  1. I use armor-all wheel cleaner on my chrome rims and it does a fantastic job! I've been using it for over a year and never had any problems with it. I spray it on my red painted calipers too and they come up looking almost new everytime it has a warning on the back of the bottle saying not to leave the spray on for more than 30 seconds so spray it off fairly quick and I try not to spray it directly on the brake pads.
  2. This has probably been covered before but thought I'd share my experience with removing the gearbox drain plug.Been trying to change the gearbox oil for the past month or so and just couldn't get the drain plug to budge no matter what I did! (my fault as I tightened it up too much last time I changed the oil lol) ended up getting a brand new plug from nissan ($27) as the old one was chewed out pretty good since the size of it is a 13mm drive and I was using a 1/4 inch drive which is just a fraction too small (12.7mm). Got my mate to come out today with his welder and he welded on a wheel nut from a commodore and it came off with almost no effort! So if your having trouble removing the plug don't do what I did and chew out the plug lol buy the proper size tool. Hope this will help some people out in the future
  3. far out mate! those f*#kers seriously need to pay!!! stripping a car for parts is one thing but torching it is just low. If you need a hand with anything mate just give us a bell
  4. oh mate thats not fair! I will definitly keep my eyes open for u. All these thefts are convincing me more and more to stop being a tight arse and get a decent alarm/immobiliser. did u have an alarm fitted?
  5. nope. exactly the same!
  6. I recently purchased a genuine r33 gtr wing and am looking at getting it resprayed the factory black (kh3 i think?) can anyone recommend a good spray painter/ panel beater in the ipswich/brisbane area or if someone on these forums who knows what they are doing would be willing to spray it for me? I just don't have the time at the moment to be calling around to get quotes. cheers!
  7. if your after the door rubber don't even bother with genuine nissan parts. there wanting around $600 for one door lol
  8. yea 4 door and 2 door front and rear bumpers are interchangeable
  9. spotted a maroon 33 yesterday morning going through goodna camira at around 5.45. I was the black 33 behind you.
  10. i just realised you have an r32 lol i imagine the bulbs would be the same if not fairly similar to an r33.
  11. right on mate!
  12. nice! i ended up getting the 8000k. to help you with your question... the side indicators, parkers and license plate lights are all a t10 wedge type bulb. The reverse and rear indicators are a bayonet style bulb (type 1156 with one prong on the bottom) and the brake lights are also a bayonet (type 1157) with two prongs on the bottom. I tried replacing my indicators with led's but I had the rapid flashing problem so I put the old ones back in. Easy problem to fix apparently but I couldn't be bothered. You can get the interior led's from places like supercheap etc. There made to fit a wide range of different connectors and come with all the necessary adaptors to plug and play.
  13. hey these are the hid's im running in my car and think they're fantastic! people saying that they don't disperse the light properly are talking shit! The visibilty at night is amazing and I've never had complaints about blinding oncoming drivers except when I first had them fitted as I had to aim the headlights down just a fraction. technically they are a defect but I've never been done for it and I've had several full vehicle inspections from police at night with the lights on but the risk is totally up to you! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EDX-v1-HID-H1-Xenon-Kit-Skyline-R32-R33-GTR-GTST-8000K-/260659161470?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cb07f297e
  14. piece of piss doing it by yourself! i did it recently as I upgraded to braided brake lines. it takes quite a few pumps of the brake pedal to fully empty the master cylinder anyway. I normally do about 8-10 pumps of the pedal then top up the resevoir and then check to see how full the little container is. one of those magnetic containers would make it so much easier though, rather than trying to balance the container on top of the wheel lol. one tip incase you weren't aware... make sure the container catching the fluid is always sitting above the bleed nipple so its actually pushing the air out.
  15. all good now, picked one up from a wreckers today
  16. Thought I'd repost in the classifieds section in hope of getting more exposure as the title states i'm in desperate need of the steel brake line that goes from the master cylinder to the rubber hose underneath the wheel arch (front drivers side). I've stuffed mine while in the process of upgrading to braided brake lines. All the others came off fine but this one was being an absolute bitch and started to actually twist the line as you can see from the attached picture. anywhere in the brisbane/ipswich area would be fine as I would like to pick up sometime this arvo. My number is 0433 373 183. Thanks
  17. forgot to mention its for the driver side front

yea I don't really ever hear it get a mention on these forums either. I've been going for the past 3 years and see quite a few skylines that go...
  21. I'm not really a fan of the v35's but that looks really nice! Loving the kit on it too!

ahh very nice man! just thought I'd ask but if you ever wanna part with the gtr wing I'd gladly take it off your hands
  23. I seriously can't believe all the skylines getting stolen lately. and these are only the ones that actually get posted on these forums! proper gps trackers need to be made more affordable
  24. nah it's the correct 'two prong' bulbs and i don't have any flashing issues as I only replaced the tail light bulbs not the indicators. and the wiring is definitly all good as it only happened when I put in the led bulbs. Thanks though guys.
  25. hey all, just recently fitted led bulbs to my r33 gtst tail lights. They actually look quite nice...more of a vivid red colour and quicker response than standard bulbs. The problem I'm having is that when I push on my brakes the dash and parkers light up as well as the tail lights. I've read somewhere that fitting a 6A diode will rectify this problem. The thing is I don't know where or how to fit them lol I picked up 4 of the diodes yesterday as I didn't know how many I would need so it would be great if someone could help me out as I'm not really electricaly savvy. Thanks
