  1. Probably time to send through a transmission oil sample LSX-438, or even perform an 'over summer' changeout of the fluid. After all you would be up to about 100 litres of the factory GR6 brew by now
  2. Get in touch with SlipR35 on here......
  3. Yes its a big saving thats for sure....and regardless of what Mizuno might want to tell us all weight taken out of a GTR is good weight taken out of a GTR
  4. Dunc, I am still waiting for UPS to clear my TE37s - should have them tomorrow afternoon all going well, then its straight onto the car for fitment The brand spankers Carrera Cup slicks are sitting here waiting. Also took another 40kg off the car with this baby - our new full Titanium Race exhaust, its light as a feather, around 8kg in total
  5. No real secrets Dan, and suprisingly few mods.... Having said that we are going out again on November 6 and will be reasonably disappointed if we dont bring home a 1:14.XX I think...with some development....there are 1:13 laps in these cars at Mallala. Time will tell
  6. Good to hear you had success with running our new track tuning strategy Marek. Keeping the GTR chassis balanced at partial throttle is one of the keys to getting these cars to run both quick and consistent at the track, this and keeping boost all the way to redline (for good trap speeds and overtaking power) are the keys to improved lap times
  7. WARNING: We now have a Joker in the pack......997 Twin Turbo Porka coming along to lay down the GTR challenge
  8. Here is the new list 1) Martin - Willall Racing R35 GTR 2) Munro - Gun Metallic R35 GTR 3) Seb - Super Silver modified R35 GTR 4) David - Gun Metallic R35 GTR 5) ... I can think of 3 - 4 more that should be straight up starters, get your names in lads or I will get Munro to hunt you down
  9. Dont worry its only the list he will be ahead on.....Results?
  10. Something we normally do as a bit of a Christmas spirit thing is have an impromptu dyno gathering for friends and customers some time around the main break. This year we want to do something a little different and have an R35 GTR dyno session on Saturday December 12. Open to owners of R35 GTRs and their friends it will be a good day to get some base figures of their cars and their mods. We are only looking for around 10 cars in total...and to kick it off - 1) Martin - Willall Racing R35 GTR 2) Munro - Gun Metallic R35 GTR 3) Seb - Super Silver modified R35 GTR 4) ... 5) ... 6) ... 7) ... 8) ... 9) ... 10) ... 6 to go....will make some great comparisons on the day too
  11. Glad we could have been a small part of it Duncan Great stuff!
  12. Nissan has honoured warranty on Willall Fluid equipped cars in the US. In fact NNA (Nissan North America) have a positive stance on our product with several dealers stocking Willall WR35TM Transmission Fluid as a 'user select' option. Australia should eventually follow suit
  13. Not to sound cynical....but to reset a service interval and extend it based on trip factors (High Speed Expressways) in local conditions simply shows that not enough homework was done on the first place. We have known this for a long time - re factory transmission fill being substandard for gear wear prevention, and now the situation compounds to appease owners of high service costs.
  14. 'Kunani' that owns that GTR is a top bloke. He has some of our internal transmission parts in the car and we got to know him a little over some emails and phone calls. Nice person to deal with
  15. 9k, I am sure you will see (or at least hear of!) a 1:14 in a daily driven spec R35 GTR at Mallala before the years end, or at least thats my plan
  16. LSX-438 our local SAU track fiend ran one of our new boost mapped Cobb tunes today at Oran Park, and so far the feedback he has given has been excellent. Looks like you and Keir are good development drivers Munro
  17. I was listening for strange noises coming out from the EVO engine bay....until I realised it was Munros Metallica
  18. Great day for sure Excellent test of our new boost mapping for the R35 GTR ECU with both cars strongly in the 1.15 zone and also a pleasing result out of the EVO X with a 1.18 second lap Still good old RH9 was the best sounding car out there I think.....
  19. The beauty of this Duty Cycle vs RPM wastegate mapping is the removal of the 'spike' that plauges the original Nissan air flow load mapping. Instead of seeing 0.4 bar overboost on wide open throttle upshifts (old way) you will see 0.1bar overboost (new way). In other words you can run higher boost higher in the rev range, without overdoing it in the middle
  20. I am not sure when this will be released to the tuners, however I know Cobb are working on it. Be patient, it will happen
  21. Munro, attached is your dyno graph - Holds good boost to the top of the rev range using the new RPM based WGDC control system, and from the logging we were seeing you are starting to get marginal on injector flow hence 1.0 bar at 6500rpm is about the limit of boost you would want for good durability and this fuel system setup In metric speak your GTR went from 281.7awkw (stock tune Willall midpipe) to 333.3awkw with the new custom tuning. Thats 18% gain (51awkw), which is highly noticeable, and useable without any spikes in the midrange, and no sharp boost taper in the top end This kind of figure - 333awkw - on a Mainline dyno is extremely impressive from such a simple setup - Midpipe and Tune
  22. Thanks TunersGroup. I am not sure of your relationship with the car owner, but we had a couple of different hubs and adapters sent to us over a couple of weeks to get this to work plus maybe 20 hours input. I met the owners of Works Bell at PRI in Orlando (USA) in 2008, they actually shared a stall with us directly opposite (International Alley) stall 412, so we had a good grounding et. al. However like you say this probably isnt the best thread to jump in overall, its a whole car build, not just a steering boss thingy - which works fine now
  23. Thanks for the heads up Tuners Group, however I can tell you we spent many, many hours with the actual parts in our hands, clever experienced people on board, and the wiring, and plenty of our mods making it all come together, because one thing it is not is straight fit. There is some work to be done in that department yet......
  24. Simple answer....if you got one you can....if not, well you know what to do After seeing the custom race trailer thats built for it though I would "suggest" it might be a half decent Time Attack kind of thing - just a hunch is all
  25. It has a very nice steering wheel too with remote mounted shift paddles that looks like this - Then goes like this - It is my current favourite this car
