  1. ActionDan what are you doing for shoulder rehab? Get some Therabands from a physio and maybe a lacrosse ball for "deep tissue massage", light dumbbells also work, for doing "lucky cats" (external shoulder rotations / rotator cuff exercise). Attach the theraband to a door handle or table leg and practise retracting your scapula then drawing your elbow back, keeping it close to the body... these are the sorts of things my physio got me doing after I damaged mine.
  2. Which GTRs? All I know is I was held up by one GTR in particular
  3. Thanks to the organisers for putting on a great event. Got lucky with the weather today. Here's an arty shot for now.
  4. Basically yep. I think all our texas bars have the knurling in the middle except one or two that are dedicated for bench. We got 2x dedicated squat bars which are 25kg and thicker as part of the buy.
  5. That place looks awesome Tony, and pretty cheap too
  6. Cheers man. Didn't use to be. This section is completely new (like yours). The old section is still very "health club" like. Souths Juniors train here occasionally and they've got their first PL comp being held here next month.
  7. ^^ I agree. I hate the slippy slidey cross-fit style bars. I need proper knurling in the middle too, for squats.
  8. Knurling that tears the crap outta your hands = gold! Proper deadlifting platforms, how good are they!
  9. Thanks fellas. Yeah, the hips rising early is a bit of a common thing I do. I'm thinking it's related to not engaging my lats enough and thus not "drawing the bar back" quite enough. Birds I'm 5'9 / 175cm or thereabouts. I think I've got slightly shorter limbs (femur in particular) and longer torso than average, which is supposedly common with my heritage. I think I'm somewhere between the first and second images in the different types below.
  10. Haha thanks Dan. Yeah lockout was a bit shaky!
  11. Been a while since posting here. Finally got the 220 out @ 85.5kg BW on the weekend, so stoked. Hopefully 500# not too far away now.
  12. Thanks for organising Luke. Had a great drive even if it was a last minute decision for me to go and I arrived late. Traffic and weather were both perfect by the time I left for the Gong. Great pizzas at PITM as always. Was good to clear the cobwebs out of the little E21. Brakes were starting to struggle a little on Jamberoo Mtn Road, but it was good to have obviously some good drivers in front and behind.
  13. Awesome GTR, and great vid @ Wakefield mate. GLWS
  14. Wow that's an expensive way to pour concrete!
  15. Beautiful. The lake still looks really full. I did it back in about 2005. How long did it take you? I think it ended up taking us about 7-8 hours with breaks and photos and stuff. And pretty bad sunburn! Oh and what's with the concrete pour??
  16. I'll be there as well. Andy Fishtail Fisher will also be doing a demo in the Jesus Racing Ute.
