Depends what you're working on, Imperial are pretty useless for Jap cars unless you have a f**ked bolt the right socket just won't go onto right as everything is in metric. If you're working on old school Yank tanks all the time though you'd probably find Metric are a bit useless instead. Kinchrome are great though cus dat lifetime warranty.

It's either a Jatco RE4R01A or RE5R01A it will say on the blue build plate on your engine bay, most likely the 4 speed not the 5 speed. You shouldn't have any issue replacing it with another RB auto. The R33 runs an RE4R03A which I believe is a newer version of pretty much the same box so that is likely a possibility as well.

There is threads specifically for this purpose, nevertheless the part number you require is '23781-AA500' and the Japanese for it is 'ﾊﾞﾙﾌﾞ ｱﾂｾﾝﾌﾞﾘ-,AAC'

Wow people still use cardomain? On topic though you will just need to replace the HU. The will need to be fixed with an FM band expander, they're not very much. The GPS etc in the headunit is completely useless as it's all for Japan and there is no Australian maps. Most decent modern double din units will do pretty much everything you require or you could just do an iPad/android install which is what it looks like you're leaning towards anyway.

Mine is pretty much perfect if you want it? I've just swapped over to a coupe fusebox so Don't need the old one.

I broke a Kinchrome 3/8" ratchet and breaker with jack handle over the end trying to undo different rears. If you have a 1/2" socket and breaker it'll do it a lot easier than the smaller stuff.

Hey mate unfortunately with these earlier models it's a little more difficult to grab the info for the options. With later models(33 onward, 93 or so onwards it seems) it gives you a box with all the oprions for that particular car like up the page but for 32 and earlier it gives you a bunch of charts etc that you need to look through so it's a bit harder to work out what's what.

You can get new screens off ebay, they're not too pricey generally. Not too difficult to replace either.
