I told MCA that the roads up here are pretty bad, potholes etc, he said, he would go for the comfort orientated ones, but should still handle nice on the road. The little I drove , I did not see much differnce from the GTR set up, but have not done much driving. Trouble is I stuffed my left shoulder Rotator Cuff just before I got them installed, so driving the R has been a bitch and changing gears a nightmare, so I really have not had much of a chance to give the car a bit of splat but maybe tomorrow I will give it a bit of stick and see how it feels. The Auto Tiida Rules The tune is being looked at next week, bit of a dead spot at around 5k rpm then gets going again. Could be the boost controller in the ECU, should be easily fixed. No Mate, it is a stock model line they have. Assemble and send. Nothing on the invoice except the model , X-C comfort I just told my bloke to make sure it is legal height, do not need visitors poking around under the hood

I get no pleasure out of any of this shit, I doubt I will get everything back, there was $2400 odd in travel expenses for everytime I had to leave the car there. I would like to get square with the repairs I had to have done, but who knows what will happen Anyone else had this sort of problem and tried to get reimbursed , if so any helpful tips would be appreciated

For anyone that has no life and followed this thread and missed my other post in the "Coolant Thread" . There are other videos in that coolant thread if you are interested. I had copped a lot of crap over this leak and it is great to be able post the "Final Leak Result" This is the Video of where the water was going from the day 1 when I picked the car up after the build in March last year, "THE REAL LEAK" not the BS leak out of the top radiator hose that was sent to me from the workshop. I offered all of the Videos to the workshop but as usual , they did not reply ????? On a brighter note, I had the MCA X-C comfort coilovers installed ( very Pretty) and the drivers side kingpin spindle machined so the bearings fitted snug. That is a tough one, you would be on the road as normal but with friends in other cars going to the same location, what difference is that to going for a drive ? I wonder if there are more hidden restrictions that could pop up and bite your arse ???

HI, been a while. like the video, read the report ? Just reading the thread again, yes I have just started taking action, what more proof do I need that this was a F**k up from day 1. That is what was said, also that the leak probably happened on the Dyno while being tuned. When you tune a car you do not have to drill the stud holes out, lol

I suppose if I needed something in black and white, this is what I needed. As you would know it is very hard to fight this type of thing with motors but when the evidence points to the only time when the problem could have been caused, it helps , but it will get messy

Yeah , this is the difference . You really need an independent workshop to asses the problem, otherwise it would be hard to prove the original shop did the damage. Most blokes could not have persisted as it is very expensive. But sooner or later you have to do it when you know the water is going somewhere and it is not on the ground. The motor could not last forever with this problem, as it was, there was a lot of work to get it back to 100%.

This is where the water was really going. THERE are some swear words in the vid , if it offends do not watch it or turn volume off. If you can buy a car that is not loosing money , you are way ahead I spent heaps on mine, but it looks and drives the way I want it, worth every cent! "Not driving your car is like not sleeping with your girl so she is more desirable to the next guy". Cars not much use if you do not drive it, BUT I like the idea of being the next guy

There are heaps of newer cars around that drive better than Skylines, faster and better on the track, well unless the R is really modded up from the wheels to the hood, stripped to the shell , or both. BUT not all of us are boy racers and love the Rs , because we luvem! Before someone jumps on me, you do not have to be 20 ish to be a boy racer, if there was something close to where I live I would love to do some track driving, cannot imagine what it would be like to be going around a wide open road with no speed restrictions, trees, posts, gullies, cliffs, potholes, cows, Roos , one lane and cars coming in the other direction, must be heaven and a shit load of fun

Makes looking after your GTR worth the expense, yeah Better up the insurance
