likely to be TOTALLY unique in VIC. Been trying to sell them for the past couple of months... Anyone seeing them, PLEASE let myself or Scotty know. they are 5x114.3 so will fit ford or Jap wheels.
  8. I think logically, the most effective way to address this issue would be to create (read "add") "C34 Specific" and "M35 Specific" Sub-Categories. This will allow the stuff that is indeed unique to one or the other to be found and discussed with minimal frustration, whilst still allowing for the combined "Stagea" joy we all already enjoy. Justification: Being new to Stags, and only ever having an M35, Finding helpful info on my car is often made rather difficult by the crossover of comments and parts and preferences and so on. Not just isolated to this thread or that thread, but also in the thread itself... like wheel fitment, or oils, or .. Bah, you know what I mean. It would prevent having to clumsily use the search function and hope that you referred to the thing you want exactly right, and, kids... it just makes sense!!!
  9. Whilst I am here.. does anyone know the part number or coinciding model (Tiida, X-Trail etc) of the rear license plate lights? I want to get a reverse camera to fit.
  10. I did my wiper blades recently. Main thing with rear is to make sure that when you trim it down, there is something to hold the 'rubber' in place and prevent it simply sliding off the end, as the wiper arm holds the entire spine of the blade .... if that makes sense. reason I say this is because it took me two lots of blades to find one that didn't just slip right off the end :S
  11. It's a shame to have to be doing this, but the wheels are now going for $650 Someone take them off my hands and help pay my insurance excess from theft attempt on my Stag please!!!
  12. OK kids, really need these gone, PRICE DROP! $850 ONO. do it!
  13. Alright, so it's early price-drop time. Seeing as the Gumtree ad is causing me to get Phishing fake PayPal emails... I will hope that SAU members are friendlier! Down to $1000 the set!! Inspection welcome with notice (as long as Scotty says ok) Hampton Park, Melbourne.
  14. Josh, those details are in the original post...... "5x114.3,.... 19x8.5 (all 4) and approx +30 offset."
  15. These are the 19" JDM VENERDI wheels that just came off my recent import. The finish is immaculate! they look like they were taken out of the plastic yesterday. No hint of rash. Marks in the picture are just from rain last night, these are real head-turners. Standard Ford/Japanese fitment. 5x114.3,.... 19x8.5 (all 4) and approx +30 offset. Comes with the pictured Michelin tyres that vary from 5-20% tread, probably not roadworthy at all, but they fit the size perfectly, 245/40/19. Inspection and pickup from Hampton Park (at Scotty's place started at $1200 but for SAU member I am open to best nearest offer. Also on Gumtree so they may go, but holler if you're interested. EDIT: in VIC, sorry.... should have been clear in the title.
  16. Have any of you guys used the Wolf's Products? In particular the Hard Body? I'm not a detailer, but I looked into it all pretty hard a while back and their stuff seemed pretty good, the nano stuff they have looks the business. Opinions?
  17. It depends on the process DumpTruck. I am about a week away from driving away in my M35. I got it through J-Spec and could not be happier with the result. So far, it has been 10 weeks since I first paid the broker fee and started the hunting process for the right car. That took only 10 days (And seriously, haven't seen another one as good in the 8 weeks since!!). It is currently being complianced and RWC.... just waiting for the call so I know if it needs anything -else- done before it's all mine. Expect about 12 week turnaround and be happy with anything less is my suggestion. *This is my first ever import.
  18. Ok Scotty, I'm with you.. Honestly, for the next 3 yrs or so, this car is just daily, street only. I'l probably get the newer model then when they are compliance approved. Also, I don't have a pare $2-3K to spend on wheels so, honestly speaking, I just want it to look sweet and ride nice. on your previous point about front wheels and offset, can you please be blunt for me... what should the offset be on front compared to rear for wheels to fit inside the guards?
  19. So, you guys are saying that any wheels that cost less than about $2k a set are all just copies, and the quality is (potentially) questionable? Sheehs! Now I REALLY wish my Stag had OEM's on it.
  20. Haha Scotty, I have seen all that, there's about 5 images.. and then 50x12,000 copies of the same ones. As I understand it, Rota make about 1/3 of the OEM wheels in the market anyway....... So.. interesting that you would say you prefer OEM (I believe ENKEI are responsible for much of the OEM market also). In other news, what about the Varrstoen wheels? This car is a daily and being held for eventual resale value mostly. It will probably not ever see a track so I'm not chasing performance wheels, just a pretty fit.
  21. Cheers Daleo, um.. i'm a massive noob.. WTF is guard rolling? is it like flaring the original guard instead of bolt-on (like axis etc)? Is the max width without rolling, 9? Seems like there's much less 9 than 9.5 out there. Wish I understood the offset mumbo a little better to make a good call. I'm thinking about some of these... Haven't got much cash to splash on wheels and tyres. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rota-GRID-19-x-9-0-20-5x114-3-/150664390583?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23144c27b7
  22. Here's another person asking for answers! My incoming m35 has a set of Venerdi 19" 5 spoke chromes on it that I WILL NOT be keeping. (read.. for sale!) there's so much variation in preferences and all that for tyres and wheel size, offset, width etc.... all I want to know is... What wheels do I get so that they fit with NO modification. they will likely be: 19" x width<?> offset <?> currently wearing 245/40x19" HALP!
  23. ... As I sit here, waiting for my 'new' 2002 M35 to roll of a boat any day now.. I am wondering what have I got myself into....

    Incoming!

So, This is currently on (my guess is) deck 9 of the Morning Miracle, on it's way to Port Melbourne... for me! I'm not a workshop guy, so I need help here. A few things.... 1: I need a workshop in Melbourne that won't charge me the earth to maintain it, but will do a great job, especially the first checkup.. it's just a daily. 2: it has lowered springs... do they seem too low to you? will that hurt it over time? 3: THOSE WHEELS!!!! Anyone in the market for some REAL Venerdi 19" Chrome 5's .. (currently fitted with 245/40x19's I am looking into replacement wheels, not sure about fit etc though. 19x9.5 ... just want them to fit.. not really into the whole "stance" thing... 4: The Works Bell paddle mod.. it seems easy enough.. is it reliable etc? this is the first car I have ever risked going auto for! 5: maybe that's enough for now!
