hey all, just recently fitted led bulbs to my r33 gtst tail lights. They actually look quite nice...more of a vivid red colour and quicker response than standard bulbs. The problem I'm having is that when I push on my brakes the dash and parkers light up as well as the tail lights. I've read somewhere that fitting a 6A diode will rectify this problem. The thing is I don't know where or how to fit them lol I picked up 4 of the diodes yesterday as I didn't know how many I would need so it would be great if someone could help me out as I'm not really electricaly savvy. Thanks
I wouldn't say a huge difference. you really only notice it under heavy braking. I'm in the process of upgrading pads, rotors, braided brake lines so thought it couldn't hurt to get a brake stopper as well lol
Hi all,
I fitted this cusco brake cylinder stopper a few weeks ago and just wondering if the tightening nut should be on the other side of the stopper or is the way I have it currently setup the correct way? Thanks
I'm after a factory driver side skirt to suit a series 1 r33 preferably in black so I don't have to get it resprayed. must be in good condition as mine currently has a few dings, cracks and scratches and I figure would be cheaper just getting a second hand one instead. Thanks!
man thats heartbreaking! I think a group should be started where we go around and bash the living shit out of these thieving scum. Will keep my eyes peeled mate. definitly not hard to miss
hey man with regards to the blue bulbs I'm pretty sure the bulbs are a T10 type for the speedo and you'll need about 5 bulbs.I just got some off ebay for like $15. In my r33 it was a piece of piss to pull out the speedo and change the bulbs over but you may want to find a tutorial for the r34 on how to remove the dash facia. I'm sure it would be a very similar process and very safe to attemp even if you know very little about electrics. Just make sure the lights are off lol The worst you can do is blow a fuse which are easy to replace. And when it comes to the chip for the ecu you can either go a full stand alone ecu which is quite expensive (upwards of $1000) or a 'piggy-back' ecu (around the $500 mark) which still retains the stock ecu which is what I'm looking at getting myself soon. on top of this you also need to get it tuned which can be another $500 to $1000 depending on what sort of tune your after and what mods are done to the car. but as mentioned by the previous guy don't go getting those dodgy $20 ebay ones which claim to give you like a 20hp gain. It definitly feels good doing things to your car yourself rather than taking it to a mechanic. The best way to learn is searching on these forums. 3 years ago I knew nothing about cars or how to do a basic oil change but now I feel a lot more confident in doing any work on my car thanks to these forums. Those xenons are the shit! I have some in my r33 too
easy check to confirm it is a series 1 is to see if it has the ignition module mounted on top of the coil pack cover towards the rear of the engine. If it doesn't have this then it's a series 2. My series one afm has 5 pins so the series 2 must have 3 then.
