Personally I'd make sure all the basics are taken care of first before putting more power into it. How many km's has the car done? Has the timing belt and waterpump been done? Engine oil recently been changed? brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs etc. Even doing a cleaning of the aac valve can make a minor improvement in responsiveness, depending how dirty it is of course.
  3. it's an absolute bitch to remove! The only way I managed to take it off was to remove the entire intake manifold. I was removing the intake manifold to replace all the coolant hoses anyway, so i thought I'd check out the cold air regulator while I had access to it. By the looks of it there really isn't too much that can actually go wrong with it and the inside of it wasn't even dirty so maybe the previous owner cleaned it?? It has two hoses that come out of it; one goes back into the aac valve and the other goes into the bottom of the intake manifold so I'd be checking them for any air leaks.
  4. you don't have the factory rear speaker covers by any chance do you?
  5. spotted a red r34 cruising past my place last nite at redbank plains. a whole bunch of us were out the front checking out our friends fully sick micra lol
  6. couldn't of put it better myself lol
  7. front and rear bumper bars are the same with r33 coupes and sedans. Side skirts are longer on the sedan as stated earlier. When I had my 4 door I had a tough time finding a kit for it but ended up getting rear bumper, front bumper and side skirts for around $600 from vivagarage.com. I would highly recommend the kit as it lined up very well and looked quite nice. Only problem is that the front bumper sat a bit too low for my liking.
  8. hey man was wondering if you had the factory rear speaker covers. I've attached a picture as I think the series 1 and 2 have different speaker covers. Thanks!
  9. hey man, i might be able to help out with the rear view mirror and horn. There yours for $10. Both are in good condition. I've attached a picture of both items so you can just confirm that this is what your after. I only have one of the horns though as I think there are 2? don't quote me on that though.
  10. hey there I ended up replacing mine with qfm-hpx brake pads and penrite sin fluid. The brake pads are a great all round pad with very minimal brake dust and no noise but are very grippy and don't seem to chew into the rotors. Also haven't had any problems with the brake fluid.
  11. Hey krazy kong! funny that you should bring this up. I tried fixing my mirrors just yesterday as neither of them want to fold in or out. Though I think in my case the motors are stuffed. I think your problem might be that one of the little contacts has come loose since it's still folding out. I found this link a while ago which is a walk-through on fixing the folding mirrors. If you need any help just let us know http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/93178-r33-electric-side-mirror-repair-s2/page__p__5584548__hl__r33+electric+mirrors__fromsearch__1#entry5584548
  12. lol ah true. you only need to use gasket maker on the half moon cam seals. I used this ultra black gasket maker from supercheap and just put a thin bead around the edges of each cam seal.
  13. spotted a teal coloured r33 in the inala civic center carpark at around midday. was parked right next to me and gave a thumbs up.
  14. what works best for me is a can of crc heavy duty parts and throttle body cleaner. The dirt literally just glides straight off!
  15. I think the rocker cover gaskets were $42 each. the srew washers are like $3 each and the half moon seals are $8 each from memory. so all up you'd be looking at just over $100 including postage. The job itself is really straight forward. There's a d.i.y. located somewhere on these forums. If you live in brisbane I'd be more than happy to give you a hand with it.
  16. oh you'll also need the 2 'half-moon' seals which are located at the back of the rockers covers. you can also get these from justjap for about $8 each i think
  17. hey man I replaced mine just recently and ordered mine through justjap. They're probably the same price if not cheaper than if you were to purchase them from nissan, plus you'll get them in a couple of days...not weeks. And I'd only bother replacing the screw washers if they look really worn. Mine all looked and felt pretty good so I didn't bother replacing any of them but that's totally up to you.

haha yea the cambers fricken crazy! i didnt get a look at the front of the car the other day but after looking at those pics in that ad its not too bad. just not a fan of the flared guards on that particular car and the rear view of the car is just horrid imo.
