I know what you mean, but my body is stuffed and I could not do the work, even if I was capable of doing it, NOT! , lol I am feeling confident with the new shop, he tells it as it is , even if I am a pest at times, like all the time, haha

Hi James, yeah it has been going on since the build back in March last year. I had to have the tests and checks done elsewhere and the true problem was found after the motor was pulled out and a long process of checking each possible cause. I do have a full report and have given it to the builder, I will wait to hear from them . The report is pretty conclusive as to where the problem was and when it happened .

Yeah, looking forward to getting it back, had so much shit after the build , there were not many good times, well except straight after Jez tuned it, that was fun but had to put the car in the garage for 2 months until I could have the leak looked at properly and without any crap. I will try very hard to get a fair result as far as the $s go, I have plenty of time on my hands

No mate you must have missed it, I said it "was" proven to have been done during the 3.2 build and there could be NO other reason for the ongoing leak. Just have to give the builder a fair go and see what happens. I do not feel I should have to pay to get the job done again, paid enough already

Most of the work has been done and I have just received the report. Then , maybe the real "final tune", lol I informed the builder it had been proven that the problem was caused at the time of the build but I have had no reply as yet and I will send the report to them today and see what they say. It was a massive job that included pulling the motor out, the leak was found but not proven where it was coming from except from the main bearing, then sent to a motor builder where extensive work was carried out, head and block underwent all of the tests and came back OK. A camera had to be used to look into some areas that were hard to get to and the problem was found and finally fixed. I have a feeling it is going to get very messy.

What injectors are you running now and if you change them, what would you use ?

When I spoke to the bloke there , he seemed quiet happy for new customers, guess they changed their minds ?? I would call them ?

People just need to focus on the task of not running into anything, everything else (keeping eyes attached to the speedo included) can wait. The trouble is, in most cars today you need to watch the speedo, I should say, be aware of it at all times, the slightest pressure on the throttle and you can be 10klm + over the limit on the freeway. I use my GPS to keep me on the ball without watching the speedo, but the beeping will drive you nuts Some cars are worse than others for this.

It is a wonder that they let some high powered cars to be sold out of the showrooms, oh I forgot, high tax on expensive cars , silly me

I find it easy to stick with the lines, apart from the Tiida my cars have always had enough grunt to slid by easily. Ever notice it is a good hiding place for the HP when a straight stretch of road hits double lines , they used to love it down the National park road to the Gong , not sure what it is like nowadays ?

When I get to an overtaking lane and the person in front has been dordling along 10 to 20 klms under the limit, there is no chance of smelling anything coming out of the back of a car that has had me pinned down for 5 to 20 klm and he had better have a rocket up his arse to stop me getting in front of him/her That is safe speeding , stops me wanting to kill the prick

I know someone in a fast car that still overtakes the AH that guns it in this situation, gets infront of them and slows right down to let them see what it is like, feels so good, I would imagine, but road rage can be the end result, LOL But this person does not do it anymore, he has mellowed a little

Back when I am talking about the cops would have to be following you to get the speed you were doing, now they just use radar. Frustration can get to you and if you were to stay at the speed limit when overtaking , you want to be sure there is a big gap between you and any cars coming the other way.

Yes and Yes Trouble is now if you overtake someone doing 90 in a 100 zone you must not go faster than 100. That does not work in most cases. Sometimes when they see you overtaking a lot will speed up and leave you hanging out there, then you have to back off and fall in behind them again or stamp on it and before you get by you could be doing 140ish +, goodbye license, maybe goodbye car ?? Back when I was younger I think the rule was or as I understood it ( before radar speed detectors) " wait till you have a clear section of the road and overtake as quickly as you can and pull back in to the lane and resume driving at the speed limit" this makes more sense. Maybe my memory just wants me to believe that was how it was, because that was what I did

I just wish they would also go for the drivers that piss around at 10klm UNDER the speed limit, How many times are you in a 60 zone with a boofhead doing 45 or 50, then it changes into a 50 zone and they do 55. They do it all the time up here (country town) The best are the drongos that do 60 t0 70 in a 80 zone and get to an over taking lane and off they go to 90 If you get booked for speeding you should also get book for holding traffic up

The cars I used to drive were dangerous at legal speed, we could drive as fast as you thought was safe on most country roads if you considered you were in full control of the car, LOL These old cars were heaps of shit compared to the cars of today. Most would not do over 80MPH and took longer to stop than a ship. They would flip over any time when pushed past the roll stage. I drive down the highway to Sydney going up and down from 110-100-80-100-80-70-110 etc and if you miss a sign, you are in the shit! I drive off my GPS on the Highway, speedo on City roads, no showing off and judgement on empty country roads

I know it is wrong but I know some people do this. On country roads where you can see in both directions and NO one is is in your vision front or back they tend to have a few runs and while revving their foot can slip off the clutch and create a launch situation. This is as safe as it gets on the road , but you should not do it and should never be done where there are people or other cars around, that is called ,showing off, so I believe. I am 73
