  1. i have been browsing this forum a bit, looking in the threads and i am finding that there isnt one clean cut how-to for the RB30 (rb25det head). i am not complaining, its just that each page of the 300+ page thread, something else pops up. maybe there is a link? not asking to be spoonfed but is anyone aware of a pictorial/step by step thread anywhere rather than 300+ pages of discussion? thanks in advance.
  2. need head for RB30DETT build. I live in Okinawa, Japan and i need it shipped. Let me know.
  3. looking to buy an RB30 bottom end please PM me heres the kicker, i live in Okinawa Japan, so I need someone to ship it and Im prepared to pay.
  4. worked on my fitament last night.....
  5. the spacers are the cheap part. the tricky part is finding what mm tire to put on what inch rim. these are 9.5in with 215mm tires, i am going to go to 205mm tires but with a bit taller sidewall when i get these powder coated. i jsut broke down and bought hub adapters on my lunch break so im going ot be able ot come out a little more in the rear so itll be perfect.
  6. i use royal purple 10w40 full synth with a higher pressure filter, runs smooth but i do have slightly ticky lifters. i jsut wanted to add that i get it on the US bases by the quart for about 5-6USD a quart so a royal purple oilchange is still only about 40 USD with royal purple, i dont know how pricey it is in the land down unda "you betta run you betta take cova"
  7. does anyone make a full coilover or even a sleeved style coil for the R33 that has an extended tophat, at least in the front, to buy yourself an extra inch (or 3-4cm) of travel? i have JICs now and the spring tension and shock body length/ride height is not independently adjustable. so they ride like shit. i would love to have something that (1) has them independently adjustable and (2) has a tall tophat any suggestions?
  8. added quick releases to the front bumper, added about 2mm of spacing and about 1cm drop, fitament is almost perfect now in my eyes.
  9. I am on Okinawa, but I am a civilian and have a house in Gushikawa. the picture of the rear is deceiving. its rolled, i just countoured it so its not rolled where it doesnt need to be. my limitation thre is lug length. i have the nismo long studs on there so either i need to go to a hub adapter or get different wheels. i want to get a set of gram light 57 psos and powdercoat them an obnoxious color like metallic tangerine because the make those in like a 12-15 offset so i would only need about 10mm of spacer to get them out there "lip to fender" thanks for the compliments. i heard the aussies were a tough crowd like "the night rider"
  10. Thanks. I was shooting for the gangster look.
  11. I'm American. defense contractor and i live in japan. here are a couple quick snips of my R33. i rarely post here. i bought it stock from osaka, had it shipped to my island. i'll list the mods if anyone cares: 17x9.5 Try force zelda +20offset with 20mm spacers (so they are 0 now) boost limiter hose removed boost solenoid grounded hks velocity stack filter JIC coilovers 5zigen exhaust trust test pipe hks ssq blow off valve apex boost gauge nismo white duracon shift knob joined this site because i needed to find a country who got the skyline that spoke english and you cool-ass aussie people ALMOST speak english , i am a Mad Max fan, and i cant stand Brits, sooooo it made sense.
  12. would you ship to okinawa?
  13. i emailed the guy, im looking for a few other things too...carbon fiber fender flares, hood and trunk lid. sorry for my american terminology. what are they..... guard flares, bonnet and boot lid?
  14. thank you. where could this nismo bumper be had?
  15. i saw 3-4 cars with it in the R33 phto thread so its not completely uncommon whatever it is. i like the Trust but its a wee little bit too much for my taste.
  16. i thought the point of a CF hood was to drop weight...
  17. also wondering about his one
  18. just like us marines boot camp. trash can and billy club, 3 men screaming at the top of their lungs, talk about sound asleep to full throttle in 3 seconds.
  19. this is the route im going, i ditched the little hose from the boost solenoid to the "t" fitting with the restrictor in it, by passed the coolant hose thru the throttlebody and tonight i am ditching the dual boost gimmick, looking for a manual boost controller and a boost gauge tonight as well. that should give me enough kick in the ass until i put a top mount, garret, FMIC. thanks for the help. thats 12% of the country, but hey, you guys have your "mick dundees" like everyone else too.
  20. wider.....so you just need the gtr fenders too?
  21. when i read you guy's posts, i read them wit han australian accent in my head. is that weird?
  22. turbo should be ok, car has very low miles. im not looking to get ridiculous. i am getting a FMIC in a week, thats why i am asking, because i know with a front mount, i am going to get a pressure drop. i guess stock is something like 4psi to 8psi dual stage(you guys use metrics?) and im lookin for i guess something like 12psi on the stock turbo with a front mount. that should hold me over til i pick up a atermarket manifold, turbo and external wastegate.
  23. i have a gtst r33, series 1 skyline. wondering the best route to go to turn up the boost on the stock snail. i was told the greddy profec requires an hks fuel cut eliminator.... is there a boost controller that takes care of raised fueling needs? i feel like a total retard going from high comp NA hondas to boosted nissans. thanks for the help.
  24. they are 18x10 in the rear with a 235/40 tire. actually, a lot of the roads here suck. i jsut miss the big ones. i lived in southern california so my pot holes avoidance skills are highly acute. they ride just fine. i got them nitrogen filled to about 37psi so i dont have to mess with them. im curresntly looking for a set of beater wheels, at least rear, for saturday nights.
  25. some of the hondas i have had were a couple of CRXs, one of which is a b20vtec set up. last one i had was a 2000 coupe with an lsvtec set up. the air here is fine, its okinawa. i am a good mechanic. i just need to learn a few skyline-specific things.
