  1. only if your intentions are to cruise, or put 10 bucks in to get u round till vp racing is available, getting car tuned on 100 n then go use 98 isnt advised. just dont give it full load
  2. do the plugs u put in have smaller gap now than the ones that were in it?? easiest way to avoid misfire is to do so but does point to coil packs not being able to handle the load..
  3. na its 2.6 not 2.7...cheers nismoid, your a legend.. the .63 ex housing on my previous 35/40 would start to make boost at 2800rpm, im looking for one that comes on song about 4000rpm.. give or take. but ideally if the target hp (450hp) is reached then i'm happy either way... next is the fact the manifold has a t3 flange, with previous turbo (.63 ex housing) the housing and manifold and top of dump pipe would glow red at cruise on dyno, not even giving it a power run, was thinking maybe the t3 flange is abit restrictive so enlarging to t4 flange might have to be the go this time round also.????????????
  4. is a good choice to upgrade to vg30 housing, i had this done on mine and was very happy with overall results.. like the picture slide shows of the two housing i identified the vg turbo by measurements of ex housing, the distance between snail and dump flange is bigger in vg than rb, turns out there was no extra cost to adapt the housing as it was straight bolt up. managed 258kw at wheels too, gcg done the hi flow and swapped housings, great upgrade i believe, good luck
  5. ah i see, thanks nismoid, much clearer, now comes the choice of .8 ex housing or 1.0 and whether t3 flange is restricting it enough to go to t4?

Hey i recently had a GT35/40 turbo on my rb25 but it had a .63 ex housing when i bought it, well that was abit responsive and not ideal for the power range im after, so it is now sold.......... my issue now is im not sure whether to buy another GT35/40 turbo with a larger ex housing OR use a T04Z with similar size ex housings.....anyone no which would be a better choice???? Power output im chasing is 450hp at wheels, lag could be an issue, so thats why im asking for any opinnions.... cheers guys.. 35/40 or T04Z????? oh n i forgot to mention, its a t3 flange at the moment but am changing that to t4 at present so both turbo choices will be used in conjunction with a T4 flange

As title reads, i have a xtr gt35/40 turbo for sale .7 front compressor cover .63 exhaust housing it is a ball bearing core, oil/water cooled compresor cover is polished item is 2nd hand and my plans have changed so i am not going to use the turbo anymore still has the tags to match numbers, find out specs etc...   14. comes with hi mount manifold, dump/front pipe is one peice about to cat, then from there if i join it to old system will be 3 inch metal cat, pipe all the way to back end where a y piece with twin straight through cannons are. not sure of the restriction. again drone is not a concern for me as car isnt going to be driven everyday i have another car for that purpose..
  15. the turbo has a dump pipe n front pipe already with it, think its about 2 n 3/4 or 3 inch. think i'll just leave it, drone isnt a concern. was more wondering whether retaiing 3" is going to disadvantage my desired power output. cheers

Hey guys, ive recently sold my hi flow and bought a xtr 35/40 with .63r exhaust housing, i had a 3" full system on the hi flow but exhaust wheel is considerably larger with new turbo and am wondering the backpressure effects of retaining my 3" system over selling my old exhaust and making a 3.5" one for it.. I've noticed that most cars around with bigger hi mount turbo's run 3.5 inch systems. Not sure whether its just what they do or whether same results can be achieved with a 3 inch system. any info would be much appreciated...
  18. i would recommend the gcg hiflow, i had one of them on my rb25, got a vg30 ehxaust housing adapted to it and results were very good, i was more than happy with it. made 258kw at wheels on 15psi, my engine is built however but still expect a signifigant gain over standard turbo.
  19. Ok, car was found. Had a phone call from a lady that works at ashmore ten pin bowling on sunday morning asking if i had my car stolen??? I said yeah on thursday morning n she told me the car had been parked in there carpark since friday night. I went n had a look at it before it was towed away to be finger printed. random small things missing, rear wheels have been replaced with stock 32 gts rims, for skids obviously. Stereo is gone, dash, gearknob, glove box, jack and personal items missing, engine parts were all still there, intercooler has been smashed up under the front of the car, its now got a ding on drivers door and scratch on back end. Im not sure of any engine damage but i'll have to wait n see when i get it back. cheers for the comments guy n gals

  21. hi guys, its a series 1 r33 gtst, its had a custom respray red, 17inch bbs rims, has a dmd lip spoiler on bootlid, m spec front bar with the middle chopped out with a front mount as exterior noticeable parts. 838 HGO is number plate, on gold coast, car was stolen from coomera. cheers
