  1. It's fiberglass, so it can't be factory moded. I think it came from Japan, but I really don't know. That would look mean. I'll try painting it black after/if I paint the car.
  2. The kit was on the car when I bought it. I don't know what it is, but it's not Autech. The intercooler is level now. I cut some off the crash guard to make it fit.
  3. You're more west than I am. I don't mean to be vague, I just don't like giving out personal information.
  4. It's just hard to see them there. Thats where I have them now, and I'll probably leave them there.
  5. My turbo died. Long live the turbo! It's a Holset HE351. Very similar to the HX35. Still have stock injectors so it leans way out and pulls timing. With a bad tune and weak injectors it made 288hp (215rwkw) on 18 psi. I'll post up a dyno chart when I get some injectors and a good tune.
  6. I'm having the exact same problem. Runs perfectly at 95% throttle. But when I mash the pedal, it coughs and dies. My TPS had the same readings as yours. I took my TPS apart and cleaned it. It isn't hard, but you can break it if your not extremely careful. I can adjust it correctly now (0.47 ~ 4.09), but I still have the miss. I'm running BKR7E plugs gapped at 0.8 (0.030"). I've also run BCPR7ES plugs, they run the same. My coils are good. I also have a bad turbo and a boost leak.. so that is likely my problem. Do you have a boost leak?
  7. I want to put some gauges on the A Pillar in my A31. What mount-pod-thing will fit? S13, R32, Z32? Nothing?
  8. Figure out what everything is. I'll draw a label that you can print it on sticker paper. (Or have printed at a print shop.)
  9. 180sx s13 is also not the same. But if your willing to cut and weld, it would be a closer match than a 200sx/Silvia.
  10. I'm helping a mate put an R32 RB26 in his R34 GTS. He already went out and bought an R34 PowerFC. I know that the R32/R33 & R34 have different part numbers. Will the R34 PFC work with the R32 motor? What is the difference between the two?
  11. That's the TPS signal wire. The other connector on the TPS (the one that you've glued back together) is the throttle switch, it only signals open/close. You didn't post what motor your working on. This my best guess based on my cars. The factory service manual is your friend.
  12. My car does the EXACT same thing. I think it might be a bad cold start valve on mine. Post up if you get it fixed (and I'll do the same).
  13. I changed that lead on my cef when I bought it. Take the battery out. It wasn't that hard, but it would help if your a left handed contortionist.
  14. You have a set of spanners, right? Just find someone who owns a GTR.
  15. Your right. I will try to patch up all the broken wires in the loom. I don't see these other wires on the wiring diagram. Any idea what they do?
  16. I'm trying to get aircon going in my cef. The loom is missing the 2 pin connector for the compressor. Will it work if I just put 12v on the clutch wire? What does the 2 pin connector do?
  17. Looks like a gtr intercooler.

    Do'h

Wow, I had no idea the police could search your car like that. Over here we have similar laws. I've been stopped by the police for my window tint being to dark and my exhaust too loud, both of which were well within legal limits. But I've never heard of the police asking anyone to pop the bonnet so they could rummage around. So can they stop you anytime for anything on a whim? How common is this?
  19. Ohh, your lucky! You get to find a bad circuit! Pull the positive battery cable off the battery. Hook up a test light between the positive battery terminal and the positive cable. (+terminal -> test light -> +cable) Does the light stay on? If it does, then you have a drain on your battery. Start pulling fuses until the light goes off. Yours is probably the exterior lights circuit. Now that you know which circuit has the drain, you can start unplugging each bulb (or anything else electric) on that circuit. Your clock and cd player will always have a very small current draw. Usually less than 0.06 amps. So it's a good idea to disconnect those before you start. Also, you didn't leave the cabin light on, right?
  20. Speedo cables are not that hard to replace. 30 minutes max. I doubt the cluster is dying. It is probably a symptom of your other electric problems. I don't think its worth the time or money to convert to an electric speedo. But it's your time and money so I won't try to talk you out of it.
  21. If the bulbs are fine then you shouldn't need to change them. I would go around your car and solder & shrink wrap any connections that looks dodgey. A few minutes now will save you headaches later on. I had to fix a broken fuel guage on my gtr a few months ago.. Are you getting a signal from the fuel gauge sender? If you pull up the carpet in the boot and take off the metal cover, you will see the wires for the pump & sender. One pair is for the pump, another pair for the sender, and another for the low fuel indicator. Since we dont have a diagram for this car, you get to figure out which goes where (lucky you). Measure the resistance between the two sensor wires. The gtr should be from 5ohm (full) to 80ohm (emtpy). Cef should be similar. You speedo is driven by that plastic stem. It isn't supposed to come out of the cable. You are going to need a new speedo cable. I've always been told to use a hicas locker if your going to disable hicas.
  22. Sounds like you need an auto elec. Check the ground, accessory, ignition, and battery signals for your cluster. Have a look at an r32 or s13 (or Cef if you can find one!) service manual. Does your car have a mechanical tach?
